The jack, wheel brace, extensions and jackhandle are in the cab.
Your jack does not require maintenance oradditional lubrication over the service lifeof your vehicle.
Do not use the jack if it is visibly damagedor does not operate freely. Replace thedamaged jack with a jack specified for useon your vehicle if you detect theseconditions.

SuperCab
1.Pull the release strap on the left-handside rear seat.
2.Remove the rear seat.
3.Carefully remove the cover.
4.Remove the bolt.
5.Lift the jack from the foam block andremove the jack from your vehicle.
6.Remove the tools.
Note:Pay close attention to the orientationof the jack and tool kit bag, because youneed to reinstall them after changing thetire.

1.Lift the release strap.
2.Lower the seat backrest.
3.Remove the bolt.
4.Lift the jack from the foam block andremove the jack from your vehicle.
Note:The jack and tools are storedseparately.
Note:Pay close attention to the orientationof the jack and tool kit bag, because youneed to reinstall them after changing thetire.
SuperCrew
1.Pull the release strap out.
2.Fully lift the seat cushion up into thelocked position.
3.Loosen the D-ring straps to form aloop.
4.Remove the tools.
Spare Wheel
1.Assemble the handle.

2.Insert the jack handle into the guidehole. Turn counterclockwise until thewheel rests on the ground, and there isslack in the cable.
3.Pass the bracket and cable through thewheel opening.
Note:If the spare wheel is not the sametype and size as your vehicle road wheel,drive the shortest distance possible.
Note:Do not fit more than one spare wheelon your vehicle at any one time.
Note:The spare wheel has a label showingthe maximum driving speed. Drive withcaution and at no more than the permittedmaximum speed.
Note:The usage of a dissimilar spare wheelor tire at any one wheel location can leadto impairment of the handling, stability andbraking performance, comfort and noise.
Note:When driving with a spare tire, do notswitch on four-wheel drive mode unless youneed to get your vehicle unstuck.
Note:The spare wheel is underneath therear of the vehicle.
Note:Only two extensions are used tolower the rear wheel.
Jacking and Lifting Points
WARNING: Use only the specifiedjacking points. If you use other locations,you could damage the body, steering,suspension, engine, braking system orthe fuel lines.

Note:Only use the jack on the specifiedfront jacking points.

Removing a Road Wheel
WARNING: Park your vehicle insuch a position that neither the trafficnor you are hindered or endangered.
WARNING: Make sure that thewheels are pointing straight ahead.
WARNING: If your vehicle has amanual transmission, shift into first orreverse gear. If your vehicle has anautomatic transmission, shift into park(P).
WARNING: Secure the diagonallyopposite wheel with an appropriateblock or wheel chock.
WARNING: Make sure that thevehicle jack is vertical to the jacking pointand the base is flat on the ground.
WARNING: Never place anythingbetween the vehicle jack and yourvehicle.
1.Assemble the jack handle.
2.Ensure screwthread on the jack isadequately lubricated before use.
3.Loosen the wheel nuts.
4.Raise your vehicle until the tire is clearof the ground.
5.Remove the wheel nuts and the roadwheel.
Note:Assemble the three handles to jackthe rear of the vehicle.
Note:Do not lay alloy road wheels facedown on the ground.
Installing a Road Wheel
WARNING: Use only approvedwheel and tire sizes. Using other sizescould damage your vehicle.
WARNING: Do not fit run flat tireson vehicles that were not originally fittedwith them. See an authorized dealer formore details about compatibility.
WARNING: Make sure there is nogrease or oil on the threads or thesurface between the wheel lugs andnuts. This can cause the lug nuts toloosen while driving.
WARNING: Have the lug nutschecked for tightness and the tirepressure checked as soon as possible.
1.Install the wheel.

2.Install the wheel nuts finger tight.
3.Install the locking wheel nut key.
4.Partially tighten the wheel nuts in thesequence shown.
5.Lower the vehicle and remove the jack.
6.Fully tighten the wheel nuts in thesequence shown. See TechnicalSpecifications (page 324).
7.Make sure that the projection of thecap is positioned on the same positionas the projection of the hub.
Note:Make sure the wheel and hub contactsurfaces are free from foreign matter.
Note:Make sure that the cones on thewheel nuts are against the wheel.
Note:If the spare wheel is different in sizeor construction to the road wheels, replaceit as soon as possible.
Stowing the Flat Tire
1.Place the wheel flat on the ground,with the outer face of the wheel facingup.
2.Tilt the bracket, and pass it through thecenter of the wheel.
3.Fully insert the jack handle into theguide hole and turn the jack handleclockwise until the tire raises to itsstowed position underneath yourvehicle and is securely seated. Thespare tire carrier tightening torqueshould be 29.50 lb.ft (40 Nm) +/-4.43 lb.ft (6 Nm).
4.Stow the wheel brace, jack, and jackhandle away.
Note:Do not use impact tools or powertools on the spare tire carrier, as this couldcause a winch malfunction and prevent asecure fit.
Stowing the Vehicle Jack and ToolKit - SuperCab
1.Before bringing the jack back into thevehicle, rotate the lead screw of thejack counterclockwise to collapse thejack height. Do not fully tighten.
2.Install the tool kit in the bin.
3.Place the jack on the foam block andpull the top of the jack up, to align thejack load rest hole with the hole of thefloor bracket.
4.Insert the wing bolt and tighten thewing bolt by hand.
5.Install the cover.

Stowing the Vehicle Jack -SuperCrew
1.Before bringing the jack back into the
vehicle, rotate the lead screw of thejack counterclockwise to collapse thejack height. Make sure the jack is notfully closed.
2.Place the jack on the foam block andpull the top of the jack up, to align thejack load rest hole with the hole of thefloor bracket.
3.Insert the wing bolt and tighten thewing bolt by hand.
Stowing the Tool Kit - SuperCrew
1.Place the tools inside the tool bag.
2.Install the tool bag on the plastic binby passing them through the D-ringstraps and placing them as shown inthe image.
3.Pull the straps forward to tighten.

Wheel Lug Nut Torque Specifications
WARNING: When you install a wheel, always remove any corrosion, dirt or foreignmaterials present on the mounting surfaces of the wheel or the surface of the wheelhub, brake drum or brake disc that contacts the wheel. Make sure to secure any fastenersthat attach the rotor to the hub so they do not interfere with the mounting surfaces ofthe wheel. Installing wheels without correct metal-to-metal contact at the wheelmounting surfaces can cause the wheel nuts to loosen and the wheel to come off whileyour vehicle is in motion, resulting in loss of vehicle control, personal injury or death.

1 Torque specifications are for nut and bolt threads free of dirt and rust. Use only ourrecommended replacement fasteners.
Retighten the lug nuts to the specified torque within 100 miles (160 kilometers) after anywheel disturbance, such as tire rotation, changing a flat tire or wheel removal.

Check Every Month
Engine oil level.
Function of all interior and exterior lights.
Tires (including spare) for wear and proper pressure.
Windshield washer fluid level.
Fuel and water separator. Drain if necessary (or if indicated by the information display).
Holes and slots in the tail pipe to make sure they are functional and clear of debris.
Check Every Six Months
Battery connections. Clean if necessary.
Body and door drain holes for obstructions. Clean if necessary.
Cooling system fluid level and coolant strength.
Door weatherstrips for wear. Lubricate if necessary.
Hinges, latches and outside locks for proper operation. Lubricate if necessary.
Parking brake for proper operation.
Seatbelts and seat latches for wear and function.
Safety warning lamps (brake, ABS, airbag and seatbelt) for operation.
Washer spray and wiper operation. Clean or replace blades as necessary.
Multi-Point Inspection
