Autounlock
Autounlock unlocks all the doors when allof the following occur:
•The ignition is on, all the doors areclosed, and your vehicle has beenmoving at a speed greater than12.4 mph (20 km/h).
•Your vehicle comes to a stop and youswitch the ignition off or to theaccessory position.
•You open the driver door within 10minutes of switching the ignition off orto accessory.
Note:If you electronically lock your vehicleafter you switch the ignition off with thedriver door closed, the doors will notautounlock.
You can switch this feature on or off in theinformation display. See InformationDisplays (page 88).
Smart Unlock
This feature helps to prevent you fromlocking your key inside your vehicle’spassenger compartment or rear cargo area.When you electronically lock your vehiclewith any door open and the ignition is off,the system searches for a keyfob insideyour vehicle after you close the last door.
If the system finds a Intelligent Access key(if equipped) or there's a key in the ignitionswitch, all of the doors will immediatelyunlock and the horn will sound twice,indicating that a key is inside.
When you electronically lock your vehiclewith any door open and the ignition is inRUN, the vehicle will unlock all doors andsound the horn twice.
You can switch the horn feedback of thisfeature on or off in the information display.See Information Displays (page 88).
Illuminated Entry
The interior lamps and some exteriorlamps illuminate when you unlock thedoors with the remote control. Theilluminated entry system will turn off thelights if:
•The ignition is on.
•You press the remote control lockbutton.
After 25 seconds of illumination. The lightswill not turn off if:
•You turn them on with the lampcontrol.
•Any door is open. In this case, more ofthe interior lighting will illuminate andthe timer will reset.
Illuminated Exit
The interior lamps illuminate when alldoors are closed and you switch theignition off. The lamps will turn off if all thedoors remain closed and:
•25 seconds have elapsed.
•You switch ignition to RUN.
When any door is opened, the exteriorlamps will illuminate and remain on for 25seconds, along with the interior. Whenevera door is opened or closed, the timer willreset.

The image of the approaching vehicle issmall and near the inboard edge of themain mirror when it is at a distance. Theimage becomes larger and begins to moveoutboard across the main mirror as thevehicle approaches (A). The image willtransition from the main mirror and beginto appear in the blind spot mirror as thevehicle approaches (B). The vehicle willtransition to your peripheral field of viewas it leaves the blind spot mirror (C).
INTERIOR MIRROR
WARNING: Do not adjust themirrors when your vehicle is moving. Thiscould result in the loss of control of yourvehicle, serious personal injury or death.
Note:Do not clean the housing or glass ofany mirror with harsh abrasives, fuel or otherpetroleum or ammonia-based cleaningproducts.
You can adjust the interior mirror to yourpreference. Some mirrors also have asecond pivot point. This lets you move themirror head up or down and from side toside.
Pull the tab below the mirror toward youto reduce glare at night.
Auto-Dimming Mirror (If Equipped)
Note:Do not block the sensors on the frontand back of the mirror. Mirror performancemay be affected. A rear center passenger orraised rear center head restraint may alsoblock light from reaching the sensor.
The mirror will dim automatically to reduceglare when bright lights are detected frombehind your vehicle. It will automaticallyreturn to normal reflection when you selectreverse gear to make sure you have a clearview when backing up.
MOONROOF (IF EQUIPPED)
WARNING: Do not leave childrenunattended in your vehicle and do notlet them play with the moonroof. Failureto follow this instruction could result inpersonal injury.
WARNING: When closing themoonroof, verify that it is free ofobstruction and make sure that childrenand pets are not in the proximity of theroof opening.
The sunscreen can be manually opened orclosed when the glass panel is closed.
The moonroof control is located on theoverhead console.

Note:Recirculated air could turn off or beprevented from turning on in all air flowmodes except maximum cooling to reducethe risk of the windows fogging up. It couldalso turn on and off when you direct air tothe instrument panel or footwell air ventsduring hot weather to improve coolingefficiency.

Fold the armrest down to use the armrest.
HEATED SEATS (IF EQUIPPED)
WARNING: Use caution whenusing the heated seat if you are unableto feel pain to your skin because ofadvanced age, chronic illness, diabetes,spinal cord injury, medication, alcoholuse, exhaustion or other physicalconditions. The heated seat could causeburns even at low temperatures,especially if used for long periods of time.Failure to follow this instruction couldresult in personal injury.
WARNING: Do not place anythingon the seat that blocks the heat, forexample a seat cover or a cushion. Thiscould cause the seat to overheat. Failureto follow this instruction could result inpersonal injury.
WARNING: Do not poke sharpobjects into the seat cushion or seatbackrest. This could damage the heatedseat element and cause it to overheat.Failure to follow this instruction couldresult in personal injury.
Do not do the following:
•Place heavy objects on the seat.
•Operate the heated seat if water or anyother liquid is spilled on the seat. Allowthe seat to dry thoroughly.
•Operate the heated seats unless theengine is running. Doing so can causethe battery to lose charge.
Press the heated seat symbol to cyclethrough the various heat settings and off.Warmer settings are indicated by moreindicator lights.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The traction control system helps avoiddrive wheel spin and loss of traction.
If your vehicle begins to slide, the systemapplies the brakes to individual wheelsand, when needed, reduces engine powerat the same time. If the wheels spin whenaccelerating on slippery or loose surfaces,the system reduces engine power in orderto increase traction.
USING TRACTION CONTROL
In certain situations for example, stuck insnow or mud, turning the traction controloff may be beneficial as this allows thewheels to spin with full engine power.Depending on the type of system you haveon your vehicle, you can either turn thesystem off using the information displayor by pressing the button.
Switching the System Off Usingthe Information Display Controls
(If Equipped)
Your vehicle comes with this featurealready enabled. If required, you can switchthis feature off using the informationdisplay controls. See Principle ofOperation (page 150).
Switching the System Off Using aSwitch (If Equipped)
The button is located in the instrumentpanel.
Press the button. You will see a messagein conjunction with an illuminated icon inthe display. Press the button again toreturn the system to normal mode.
When you switch the traction controlsystem off, stability control remains fullyactive.
System Indicator Lights andMessages
WARNING: If a failure has beendetected within the AdvanceTracsystem, the stability control light willilluminate steadily. Verify that theAdvanceTrac system was not manuallydisabled through the information display.If the stability control light stillilluminates steadily, have the systemserviced by an authorized dealerimmediately. Operating your vehicle withAdvanceTrac disabled could lead to anincreased risk of loss of vehicle control,vehicle rollover, personal injury anddeath.
The stability control lighttemporarily illuminates onengine start-up and flasheswhen a driving condition activates thestability system.
The stability control off lighttemporarily illuminates onengine start-up and stays onwhen you turn the traction control systemoff.
When you turn the traction control systemoff or on, a message appears in theinformation display showing system status.

When the system activates, your vehicleremains stationary on a slope for a fewseconds after you release the brake pedal.This allows you time to move your footfrom the brake to the accelerator pedal.The brakes release when the engine hasdeveloped sufficient torque to prevent yourvehicle from rolling down the slope. Thisis an advantage when pulling away on aslope, for example from a car park ramp,traffic lights or when reversing uphill intoa parking space.
The system activates on any slope thatcauses your vehicle to roll.
Note:There is no warning lamp to indicatethe system is either on or off.
Using Hill Start Assist
1.Press the brake pedal to bring yourvehicle to a complete standstill. Keepthe brake pedal pressed and shift intofirst gear when facing uphill or reverse(R) when facing downhill.
2.The system activates if the sensorsdetect that your vehicle is on a slope.
3.When you remove your foot from thebrake pedal, your vehicle remains onthe slope without rolling away for a fewseconds. This hold time increases if youare in the process of driving off.
4.Pull away in the normal manner.
Switching the System On and Off
Vehicles with Manual Transmission
You can switch this feature on or off in theinformation display. The systemremembers the last setting when you startyour vehicle.
Vehicles with Automatic Transmission
The system turns on when you switch theignition on and you cannot switch thesystem off.

Selectable settings for this feature are ONand OFF. The default setting for the rearcamera delay is OFF.
Enhanced Park Aids
Note:The reverse sensing system is noteffective at speeds above 6 mph (10 km/h)and may not detect certain angular ormoving objects.
When the sensing system detects anobject, it displays red, yellow and greenhighlights at the top of the image. The alerthighlights all objects detected.
Selectable settings for this feature are ONand OFF.
