ORG3030066N
You can also adjust the rear seat
warmers from the front seats. With
the engine running, touch the seat
warmer icon on the climate control
system screen.
Air Ventilation Seats
The air ventilation seats are provided
to cool the front seats by blowing air
through small vent holes on the surface
of the seat cushions and seatbacks.
When the operation of the air ventilation
seat is not needed, keep the air
ventilation seats OFF.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to the air ventilation
seats:
• Never use a solvent such as paint
thinner, benzene, alcohol or gasoline
to clean the seats.
• Avoid spilling liquids on the surface
of the front seats and seatbacks;
this may cause the air vent holes
to become blocked and not work
properly.
• Do not place materials such as
plastic bags or newspapers under
the seats. They may block the air
intake causing the air vents to not
work properly.
• Do not change the seat covers. It may
damage the air ventilation seat.
• If the air vents do not operate, restart
the vehicle. If there is no change,
have your vehicle inspected by an
authorized retailer Genesis Branded

If your vehicle is equipped with a
sunroof, you can slide or tilt your sunroof
with the sunroof control switch located
on the overhead console.
ORG3050214N
The sunroof can only be opened, closed,
or tilted when the Engine Start/Stop
button is in the ON position.
The sunroof can be operated for
approximately 3 minutes after the Engine
Start/Stop button is in the ACC or OFF
position. However, if the front door is
opened, the sunroof cannot be operated
even within the 3 minute period.
Information
• In cold and wet climates, the sunroof
may not work properly due to freezing
conditions.
• After the vehicle is washed or in a
rainstorm, be sure to wipe off any
water that is on the sunroof before
operating it.
WARNING
• Never adjust the sunroof or sunshade
while driving. This could result in
loss of control and an accident that
may cause death, serious injury, or
property damage.
• Make sure heads, hands, arms or
any other body parts or objects are
out of the way before operating the
sunroof.
• Do not extend your head, arms or
body outside the sunroof while
driving, to avoid serious injury.
• Do not leave the engine running
and the key in your vehicle with
unsupervised children. Unattended
children could operate the sunroof,
which could result in serious injury.
• The sunroof is made of glass, subject
to break in case of an accident.
Passengers without the appropriate
protection (e.g. seat belt, CRS, etc.)
on may project out through the
broken glass and may be seriously
injured or even result in death.
• Do not sit on the top of the vehicle. It
may cause injury or vehicle damage.
NOTICE
• Do not continue to move the sunroof
control lever after the sunroof is fully
opened, closed, or tilted. Damage
to the motor or system components
could occur.
• Make sure the sunroof is closed fully
when leaving your vehicle.
If the sunroof is left open, rain or
snow may wet the interior of the
vehicle. Also, leaving the sunroof
open when the vehicle is unattended
may invite theft.

Automatic reverse
ODH043039
If the sunroof senses any obstacle while
it is closing automatically, it will reverse
direction then stop to allow the object to
be cleared.
The auto reverse function does not work
if a small obstacle is between the sliding
glass and the sunroof sash.
You should always check that all
passengers and objects are away from
the sunroof before closing it.
WARNING
Small objects that can get caught
between the sunroof glass and the front
glass channel may not be detected by
the automatic reverse system. In this
case, the sunroof glass will not detect
the object and reverse direction.
NOTICE
• Periodically remove any dirt that may
accumulate on the sunroof guide
rail or between the sunroof and roof
panel which can make a noise.
• Do not try to open the sunroof when
the temperature is below freezing
or when the sunroof is covered with
snow or ice, otherwise the motor
could be damaged. In cold and wet
climates, the sunroof may not work
properly.
Resetting the Sunroof
In some circumstances resetting the
sunroof operation may need to be
performed. Some instances where
resetting the sunroof may be required
include:
-When the 12V battery is either
disconnected or discharged
-When the sunroof fuse is replaced
-If the sunroof one-touch AUTO OPEN/
CLOSE operation is not functioning
properly
Sunroof resetting procedure:
1. It is recommended to perform the
reset procedure with the vehicle
engine running. Start the vehicle in
P (Park).
2. Make sure the sunshade and sunroof
is in the fully closed position. If the
sunshade and sunroof is open, push
the control lever forward until the
sunshade and sunroof is fully closed.
3. Release the control lever when the
sunshade and sunroof is fully closed.
4. Push the control lever forward about
10 seconds until the sunroof moves
slightly.
5. Release the control lever.

Windshield Washers
ORG3050066
In the OFF position, pull the lever gently
toward you to spray washer fluid on the
windshield and to run the wipers 1-3
cycles. The spray and wiper operation
will continue until you release the lever. If
the washer does not work, you may need
to add washer fluid to the washer fluid
reservoir.
Recirculating air when washer fluid
is used
When washer fluid is used, in order
to prevent the scent from entering
the cabin, recirculation mode and air
conditioning are automatically activated
depending on the outside temperature. If
you select fresh mode while the function
is operating, the function will resume
after a certain amount of time. It may not
work in some conditions such as cold
weather or engine OFF.
For more details, refer to “Climate
Control Additional Features” section in
this chapter.
WARNING
When the outside temperature is below
freezing, ALWAYS warm the windshield
using the defroster to help prevent
the washer fluid from freezing on the
windshield and obscuring your vision
which could result in an accident and
serious injury or death.
NOTICE
• To prevent possible damage to the
washer pump, do not operate the
washer when the fluid reservoir is
empty.
• To prevent possible damage to the
wipers or windshield, do not operate
the wipers when the windshield is
dry.
• To prevent damage to the wiper
arms and other components, do
not attempt to move the wipers
manually.
• To prevent possible damage to the
wipers and washer system, use anti-
freezing washer fluids in the winter
season or cold weather.
