OIL LIFE
Displays the remaining oil life. An oilchange is required whenever indicated bythe information display and according tothe recommended maintenance schedule.USE ONLY RECOMMENDED ENGINE OILS.
To reset the oil monitoring system to 100%after each oil change, perform thefollowing:
1. Press and release the SETUP buttonto display OIL LIFE XXX% HOLD RESET= NEW.
2. Press and hold the RESET button fortwo seconds and release to reset theoil life to 100%.
Note:To change oil life 100% value (ifequipped with this feature) to another value,proceed to Step 3.
3. Once OIL LIFE SET TO XXX% isdisplayed, release and press the RESETbutton to change the Oil Life StartValue. Each release and press willreduce the value by 10%.

This feature keeps your headlights on forup to three minutes after the ignition isswitched off.

Change Active Trailer
When this is highlighted, press the rightarrow key to change the currently selectedtrailer. Use the up and down arrows toselect a trailer and press the OK button tochoose the highlighted trailer.
Adding a new trailer
Use the up/down arrows to highlight NewTrailer and press the right arrow key toenter the New Trailer input screen. Use theup/down arrow keys to choose alpha,numeric and symbol characters and thenpress the right arrow to move the characterspace over. Continue adding characters asneeded. Press the left arrow to go backand change a previously selectedcharacter. When finished with the newtrailer name, press OK to accept the newtrailer name.

Delete Trailer

To operate the heated seats, touch theheated seat symbol on the touchscreen tocycle through the various heat settings andoff. Warmer settings are indicated by moreindicator lights.
Rear Heated Seats (If Equipped)
WARNING
Persons who are unable to feel painto the skin because of advanced age,chronic illness, diabetes, spinal cordinjury, medication, alcohol use, exhaustion,or other physical conditions, must exercisecare when using the seat heater. The seatheater may cause burns even at lowtemperatures, especially if used for longperiods of time. Do not place anything onthe seat that insulates against heat, suchas a blanket or cushion, because this maycause the seat heater to overheat. Do notpuncture the seat with pins, needles, orother pointed objects because this maydamage the heating element which maycause the seat heater to overheat. Anoverheated seat may cause seriouspersonal injury.
Note:Do not do the following:
•Place heavy objects on the seat.
•Operate the seat heater if water or anyother liquid is spilled on the seat. Allowthe seat to dry thoroughly.
The rear seat heat controls are located onthe rear door armrest.
To operate the heated seats:
•Push the indicated side of the controlfor maximum heat.
•Push again to deactivate.
•Push the indicated side of the controlfor minimum heat.
•Push again to deactivate.
The heated seat module resets at everyignition run cycle. While the ignition is inthe on position, activate the high or lowheated seat switch to enable heatingmode. When activated, they will turn offautomatically when the engine is turnedoff.
The indicator light will illuminate when theheated seats have been activated.

CAR2U® Home AutomationSystem (If Equipped)
WARNINGS
Make sure that the garage door andsecurity device are free fromobstruction when you areprogramming. Do not program the systemwith the vehicle in the garage.
WARNINGS
Do not use the system with anygarage door opener that does nothave the safety stop and reversefeature as required by U.S. Federal SafetyStandards (this includes any garage dooropener manufactured before April 1, 1982).
Note:Before you begin the programmingprocess, park your vehicle in front of thegarage door opener motor or other deviceyou want to program.
Note:Make sure you keep the originalremote control transmitter for use in othervehicles as well as for future systemprogramming.
Note:We recommend that, upon the saleor lease termination of your vehicle, youerase the programmed function buttons forsecurity reasons. See Erasing the FunctionButton Codes later in this section.
Note:Programming the system to acommunity gate will require a unique set ofinstructions depending on the gate systemmodel. Contact the help line at1-866-572-2728 for further information.
Note:If you accidently enter the programmode by pressing and releasing the outertwo buttons or all three buttonssimultaneously, do not press any buttonuntil the module times out after a fewseconds and resets to normal mode. Whenthe module has timed out, all three LEDlamps will flash rapidly for a few secondsthen turn off. Any settings should remain aspreviously set.
The universal garage door opener replacesthe common hand-held garage dooropener with a three-button transmitter,integrated into the driver’s sun visor.

WARNINGS
Keep sparks, flames and smokingmaterials away from fuel.
Stay outside your vehicle and do notleave the fuel pump unattendedwhen refueling your vehicle. This isagainst the law in some places.
Keep children away from the fuelpump; never let children pump fuel.
Do not use personal electronicdevices while refueling.
Use the following guidelines to avoidelectrostatic charge build-up when fillingan ungrounded fuel container:
•Place approved fuel container on theground.
•Do not fill a fuel container while it is inthe vehicle (including the cargo area).
•Keep the fuel pump nozzle in contactwith the fuel container while filling.
•Do not use a device that would holdthe fuel pump handle in the fill position.
Fuel Filler Cap
WARNINGS
The fuel system may be underpressure. If you hear a hissing soundnear the fuel filler door, do not refueluntil the sound stops. Otherwise, fuel mayspray out, which could cause seriouspersonal injury.
If you do not use the proper fuel fillercap, excessive pressure or vacuumin the fuel tank may damage the fuelsystem or cause the fuel cap to disengagein a collision, which may result in possiblepersonal injury.
Note:If you must replace the fuel filler cap,replace it with a fuel filler cap that isdesigned for your vehicle. The customerwarranty may be void for any damage to thefuel tank or fuel system if the correctgenuine Ford, Motorcraft® or other certifiedfuel filler cap is not used.
Your fuel tank filler cap has an indexeddesign with a 1/4th turn on and off feature.When fueling your vehicle:
1. Put the vehicle in P (Park).
2. Turn the engine off.
3. Carefully turn the filler capcounterclockwise until it spins off.
4. Pull to remove the cap from the fuelfiller pipe.
5.To install the cap, align the tabs on thecap with the notches on the filler pipe.
6. Turn the filler cap clockwise 1/4 of aturn clockwise until it clicks at leastonce.
If the Check Fuel Cap light or a Check FuelCap message appears in the instrumentcluster and stays on after you start theengine, the fuel filler cap may not beproperly installed.
If the fuel cap light remains on, at the nextopportunity, safely pull off of the road,remove the fuel filler cap, align the capproperly and reinstall it. The check fuel caplight or Check fuel cap message may notreset immediately; it may take severaldriving cycles for the indicators to turn off.A driving cycle consists of an enginestart-up (after four or more hours with theengine off) followed by normal city andhighway driving.

Fixed guidelines are always shown in thedisplay, but the active guidelines onlydisplay when the steering wheel is turned.To use active guidelines, turn the steeringwheel to point the guidelines toward anintended path. If the steering wheelposition is changed while reversing, thevehicle might deviate from the originalintended path.
The active guidelines fade in and outdepending on the steering wheel position.The active guidelines are not shown whenthe steering wheel position is straight.
Always use caution while reversing.Objects in the red zone are closest to yourvehicle and objects in the green zone arefarther away. Objects are getting closer toyour vehicle as they move from the greenzone to the yellow or red zones. Use theside view mirrors and rear view mirror toget better coverage on both sides and rearof your vehicle.
Enhanced Park Aids
Note:Enhanced park aids is only availablewhen the transmission is in reverse (R).
Note:The reverse sensing system is noteffective at speeds above 3 mph (5 km/h)and may not detect certain angular ormoving objects.
The system uses red, yellow and greenhighlights which appear on top of the videoimage when an object is detected by thereverse sensing system. The alert highlightsthe closest object detected. The reversesensing alert can be disabled and if visualpark aid alert is enabled, highlighted areasare still displayed.
Selectable settings for this feature are ONand OFF.
Manual Zoom
WARNING
When manual zoom is on, the fullarea behind your vehicle is notshown. Be aware of yoursurroundings when using the manual zoomfeature.
Note:Manual zoom is only available whenthe transmission is in reverse (R).
Note:When manual zoom is enabled, onlythe centerline is shown.
This feature allows you to get a closer viewof an object behind your vehicle (forexample, a trailer). The zoomed imagekeeps the bumper in the image to providea reference. The zoom is only active whilethe transmission is in reverse (R). Whenthe transmission is shifted out of reverse(R), the feature automatically turns offand must be reset when it is used again.
Selectable settings for this feature is OFF,Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. The selectedlevel will appear between the buttons (forexample, Level 1) The default setting forthe manual zoom is OFF.
Rear Camera Delay
When shifting the transmission out ofreverse (R) and into any gear other thanpark (P), the camera image remains in thedisplay until your vehicle speed reaches 5mph (8 km/h). This occurs when the rearcamera delay feature is on or until a radiobutton is selected.
Selectable settings for this feature are ONand OFF. The default setting for the rearcamera delay is ON.
