TRIP TIME
This is the actual trip time, given in
h, starting from the beginning of the
trip, excluding any breaks in the
journey. TRIP COMPUTER RESET
To reset the data, in order to start a
new trip monitored by the TRIP
COMPUTER, hold down the
MODE/TRIP button for more than 2
seconds.
All data except for Range and
Instantaneous Consumption will be
reset.
Inertia switch
This appears automatically when the
inertia switch intervenes, to inform
the driver that fuel supply has been
interrupted, by the FPS (Fire
Prevention System) due to a
potential fire risk.

Follow me home system
This appears automatically for 20
seconds when the follow me home
system is activated.
The display shows the requested
length of time for which the dipped
headlights stay on.

Automatic switching on of
display
When the vehicle is stopped and a
door is opened/closed, the display
will show the total milometer reader
and/or the clock for about 10
seconds.

Dusk sensor sensitivity
(auto lamp)
This function, only available for
certain versions/markets, allows
dusk sensor sensitivity to be
adjusted to 3 levels:
level 1 – minimum sensitivity
level 2 – medium sensitivity
level 3 – maximum sensitivity
The greater the sensitivity, the lesser
the light intensity required to
automatically switch on the dipped
headlights, side lights and number
plate light.
To adjust, proceed as follows:
– press the MODE button briefly:
the display will show the level set
previously;
– press the ▼or ▲button to make
the desired adjustment;
– press the MODE button briefly to
confirm;
– hold down the MODE button to
return to the standard display.Trip B
This function, present only on some
versions/markets where provided,
allows the display of Trip B (partial
trip) to be activated (ON) or
deactivated (OFF). For further
information, see TRIP COMPUTER
in this section.
To activate or deactivate the
function, proceed as follows:
– press the MODE button briefly:
ON or OFF (depending on the
previous setting) flashes on the
display;
– press the ▼or ▲button to
select;
– press the MODE button briefly to
confirm;
– hold down the MODE button to
return to the standard display.Set Clock
(time adjustment)
To adjust the time, proceed as
follows:
– press the MODE button briefly:
the hours flash on the display;
– press the ▼or ▲button to
adjust;
– press the MODE button briefly:
the minutes flash on the display;
– press the ▼or ▲button to
adjust;
– press the MODE button briefly to
confirm;
– hold down the MODE button to
return to the standard display.
Every time the ▼or ▲buttons are
pressed, the value is
decreased/increased by 1 unit
respectively When the buttons are
held down, the value decreases or
increases rapidly, as appropriate. It is
advisable to release the button as
you approach the desired value, then
complete the adjustment with single
presses.

E-LOCKER SYSTEM
(Front differential
locking)
(for versions/markets,
where provided)
The warning light switches on (on
some versions together with a
dedicated message on the display) as
follows:
– flashing when the system is
activated;
– flashing more rapidly to indicate
that the speed of the vehicle is
approaching 20 km/h;
– constantly if there is a fault with
the system.RIGHT DIRECTION
INDICATOR (green -
intermittent)
The warning light switches on when
the direction indicator control stalk
is moved upwards or, together with
the left indicator, when the hazard
warning light button is pressed.
LEFT DIRECTION
INDICATOR

The warning light switches on when
the direction indicator control stalk
is moved downwards or, together
with the right indicator, when the
hazard warning light button is

IMPORTANT With the air
distribution knob at -air also
comes out of the central and side
diffusers. To optimise demisting
/defrosting (also on side windows)
stop the air flow at the central
diffusers (specific control knob
turned down to
Op) and open the
side diffusers (specific control knob
turned up to
¥).
After demisting, operate the
controls to maintain optimum
visibility conditions.
EXTERIOR LIGHTS
The left stalk operates most of the
external lights.
The ignition key has to be at MAR
for the exterior lights to switch on.
The instrument panel and the
various dashboard controls will
switch on with the external lights.

Rear fog lights
Switch A: to activate these lights, the
dipped headlights and/or front fog
lights must be switched on. The rear
fog lights are deactivated when the
ignition key is turned to STOP.
If they are required when the vehicle
is next started, they must be
reactivated.
Fog lights
Switch B: to activate these lights, the
external lights must be switched on
(not the main beam headlights). The
front fog lights are deactivated when
the ignition key is turned to STOP.
If they are required when the vehicle
is next started, they must be
reactivated.Driving lights
Switch C. To activate these lights,
the mean beam headlights must be
switched on. The driving lights are
deactivated when the ignition key is
turned to STOP.
If they are required when the vehicle
is next started, they must be

If you wish to carry a
reserve of fuel in a can,
observe the legal restrictions
and only use a can that is type-
approved and properly secured
to the load anchorage
eyebolts. However, the risk of
fire in the event of a collision is
still increased.
WARNINGIMPORTANT
1) The flap can bear stable loads
(vehicle stationary) of up to 300
kg; using it to support greater
loads damages the hinges.
2) The load must be secured firmly
using cords and the appropriate
rings, to prevent it from sliding
lengthways, moving from side to
side or bouncing (see paragraph
“Loading advice” in the “Correct
use of the vehicle” section).
3) When transporting a heavy load
at night, you are advised to check
and adjust the beam of the dipped
headlights as appropriate.
Do not open the flap
completely when a tow
hook is fitted; it may be
damaged.
LOAD COMPARTMENT
COVER CANVAS
Some versions come with a canvas
to protect objects which are
transported in the load
compartment.
To wind it up:
– turn the mechanical stop
A-fig. 84 in the direction of the
arrow, releasing locking device B;
– open the closing devices
A-fig. 85 then loosen the straps B;
– release the straps from the
anchoring devices

HEADLIGHTS
LIGHT BEAM DIRECTION
The correct direction of the
headlights is essential for the
comfort and safety of the driver and
other road users. To ensure the
best visibility when travelling with
the headlights on, the vehicle’s
headlight alignment must be correct.
Contact a Fiat Dealership to have
the headlights checked and adjusted.
HEADLIGHT ALIGNMENT
CORRECTOR
This device operates with the
ignition key at MAR and the dipped
headlights on. The vehicle tilts
backwards when it is laden, raising
the beam. The beams must
therefore be realigned in this case.Headlight alignment

To adjust, depending on the version,
use the dedicated buttons on the
control panel to the left of the
steering wheel fig. 97.
The display on the instrument panel
provides a visual indication of the
adjustment position.
Position 0 - one or two people in
the front seats.
Position 1 - four people.

the rear compartment.
Position 3 - driver + maximum
permitted load, all
stowed in the rear load
compartment.

FUEL SAVING
Here are some useful tips to save
fuel and minimise harmful emissions
of CO
2and other pollutants (nitric
oxides, unburnt hydrocarbons,
particulate matter etc.).
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
The general factors that affect fuel
consumption are listed below.
Vehicle maintenance
Have checks and adjustments carried
out on the vehicle in accordance
with the “Scheduled Servicing Plan”.Tyres
Check the pressure of the tyres
routinely at an interval of no more
than 4 weeks: if the pressure is too
low, consumption levels increase as
resistance to rolling is higher.
Unnecessary loads
Do not travel with excess load.
The weight of the vehicle (especially
when driving in town), and its trim
greatly affect consumption and
stability.
Roof rack/ski rack
Remove the roof rack or the ski
rack from the roof after use.
These accessories reduce the
vehicle’s aerodynamic penetration
and have a negative effect on
consumption. When transporting
particularly large objects, use a
trailer if possible.Electrical devices
Use electrical devices only for the
amount of time necessary. The
additional headlights, windscreen
wipers and heater fan consume a
considerable amount of energy,
thereby increasing fuel consumption
(by up to 25% in the urban cycle).
Climate control
Climate control leads to higher fuel
consumption (on average by up to
20%): if the temperature outside
permits, try and use the ventilation
only.
Devices for aerodynamic
control
The use of non-certified devices for
aerodynamic control may adversely
affect air drag and consumption
levels.

IF AN EXTERIOR LIGHT

To replace the halogen bulbs of main
beam or dipped headlights, proceed
as follows:
Single-lens headlights
– disconnect connector A-fig. 120;
– remove rubber gaiter B-fig. 121;
– release fixing spring C-fig. 122
then remove bulb D;– insert the new bulb, aligning the
tabs of the metal part with the
grooves on the curve of the
headlight;
– reattach the fixing spring, refit the
gaiter and reconnect the
connector.Polyelliptical headlights

replace the dipped beam bulb or B
