Anti-lock Braking System WarningLamp
If it illuminates when you aredriving, this indicates amalfunction. You will continueto have normal braking (without anti-lockbraking system). Have the system checkedby an authorised dealer as soon aspossible.
Brake System Warning Lamp
It illuminates when you apply theparking brake or when the brakefluid level is low.
WARNING
Reduce your speed gradually andstop your vehicle as soon as it is safeto do so. Use your brakes with care.
If it illuminates when you are driving, checkthat the parking brake is not applied. If theparking brake is not applied, this indicatesa malfunction. Have the system checkedby an authorised dealer immediately.
Coolant Temperature WarningLamp
WARNING
Do not resume your journey if itilluminates despite the level beingcorrect. Have the system checked bya an authorised dealer immediately.
If it stays on after starting orilluminates when driving, thisindicates a malfunction. Stopyour vehicle as soon as it is safe to do soand switch the engine off. Check thecoolant level. See Engine Coolant Check(page 140).
Cruise Control Indicator
It will illuminate when you haveset a speed using the cruisecontrol system. See UsingCruise Control (page 109).
Direction Indicator
Flashes during operation. Asudden increase in the rate offlashing warns of a failedindicator bulb. See Changing a Bulb(page 143).
Door Ajar Warning Lamp
Illuminates when you switch theignition on and remains on if anydoor, the bonnet or the liftgateis not closed properly.

WARNINGS
Do not connect directly to thenegative (–) terminal of the flatbattery.
Make sure that the cables are clearof any moving parts and fuel deliverysystem parts.
To Start the Engine
1.Run the engine of vehicle B at amoderately high speed.
2.Start the engine of vehicle A.
3.Run both vehicles for a minimum ofthree minutes before disconnecting thecables.
WARNING
Do not switch on the headlampswhen disconnecting the cables. Thepeak voltage could blow the bulbs.
Disconnect the cables in the reverse order.

Note:When fitting the headlamp, makesure that you reconnect the electricalconnector correctly.
Note:When fitting the headlamp, makesure that you fully engage the headlamp inthe lower fixing point.
CHANGING A BULB
WARNINGS
Switch the lamps and the ignition off.
Let the bulb cool down beforeremoving it.
Do not touch the glass of the bulb.
Note:Only fit bulbs of the correctspecification.
Note:The following instructions describehow to remove the bulbs. Fit replacementsin the reverse order unless otherwise stated.
Headlamp
Note:Remove the covers to gain access tothe bulbs.

1.Remove the headlamp. SeeRemoving a Headlamp (page 142).
2.Turn the bulb holder anticlockwise andremove it.

Headlamp Main Beam
1.Remove the headlamp. SeeRemoving a Headlamp (page 142).
2.Remove the cover.
3.Disconnect the electrical connector.
4.Release the clip and remove the bulb.
Note:Do not touch the glass of the bulb.
Headlamp Dipped Beam
1.Remove the headlamp. SeeRemoving a Headlamp (page 142).
2.Remove the cover.
3.Turn the bulb holder anticlockwise andremove it.
4.Remove the bulb.
Note:Do not touch the glass of the bulb.
Side Lamp
1.Remove the headlamp. SeeRemoving a Headlamp (page 142).
2.Remove the cover.
3.Remove the bulb holder.
4.Remove the bulb.
Side Repeater

Approach Lamp
Note:Position the mirror glass as far inwardas possible.
1.Insert a screwdriver into the gapbetween the mirror housing and themirror glass and release the metalretaining clip.
2.Remove the lamp.
3.Remove the bulb.
Front Fog Lamps
Note:You cannot separate the fog lampbulb from the bulb holder.
1.Disconnect the electrical connector.
2.Turn the bulb holder anticlockwise andremove it.

Direction Indicator, Rear and BrakeLamp
1.Remove the trim panel.
2.Disconnect the electrical connector.
3.Remove the wing nut.
4.Remove the lamp.
5.Remove the bulb holder.
6.Gently press the bulb into the bulbholder, turn it anticlockwise andremove it.

Reversing Lamp and Fog Lamp
1.Open the liftgate.
2.Remove the trim panel.
