REGOLAZIONE DEL BILANCIAMENTO
G: aumenta il suono proveniente dagli al-
toparlanti di sinistra;
H: aumenta il suono proveniente dagli al-
toparlanti di destra.
REGOLAZIONE DEL FADER
N: aumenta il suono proveniente dagli al-
toparlanti anteriori;
O: aumenta il suono proveniente dagli al-
toparlanti posteriori.
FUNZIONE LOUDNESS
Mantenere premuto il tasto selezione loud-
ness (LOUD) [1] per almeno 2 secondi per
attivare/disattivare tale funzione (se l’ef-
fetto di loudness è attivato, sul display ap-
pare la scritta “LD”).
FUNZIONE MUTE
Questa funzione permette di portare au-
tomaticamente il volume a zero.
Premere il tasto MUTE [14]. Il suono
scompare e sul display appare la scritta “MU-
TE”. Premere nuovamente il tasto MUTE per
disattivare la funzione.FUNZIONAMENTO
FUNZIONAMENTO PRINCIPALE
AVVERTENZA Prima di spegnere l’ap-
parecchio, regolate il volume al minimo. Se
il volume è troppo alto quando accendete
l’apparecchio, l’ascolto non sarà ottimale
e lo stesso potrebbe subire danni.
Accensione
e regolazione del volume
1. Per accendere l’autoradio premere il ta-
sto (POWER) [2]. Per spegnerla, mante-
nere premuto il tasto di accensione
(POWER) per almeno un secondo.
2. Premere il tasto di funzione (FUNC)
[2] per selezionare ciclicamente le funzio-
ni Radio, Cassetta, Compact Disc nel se-
guente modo:
Radio ➞Cassetta ➞Compact Disc ➞Radio.
Se non avete inserito una cassetta, appa-
re sul display la scritta “NO CASS”.
Se non avete inserito nessun disco nel CD
Changer o se questo non è collegato, appare
sul display la scritta “NO DISC”.3. Usate i tasti su/giù [3] per regolare
il volume:
N: per aumentare il volume;
O: per diminuire il volume.
Regolazioni del modo audio
1. Premere il tasto del modo audio (A-M)
[1] per selezionare il modo di regolazio-
ne. Il modo cambia come segue ad ogni
pressione del tasto (A-M):
BASS/TREB (bassi/acuti) ➞BAL/FAD (bilan-
ciamento/fader) ➞ modo precedente.
2. Regolate i bassi e gli acuti con i tasti si-
nistro/destro e quelli su/giù [19], [3].
REGOLAZIONE DEI BASSI
G: i bassi diminuiscono;
H: i bassi aumentano.
REGOLAZIONE DEGLI ACUTI
N: gli acuti aumentano;
O: gli acuti diminuiscono.
3. Regolate il bilanciamento ed il fader
con i tasti sinistro/destro e quelli su/giù
[19], [3].

FUNZIONI RADIO
Ascolto della radio
1. Premere il tasto di funzione (FUNC)
[2] per selezionare il modo radio.
Premete il tasto BAND [17] per selezio-
nare la banda di ricezione FM (FM1, FM2,
FM3) o AM (MW/LW). Ad ogni pressione
la banda cambia come segue:
FM1 ➞FM2 ➞FM3 ➞AM ➞FM1.
(La banda FM è sdoppiata in tre sezioni
FM1, FM2, FM3 aventi la stessa gamma di
ricezione in modo tale da permettere la pre-
selezione di 18 stazioni FM).
2. Premere il tasto destro o sinistro [19].
La sintonizzazione si arresta automatica-
mente ad una frequenza di trasmissione
(sintonizzazione automatica).
Sintonizzazione automatica
Ci sono due tipi di sintonizzazione automa-
tica: distante (DX), che permette di sintoniz-
zare tutte le stazioni che si possono ricevere
e locale (LO), che permette di sintonizzare so-
lo le stazioni dal segnale più forte.
Sintonizzazione automatica
distante (DX)
1. Premere il tasto BAND [17] per sele-
zionare la banda.
2. Premere il tasto destro o sinistro [19].
Sul display appare la scritta “DX” e la sin-
tonizzazione si arresta automaticamente ad
una frequenza di trasmissione.
Sintonizzazione automatica
locale (LO)
1. Premere il tasto BAND [17] per sele-
zionare la banda.
2. Mantenere premuto il tasto destro o si-
nistro [19] per almeno 1 secondo. Sul di-
splay appare la scritta “LO” e la sintoniz-
zazione si arresta automaticamente ad una
frequenza di trasmissione.
Sintonizzazione manuale
1. Premere il tasto BAND [17] per sele-
zionare la banda.
2. Mantenere premuto il tasto BAND [17]
per almeno 2 secondi.
3. Sul display appare la scritta “MAN” e
sarà possibile effettuare la sintonizzazione
manuale.
4. Premere i tasti sinistro/destro [19]
per sintonizzare le stazioni.
Si ritorna automaticamente al modo di sin-
tonizzazione automatica dopo 7 secondi.
Memorizzazione manuale
delle stazioni
Con i tasti di preselezione si possono me-
morizzare 24 stazioni (6 per ciascuna del-
le bande FM1, FM2, FM3, AM) nel modo
seguente:
1. Premere il tasto BAND [17] per sele-
zionare la banda della stazione da presele-
zionare.
2. Usate i tasti sinistro/destro [19] per
sintonizzare la stazione da preselezionare.
3. Mantenete premuto per almeno 2 se-
condi il tasto di preselezione [12] in cui
desiderate memorizzare la stazione.
AVVERTENZAQuando si memorizza
una stazione, la stazione precedentemen-
te memorizzata con quel tasto, viene can-
cellata.
Memorizzazione automatica
1. Premere il tasto BAND [17] per sele-
zionare la banda delle stazioni da presele-
zionare.
2. Mantenete premuto per almeno 2 se-
condi il tasto AS [10]. Le stazioni dai se-
gnali forti sono memorizzate automatica-
mente nella memoria delle preselezioni.

(Nel caso in cui ci fossero meno di 6 sta-
zioni memorizzabili, le stazioni preceden-
temente memorizzate rimangono nei tasti
in cui non è stato possibile memorizzare
nuove stazioni).
Richiamo delle stazioni
memorizzate
1. Premere il tasto BAND [17] per sele-
zionare la banda.
2.Premere i tasti di preselezione [12]
per selezionare la stazione desiderata.
FUNZIONI RDS
RDS (Radio Data System)
Per attivare la funzione RDS, la radio de-
ve essere sintonizzata in banda FM.
Il sistema RDS consente, con le trasmit-
tenti abilitate, la sintonia automatica della
frequenza ottimale della stazione scelta
(funzione AF); potrete così continuare ad
ascoltare la stazione senza dover modifica-
re la frequenza quando cambiate zona. Na-
turalmente è necessario che la stazione in
ascolto sia ricevibile nella zona che state at-
traversando.Qualora il segnale sia molto debole e/o di
cattiva qualità l’audio dell’autoradio viene
eliminato per qualche secondo per la ricer-
ca della stazione alternativa. Nel caso que-
sto fenomeno si ripeta frequentemente, si
consiglia di disattivare la funzione AF.
Nel caso in cui non si riuscisse più a rice-
vere chiaramente un’emittente RDS nella
posizione attuale, con funzione AF attiva,
sul display lampeggerà la scritta “AF”. Una
volta ripristinata la condizione di corretta
ricezione, “AF” smetterà di lampeggiare.
Il sistema RDS consente inoltre alla radio
di visualizzare il nome dell’emittente che
viene ricevuta (funzione PS).
Ricerca frequenze alternative
(funzione AF)
Premete il tasto AF [7] per attivare/di-
sattivare la funzione. Se la funzione è atti-
va, sul display appare (o lampeggia) la scrit-
ta “AF”.
Se la ricezione di un emittente sintoniz-
zata peggiorasse, la scritta “AF” inizierà a
lampeggiare e l’apparecchio tenterà di pas-
sare su una frequenza alternativa. Se la
commutazione non potesse aver luogo, il di-
splay indicherà la scritta “SEARCH” e l’au-
toradio sintonizzerà la stazione presente pri-
ma di iniziare la ricerca.
Funzione REG
(programmi regionali)
È possibile attivare la funzione REG solo
quando è già attiva la funzione AF.
Per attivare/disattivare la funzione REG
(Programmi Regionali), che serve a sinto-
nizzarsi solo su emittenti locali (regionali),
tenere premuto il tasto AF [7] per almeno
2 secondi. Se la funzione è attiva, sul di-
splay appare la scritta “REG”.
Se la funzione non è attiva, se siete sin-
tonizzati su una stazione regionale operan-
te in una determinata area ed entrate in un’
area diversa, viene ricevuta la stazione re-
gionale della nuova area.
La funzione REG non è attiva durante la ri-
cezione di un’emittente nazionale.
Sintonizzazione manuale
delle emittenti regionali
collegate
È possibile attivare questa funzione solo
quando si ricevono emittenti regionali col-
legate se la funzione AF è già attiva e la fun-
zione REG è disattivata con la seguente pro-
cedura:
1. Premere uno dei tasti di preselezione
[12] per richiamare un’emittente regionale.

2. Se la ricezione dell’emittente richia-
mata non è ottimale, premete nuovamente
lo stesso tasto di preselezione [12] e l’ap-
parecchio si posizionerà su un’emittente re-
gionale collegata.
Funzione TA
(informazioni sul traffico)
Con la funzione TA è possibile:
– effettuare automaticamente la ricerca
delle sole stazioni FM-RDS abilitate a tra-
smettere informazioni sul traffico. Se siete
sintonizzati su una di queste stazioni, ap-
pare sul display la scritta “TP”;
– ricevere informazioni sul traffico anche
se è in funzione il lettore di cassette o di
Compact Disc.
Per attivare la funzione premere il tasto TA
[9]. Se l’emittente di partenza non è abi-
litata a fornire informazioni sul traffico (sul
display non appare la scritta “TP”), la ra-
dio si sintonizzerà automaticamente su quel-
la più vicina abilitata a trasmetterle e ap-
parirà sul display la scritta “TA”.
AVVERTENZE
Se non è possibile sintonizzare alcuna
emittente RDS TA, l’apparecchio continueràla ricerca all’infinito. Per bloccarla, preme-
te nuovamente il tasto TA [9].
Se la ricerca è invece andata a buon fine
l’autoradio si posizionerà sul modo di stand-
by TA fin quando avranno inizio gli annun-
ci sul traffico. In tal caso apparirà sul display
la scritta “TRA INFO”, seguita dal PS (No-
me Servizio Programma).
Inoltre, la riproduzione di un Compact Di-
sc o di una cassetta verrà interrotta per con-
sentire l’ascolto di informazioni sul traffico
trasmesse da un’emittente RDS TA.
Se premete il tasto TA [9] durante la tra-
smissione degli annunci sul traffico, questi
non verranno fatti ascoltare e l’apparecchio
entrerà nel modo di stand-by TA.
Per memorizzare le emittenti con la fun-
zione TP attivata, eseguire le operazioni di
memorizzazione (vedi paragrafo “Memo-
rizzazione manuale delle stazioni”).
In alternativa alla memorizzazione ma-
nuale, mantenendo premuto il tasto AS
[10] per almeno 2 secondi, verrà effettuata
la memorizzazione automatica (vedi para-
grafo “Memorizzazione automatica”) delle
emittenti con la funzione TP attivata.
Per disattivare la funzione premete nuo-
vamente il tasto TA [9].
Funzione EON
(enhanced other network)
In alcuni Paesi sono attivi dei circuiti che
raggruppano più emittenti abilitate a tra-
smettere informazioni sul traffico (NEWS).
In questi casi il programma della stazio-
ne abilitata a trasmettere informazioni sul
traffico che state ascoltando, sarà tempo-
raneamente interrotto per ricevere le infor-
mazioni sul traffico ogni qualvolta venga-
no trasmesse da una delle emittenti dello
stesso circuito.
Questa funzione può non essere operativa
in alcuni Paesi/regioni.
Funzione PTY-NEWS
La funzione consente di selezionare un pro-
gramma PTY che trasmette l’argomento
NEWS.
Se l’autoradio è sintonizzata in banda FM,
premere il tasto NEWS [10] per attivare
la funzione PTY NEWS. Sul display apparirà
la scritta “NEWS”.
La ricezione della stazione sintonizzata vie-
ne temporaneamente interrotta e viene fat-
ta ascoltare una stazione PTY NEWS. Se si
vuole ritornare alla stazione precedente,
premere nuovamente il tasto NEWS [10].

Potete regolare il volume delle stazioni
PTY-NEWS al livello desiderato con la pro-
cedura indicata al paragrafo seguente e per-
tanto il volume può variare attivando/di-
sattivando la funzione.
AVVERTENZE
Le trasmissioni PTY-NEWS non sono an-
cora disponibili in tutti i paesi. Nel modo di
stand-by TA le emittenti RDS TA hanno la
priorità su quelle PTY-NEWS.
I messaggi di emergenza interrompono tut-
ti i modi di operazione. Possono essere ri-
cevuti soltanto da emittenti RDS: appare sul
display la scritta “ALARM” ed il messaggio
può essere ascoltato.
Per cancellare le trasmissioni ALARM pre-
mere il tasto AF [7].
Preimpostazione livello
volume per funzioni TA,
emergenza (ALARM)
e PTY-NEWS
Potete regolare il volume delle funzioni TA,
ALARM, PTY-NEWS al livello desiderato.
Durante le trasmissioni TA, ALARM, PTY-
NEWS l’autoradio adatta automaticamen-
te il volume al livello scelto.L’impostazione preselezionata dalla fab-
brica è TA VOL 9.
Il volume rimane inalterato se, durante le
trasmissioni TA, ALARM, PTY-NEWS, è im-
postato ad un livello più alto, altrimenti si
porterà al livello regolato con la seguente
procedura:
1. Tenete premuto il tasto TA [9] per al-
meno 2 secondi. Se il volume non viene re-
golato entro i successivi 7 secondi, il display
ritornerà automaticamente al modo radio.
2. Per regolare il livello del volume, usa-
te i tasti su/giù [3].
3. Per uscire dalla procedura premere il ta-
sto TA [9].
FUNZIONAMENTO DELLA
CASSETTA
Inserimento della cassetta
Inserire la cassetta nell’apposito vano con
il nastro rivolto a destra. La riproduzione ini-
zia automaticamente.
In base al tipo di nastro utilizzato viene ef-
fettuata automaticamente la corretta equa-
lizzazione del lettore di cassette (es. per i
nastri al Cromo o Metal).Alla fine del nastro entra in azione il mec-
canismo di inversione automatica verso di
lettura che consente la riproduzione dell’al-
tro lato della cassetta.
Per cambiare lato della cassetta prima del-
la fine del nastro, premere il tasto PROG
[17].
Ascolto di una cassetta
già inserita
Premere il tasto di funzione FUNC [2] per
selezionare il modo cassetta. La riproduzio-
ne avrà inizio automaticamente.
Funzione Pause
Premere il tasto di riproduzione/pausa
[14] per arrestare temporaneamente la ri-
produzione. Premerlo nuovamente per con-
tinuare la riproduzione.
Espulsione delle cassette
Premendo il tasto di espulsione [5], la cas-
setta viene espulsa automaticamente.
L’unità commuta automaticamente nel
modo radio 4 secondi dopo aver premuto
il tasto di espulsione.

Avanzamento/riavvolgimento
rapido
Premere il tasto sinistro/destro [19].
H: premere questo tasto per far avanzare
velocemente il nastro;
G: premere questo tasto per riavvolgere
velocemente il nastro.
Durante l’avanzamento/riavvolgimento
rapido del nastro viene fatta ascoltare la ra-
dio.
Ricerca brano precedente/
successivo (funzione auto
program control)
Premere il tasto sinistro/destro [19] due
volte.
H: premere questo tasto due volte per
avanzare all’inizio del brano succes-
sivo;
G: premere questo tasto due volte per
tornare all’inizio del brano in fase di
riproduzione. Se si preme nuova-
mente il tasto, viene riprodotto il bra-
no precedente.
Durante la ricerca automatica viene fatta
ascoltare la radio.
Scansione (in avanti)
dei brani presenti su cassetta
Premere il tasto SCN [6] per riprodurre i
primi 10 secondi di ogni brano presente su
nastro. Sul display appare la scritta “SCAN”.
Per interrompere la scansione, premere nuo-
vamente il tasto SCN [6].
Ripetizione brano
Premere il tasto RPT [8] per riascoltare più
volte l’ultimo brano riprodotto. Sul display ap-
pare la scritta “RPT”. Per uscire da tale mo-
dalità, premere nuovamente il tasto RPT [8].
Funzione Dolby B
per la riduzione del rumore
Premere il tasto Dolby B NR [15] per at-
tivare la funzione. Sul display appare la scrit-
ta “B NR”. Premere nuovamente il tasto per
disattivare la funzione.
Salto dei tratti
di nastro vuoti
In presenza di uno spazio vuoto sul nastro
di durata uguale o superiore a 12 secondi,
questa funzione consente di passare auto-
maticamente all’inizio della successiva se-
zione registrata.Per attivare la funzione mantenete pre-
muto il tasto BLS [13] fin quando appare
sul display la scritta “BLS”. Premere nuo-
vamente il tasto per disattivare la funzione.
AVVERTENZE
In alcuni casi le seguenti funzioni possono
non essere attivate correttamente:
– ricerca brano precedente/successivo;
– scansione dei brani;
– ripetizione brano;
– salto dei tratti di nastro vuoti.
L’errata o mancata attivazione può essere
provocata dalle seguenti cause:
– nastri registrati a livelli bassi (es. con suo-
no molto debole e registrazione non per-
fetta);
– nastri con conversazioni;
– nastri con sezioni di nastro vuote di du-
rata inferiore a 12 secondi;
– nastri con lunghi periodi di silenzio in mez-
zo ai brani;
– nastri che non hanno sezioni di nastro
vuote (es. registrazioni dal vivo);
– nastri con molto rumore di fondo nelle se-
zioni di nastro vuote.

BALANCE ADJUSTMENT
G: Increase left speaker sound;
H: Increase right speaker sound.
FADER ADJUSTMENT
N: Increase front speaker sound;
O: Increase rear speaker sound.
LOUDNESS
Keep the loudness button (LOUD) [1]
pressed for longer than 2 seconds to acti-
vate/deactivate this function. The message
“LD” will appear on the display when the
function is on.
MUTE FUNCTION
This function will automatically turn the vol-
ume down to zero.
Press the MUTE [14]. The sound will dis-
appear and the message “MUTE” will ap-
pear on the display. Press the MUTE but-
ton again to turn the function off.OPERATION
MAIN OPERATIONS
IMPORTANTTurn the volume down be-
fore turning the sound system off. Sound
quality will be perfect and the sound system
will not be damaged when you turn it back
on.
Turning the sound system on
and adjusting the volume
1.Press the (POWER) button [2] to turn
the sound system on. Press the (POWER)
button for at least one second to turn the
sound system off.
2.Press the function button (FUNC) [2]
to select Radio, Tape and CD functions cycli-
cally as follows:
Radio ➞Tape ➞CD ➞ Radio.
The message “NO CASS” will appear if
there is no tape in the player.
The message “NO DISC” will appear if
there is no CD in the magazine or if the CD
player is not connected.3.Press the up/down buttons [3] to ad-
just the volume.
N: to turn volume up;
O: to turn volume down.
Audio adjustments
1. Press the audio mode (A-M) [1] to se-
lect the mode required. The mode changes
each time the (A-M) button is pressed as fol-
lows:
BASS/TREB (bass/treble) ➞BAL/FAD (bal-
ance/ader)➞previous mode.
2. Adjust bass and treble with the
left/right and the up/down buttons [19],
[3].
BASS ADJUSTMENT
G: Decrease bass;
H: Increase bass.
TREBLE ADJUSTMENT
N: Increase treble
O: Decrease treble

RADIO FUNCTIONS
Listening to the radio
1. Press the function button (FUNC) [2]
to select radio mode.
Press the BAND button [17] to select the
reception band FM (FM1, FM2, FM3) ot
AM (MW/LW). The band will change each
time the button is pressed as follows:
FM1 ➞FM2 ➞FM3 ➞AM ➞FM1
(FM band is split into three sections FM1,
FM2, FM3 with the same reception range
to allow the pre-setting of 18 fm stations).
2.Press the right or left button [19]. Tun-
ing will automatically stop at the frequen-
cy of a station (automatic tuning).
Automatic tuning
There are two types of automatic tuning:
distant (DX), tuning in to all the stations
which can be received, and local (LO), tun-
ing into the stations with the strongest sig-
nals only.
Distant automatic tuning (DX)
1. Press the BAND button [17] to select
the band.2.Press the right or left button [19].The
message “DX” will appear on the display.
Tuning will automatically stop at a station
frequency.
Local automatic tuning (LO)
1. Press the BAND button [17] to select
the band.
2.Press the right or left button [19] for
longer than 1 second. The message “LO”
will appear on the display. Tuning will au-
tomatically stop at a station frequency.
Manual tuning
1. Press the BAND button [17] to select
the band.
2.Press the BAND button [17] for longer
than 2 seconds.
3.The message “MAN” will appear on the
display and manual tuning is possible.
4. Press the left/right buttons [19] to
tune to the stations
The system will return automatically to au-
tomatic tuning after 7 seconds.
Manual station storage
24 stations (6 each in the FM1, FM2,
FM3, AM bands) can be stored as follows:
1. Press the BAND button [17] to select
the band.
2. Press the left/right buttons [19] to
tune to the station to be stored.
3. Press the pre-setting button [12]
where to store the station for 2 seconds or
more.
IMPORTANTWhen storing a station,
the station previously stored for that but-
ton will be deleted.
Automatic storage
1.Press the BAND button [17] to select
the band.
2.Press the AS button [10] for 2 seconds
or more. Strong signals will be automatically
stored in pre-set memory.
(If less than 6 strong stations are avail-
able, the previously stored stations will be
kept for the pre-set buttons where no new
stations can be stored).

Recalling pre-set stations
1. Press the BAND button [17] to select
the band.
2.Press the pre-set buttons [12] to se-
lect the required station.
RDS FUNCTIONS
RDS (Radio Data System)
The radio must be tuned to FM to access
the RDS functions.
The RDS system gives you automatic tun-
ing to the optimal frequency of the RDS-en-
abled stations being listened to (AF func-
tion). You can therefore continue to listen
to the station without having to alter the fre-
quency when you change the area. Obvi-
ously the station you are listening to must
be picked up in the area you are travelling
through.
If the signal is very weak and/or if the
reception is bad, the sound system will mute
for a few seconds while seeking an alter-
native frequency for the station. If this oc-
curs frequently, we recommend turning the
AF function off.If an RDS station can non longer be picked
up in your current position and the AF func-
tion is on, the message “AF” on the display
will flash. As soon as correct reception is re-
stored, “AF” will stop flashing.
The RDS will also display the name of the
station you are listening to (PS function).
Alternative frequency search
(AF function)
Press the AF button [7] to activate/de-
activate the function. When the function is
on, the message AF will appear (or flash)
on the display.
If reception worsens, the message “AF”
will start flashing and the device will attempt
to tune to an alternative frequency. If the
switch-over is not possible, the message
“SEARCH” will appear on the display and
the sound system will tune to the current
station before starting the search.
REG function
(regional programmes)
The REG function can only be used when
the AF function is on.
The REG function (regional programmes)
tunes to local (regional) stations only. Press
the AF button [7] for longer than 2 seconds
to turn the function on/off. The message
“REG” will appear on the display when the
function is on.
If you are listening to a regional station
and the function is off, the regional station
of the new area will be picked up as you
change area.
The REG function is not active when re-
ceiving a national station.
Manual tuning to regional
stations
This function is available only when re-
gional stations are received, with AF func-
tion on and REG, function off. Follow this
procedure:
1. Press one of the pre-set buttons [12]
to recall a regional station.
2.If the station reception is not optimal,
press the same pre-set button [12] and the
radio will tune to a regional station.

TA function
(traffic announcements)
With this function, you can:
– Automatically search only the FM-RDS
stations enabled to broadcast traffic an-
nouncements. The message “TP” will ap-
pear on the display when you are tuned to
one of these stations.
– Receive traffic announcements while you
are listening to a tape or CD.
To start the function, press the TA button
[9]. If the initial station is not enabled to pro-
vide traffic announcements (the message
“TP” will not appear on the display), the ra-
dio will automatically tune to the closest sta-
tion broadcasting traffic announcements and
the message “TA” will appear on the display.
IMPORTANT
If no RDS TA stations can be received, the
system will continue the search indetermi-

If, on the other hand, a station has been
found, the system will turn to TA stand-by
until the traffic announcement starts. In this
case, the message “TRA INFO” followed by
PS (Programme Service name) will appear
on the display.The playback of a CD or tape will be inter-
rupted to allow to listen to traffic announce-
ments broadcast by an RDS TA station.
Press the TA button [9] during traffic an-
nouncement broadcasting to stop listening
to the announcement and the system will
return to TA stand-by mode.
To memorise stations with the TP function
on, follow the storage procedure described
in the paragraph “Manual station storage”.
Alternatively to manual storage, press the
AS button [10] for 2 seconds or more to
automatically store the stations with the TP
function on (see “Automatic storage”).
To turn the function off, press the TA but-
ton [9] again.
EON function
(Enhanced Other Network)
Circuits grouping stations enabled to broad-
cast traffic announcements (NEWS) are
available in some countries.
In this case, the station programme en-
abled to broadcast traffic announcements you
are listening to will be temporarily interrupt-
ed whenever traffic announcements are
broadcast by other stations in the network.
This function may not be available is some
countries/regions.
PTY-NEWS function
This function tunes to a PTY programme
broadcasting NEWS.
Tune the sound system to FM band and
press the NEWS button [10] to turn the
function on. The message “NEWS” will ap-
pear on the display.
Reception of the tuned station will be tem-
porarily interrupted and a PTY NEWS station
will be played. Press the NEWS button [10]
again to return to the previous station.
You can adjust the PTY-NEWS station vol-
ume as required, according to the procedure
shown in the next paragraph. The volume,
consequently, can change when the func-
tion is turned on/off.
IMPORTANT
PTY-NEWS broadcasts are not available in
all countries. In TA stand-by, the RDS TA sta-
tions have priority over PTY-NEWS stations.
Emergency messages will interrupt all oth-
er operations. They can only be received
from RDS stations. The message “ALARM”
will appear on the display and the message
can be listened to.
To delete the “ALARM” broadcasts, press
the AF button [7].
