Dismantling
1It is best to mount the engine on a
dismantling stand, but if this is not available,
stand the engine on a strong bench at a
comfortable working height. Failing this,

nuts, and recover the earth tag and the
coolant hose clip.
5Unscrew the two securing bolts and
withdraw the timing cover (see illustration).
6Refit the crankshaf

tensioner and coolant pump, locate the timing
belt backplate over the studs, then fit the
