AVOID AREAS
You can search avoiding all roads
(even freeways) within specified
avoid areas. If any road within an
avoid area is used for the route, an
icon will be displayed on the screen
for route selection. A maximum of
five areas can be stored as Avoid
Areas. They are represented on the
map as colored squares. If a road is specified as an avoid area, it is
represented by a different color to other roads.
VIEW/EDIT:After entries are programmed, they are shown in a list.
Highlight your selection to change/edit the following attributes:
•NAME:Select to enter a different name for the area.
•LOCATION:A map with the selected location will appear on the
screen. You can then:
REDUCE AREA
SAVE AREA
EXPAND AREA
•RETURN:Saves changes to the selected area.
ADD:Add an avoid area by selecting an input method and entering the
required information:
•PREVIOUS DEST
•POI
•ADDRESS
•INTERSECTION
•MAP
•FREEWAY ENTRANCE/EXIT
•PHONE NUMBER
•CANCEL
DELETE:Press to delete the selected entry.
DELETE ALL:Press to delete all entries in the Avoid Area list.

2. Select the PHONE BOOK tab to
access the phone numbers of the
contacts downloaded from your
Bluetoothenabled cellular phone.
Note:SYNC will categorize your
contacts alphabetically in the Quick
Sort buttons on the right of the
screen. The buttons will be
highlighted if there are contacts stored in that category. Press the
highlighted category to access those listings.
For your safety, while you are driving, SYNC limits the number of
viewable contacts. However, all contacts are always available through
voice commands.
Note:If supported by your phone, SYNC will assign location icons for
the numbers (i.e., cellular number, home number).
USING YOUR CALL HISTORY
If yourBluetoothenabled cellular phone supports phone book/call
history downloads viaBluetooth,SYNC will provide these numbers
sorted in the CALL HISTORY tab. If yourBluetoothenabled cellular
phone does NOT support phone book/call history downloads via
Bluetooth,then SYNC will log all calls made through SYNC in the CALL
HISTORY tab.
1. Press PHONE on the navigation bezel.
2. Select the CALL HISTORY tab
which allows you to have quick
access to recent call activity.
Press OUTGOING to view your outgoing calls.
Press INCOMING to view your incoming calls.
Press MISSED to view your missed calls.

Select from:
Play All:Choose to play all supported media content on your playing
device alphabetically.
Artists:In the Artists screen, you
can select to play All Artists, or you
can select any available artist. Press
the cursor controls

///) to highlight the
desired choice and press ENTER.
Albums:The Albums screen lists all loaded albums alphabetically. Press
the cursor controls (
///) to highlight the desired choice
and press ENTER.
Genres:The Genre screen lists all available genres. Press the cursor
controls (
///) to highlight the desired choice and press
ENTER.
Playlists:The Playlist screen allows you to view and select from any
previously saved playlists on your playing device. Press the cursor
controls (
///) to highlight the desired choice and press
ENTER.
Tracks:The Track screen lists all tracks in your playing device
alphabetically. Use the scroll bar to advance/reverse in the list. Select to
begin play.
Explore USB :The Explore USB screen allows you to scroll through all
supported media content stored on your device. Press the cursor
controls (
///) to highlight the desired choice and press
ENTER.
