Engine Coolant TemperatureGauge
This gauge indicates the tempera-
ture of the engine coolant when the
engine is running.
Fuel Gauge
This gauge indicates the approxi-
mate amount of fuel remaining in the
fuel tank.ODH043056
If the gauge pointer moves
beyond the normal range area
toward the "H" position, it indi-
cates overheating that may
damage the engine.
Do not continue driving with an
overheated engine. If your vehi-
cle overheats, refer to "If the
Engine Overheats" in chapter 6.
CAUTION
Never remove the radiator cap
when the engine is hot. The
engine coolant is under pres-
sure and could severely burn.
Wait until the engine is cool
before adding coolant to the
reservoir.

✽NOTICE
• The fuel tank capacity is given in
chapter 8.
• The fuel gauge is supplemented by a low fuel warning light, which
will illuminate when the fuel tank
is nearly empty.
• On inclines or curves, the fuel gauge pointer may fluctuate or the
low fuel warning light may come
on earlier than usual due to the
movement of fuel in the tank.
Odometer
The odometer indicates the total dis-
tance that the vehicle has been driv-
en and should be used to determine
when periodic maintenance should
be performed.
- Odometer range : 0 ~ 999999 miles
or kilometers.
Avoid driving with an extremely
low fuel level. Running out of
fuel could cause the engine to
misfire, damaging the catalytic
converter.
CAUTION
Running out of fuel can expose
vehicle occupants to danger.
You must stop and obtain addi-
tional fuel as soon as possible
after the warning light comes
on or when the gauge indicator
comes close to the "E (Empty)"
level.

Information Mode
Tire pressure information
This mode informs of tire pressure
information.
Service Interval
Service in
It calculates and displays when you
need a scheduled maintenance
service (mileage or days).
If the remaining mileage or time
reaches 900 miles (1,500 km) or 30
days, "Service in" message is dis-
played for several seconds each time
you set the Engine Start/Stop button
to the ON position.
For the setting of the service inter-
val, refer to "User Settings Mode"
of the LCD display.
Service required
If you do not have your vehicle serv-
iced according to the already
inputted service interval, "Service
required" message is displayed for
several seconds each time you set
the Engine Start/Stop button to the
ON position.
To reset the service interval to the
mileage and days you inputted before:

Door/Trunk
ItemsExplanation
Automatically Lock
The auto door lock operation will be deactivated.
Enable on Speed : All doors will be automatically locked when the vehicle speed exceeds 9.3mph(15km/h).
All doors will be automatically locked if the automatic transmission shift lever is shifted from the P (Park) position to the R (Reverse), N (Neutral), or D (Drive)
position.
Automatically Unlock
The auto door unlock operation will be canceled.
All doors will be automatically unlocked when the Engine Start/Stop button is set tothe OFF position.
All doors will be automatically unlocked if the driver's door is unlocked.
All doors will be automatically unlocked if the automatic transmission shift lever is shifted to the P (Park) position.
Lock/Unlock SoundTo activate or deactivate the lock sound when locking doors.
Smart Trunk
To activate or deactivate the Smart Trunk system.
For more details, refer to "Smart Trunk" in this chapter.
Two Press Unlock
The two press unlock function will be deactivated. Therefore, all doors will unlock if the dooris unlocked.
The driver’s door will unlock if the door is unlocked. When the door is unlocked again within 4 seconds, all doors will unlock.

Seat/Steering

Seat Easy Access
The seat easy access function will be deactivated.

- When you turn off the engine, the driver’s seat will automatically move rearward short (Normal) orlong (Extended) for you to enter or exit the vehicle more comfortably.
- If you change the Engine Start/Stop button from OFF position to the ACC, ON, or START position, the driver’s seat will return to the original position.
For more details, refer to "Driver Position Memory System" in this chapter.
Steering Easy Access
The steering wheel will automatically move forward or rearward for the driver to enter or exit the vehicle comfortably.
The steering easy access function will be deactivated.
For more details, refer to "Driver Position Memory System" in this chapter.
Steering Position The steering position function will be deactivated.
The steering position function will be activated.
ItemsExplanation
Service Interval
On this mode, you can activate the service interval function with mileage (km or mi.) and period
(months).

Warning Messages
(if equipped)
Shift to "P" or "N" to start engine
This warning message illuminatesif you try to start the engine with
the shift lever not in the P (Park) or
N (Neutral) position.
✽ ✽ NOTICE
You can start the engine with the
shift lever in the N (Neutral) position.
But, for your safety, we recommend
that you start the engine with the
shift lever in the P (Park) position.
Shift to "P" position
This message illuminates if you try
to turn off the engine without the
shift lever in P (Park) position.
At this time, the Engine Start/Stop button turns to the ACC position (If
you press the Engine Start/Stop
button once more, it will turn to the
ON position).
Press START button again
This message illuminates if youcan not operate the Engine Start/
Stop button when there is a prob-
lem with the Engine Start/Stop but-
ton system.
It means that you could start the engine by pressing the Engine
Start/Stop button once more.
If this warning illuminates each time you press the Engine Start/
Stop button, have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized retailer
of Genesis Branded products.

Press brake pedal to start engine
This warning message illuminatesif the Engine Start/Stop button
changes to the ACC position twice
by pressing the button repeatedly
without depressing the brake pedal.
It means that you should depress the brake pedal to start the engine.
Press START button with smartkey
This warning message illuminates
if you press the Engine Start/Stop
button while the warning message
"Key not detected" is illuminating.
At this time, the immobilizer indica- tor light blinks.
Low Key Battery
This warning message illuminatesif the battery of the smart key is
discharged when the Engine Start/
Stop button changes to the OFF
position.

Key not detected
This warning message illuminatesif the smart key is not detected
when you press the Engine Start/
Stop button.
Key not in vehicle
This warning message illuminatesif the smart key is not in the vehicle
when you press the Engine Start/
Stop button.
It means that you should always have the smart key with you.
Align steering wheel
This warning message illuminatesif you start the engine when the
steering wheel is turned to more
than 90 degrees to the left or right.
It means that you should turn the steering wheel and make the angle
of the steering wheel be less than
30 degrees.

Door / Hood / Trunk Open
It means that any door, hood, ortrunk is open.
Sunroof Open
This warning message illuminatesif you turn off the engine when the
sunroof is open.
Window Open
This warning message illuminatesif you turn off the engine when any
window is open.

Before driving the vehicle, you
should confirm that the door/
hood/trunk is fully closed.
Also, check there is no door/
hood/trunk open warning light
or message displayed on the
instrument cluster.

Check BRAKE SWITCH fuse
This warning message illuminatesif the brake switch fuse is discon-
nected.
It means that you should replace the fuse with a new one. If that is
not possible, you can start the
engine by pressing the Engine
Start/Stop button for 10 seconds in
the ACC position.
Turn on "FUSE SWITCH"
This warning message illuminatesif the fuse switch under the steer-
ing wheel is OFF.
It means that you should turn the fuse switch on.
For more details, refer to "Fuses"
in chapter 7.
Low Tire Pressure
This warning message illuminates if the tire pressure is low with the
Engine Start/Stop button in ON
position.
For more details, refer to "Tire
Pressure Monitoring System
(TPMS)" in chapter 6.
