Remote Keyless Entry
(if equipped)
SAFETY & SECURITY
The Remote
Keyless Entry (RKE)
transmitter includes
the following
functions:
(Remote
Vehicle Start)
(if equipped): This
feature can be used to start the engine
from outside the vehicle. (See Remote
Vehicle Start.)
(Lock):Press this button to lock all
the doors. RKE feedback (light flash
and/or horn chirp) can be programmed
using the DIC.
(Unlock):Press this button to unlock
the driver’s door. Press it again within
five seconds to unlock all remaining
doors. RKE feedback (light flash) can
be programmed using the DIC.
(Vehicle Locator/Panic Alarm):
Press this button to locate your vehicle.
The turn signal lamps will flash and the
horn will sound three times.
Press and hold the button to activate the
panic alarm. The turn signal lamps will
flash and the horn will sound for 30 sec-
onds. Press the button again or turn the
ignition to Run to cancel the alarm.

Content Theft-Deterrent System
(if equipped with RKE)
To arm the content theft-deterrent
alarm system, lock the doors using the
Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmit-
ter. The security light on the instrument
panel cluster will flash for approximately
30 seconds to indicate the alarm is acti-
vated. To disarm the system, unlock the
doors using the RKE transmitter.
The alarm system will not be armed or
disarmed if the doors are locked or
unlocked with a key or the manual
door lock.

Your vehicle may feature the OnStar
Safe & Sound Plan or the uplevel
OnStar Directions & Connections Plan,
with one year of OnStar service from the
date you purchased your new vehicle.
OnStar offers a variety of capabilities,
such as Remote Door Unlock, Automatic
Notification of Airbag Deployment, and
Hands-Free Calling. In addition, most
vehicles can get driving directions using
Turn-by-Turn Navigation or Destination
Download. OnStar Advisors can send a
planned route to your vehicle and, as
you approach a turn, instructions play
over your vehicle speakers or are
displayed on the navigation screen
(if equipped). Press the OnStar button to
ask an OnStar Advisor about the service
plan you have or to upgrade your plan.

Manual Operation
To operate the system manually, use the
following controls:(On/Off): Press this button to turn
the system on or off.
+ – (Temperature Control): Press the
driver and passenger + or – temperature
buttons to raise or lower the temperature
setting(s).
(Fan): Press the up or down arrow to
increase or decrease fan speed.
(Airflow Mode): Press the up or
down arrow to change the direction
of the airflow and to select the defog
mode.
PASS (Passenger Temperature
Control): Press this button to turn off
the passenger temperature setting.
(Air Conditioning): Press this but-
ton to turn the air conditioning system
on or off.
(Recirculation): Press this button
to circulate inside air through the vehi-
cle. This mode keeps outside air from
entering the vehicle.
(Outside Air): Press this button to
allow outside air to enter the vehicle.
(Defrost): Press this button to
direct most of the air to the windshield
and some air to the side window outlets.
(Rear Window Defogger): Press
this button to activate the rear window
defogger and the heated outside
rearview mirrors (if equipped). The
defogger and heated mirrors will shut
off automatically or can be turned off
by pressing the button again.

Audio System Features
(Non-Navigation Radios only)
ENTERTAINMENT
While most of the features on your radio
will look familiar, following are some that
may be new:
(Power/Volume): Press this knob to
turn the system on or off. Turn the knob
to adjust the volume.
(Information): Press this button to
switch the display between the radio sta-
tion frequency and the time. If equipped,
press this button to display additional
text information related to the current
FM-RDS or XM station, or MP3 song.
(Tune): Turn this knob to select radio
stations or, when a CD is playing, to
select a track or MP3 file.
Press the knob to adjust the tone
(bass/treble) or speakers (balance/fade).
BAND: Press this button to switch to
AM, FM, or XM (if equipped). With a CD
playing, press this button to switch to
the radio.
CD/AUX (if equipped): Press this button
to play a CD instead of the radio. Press
again and the system will automatically
search for an auxiliary input device such
as a portable audio player.

Multiple-Disc CD Player
(if equipped)
With the in-dash 6-disc CD player, you
cannot directly load a CD as in single-
play systems.
To load a CD(s):
• Press and release the LOAD
button. To load multiple CDs, press
and hold the LOAD button for
two seconds. Follow the display
prompts to load each CD.
To play a CD:
• Press the pushbutton below the
arrow label on the display to select
the desired CD number.
To eject a CD(s):
• Press the EJECT button once to
eject the CD that is currently playing.
To eject all CDs, press and hold the
EJECT button for two seconds.
If a CD is not removed after several sec-
onds, it will be pulled back into the play-
er automatically.

Note: CDs with any affixed labels may
jam in the CD player. Label a CD using a
permanent marker. If more than one CD
is inserted into the slot at a time, or if
scratched or damaged CDs are played,
the CD player could be damaged. When
using the CD player, use only CDs in
good condition without labels; load one
CD at a time; and keep the CD player
and the loading slot free of foreign
materials, liquids or debris.
Touch Screen Navigation
Entertainment System
(if equipped)
Your vehicle’s Navigation Entertainment
System provides you with detailed
maps of all major highways and roads
throughout the continental United States
and Canada. The system provides turn-
by-turn driving instructions for each
destination you enter and can help you
locate a variety of points of interest,
such as banks, airports and restaurants.
Additional navigation assistance is avail-
able with Destination Download from
OnStar and real-time XM NavTraffic
(if equipped).
Refer to your Navigation Entertainment
System Owner Manual for operating
instructions.

Folding the Rear Seat
(if equipped)
60/40 Split-Bench Seat
To fold either side of the split-bench
seat, pull up the seat cushion.
To unfold the seat, pull down the seat
cushion.
Cargo Management System
(if equipped)
The cargo management system is com-
posed of three rails located on the front
and sides of the truck bed. It includes
four adjustable cargo tie-downs that can
be placed on the upper and lower slides
of the rail.
To adjust a tie-down, pull out the locator
pin and move the tie-down to another
location. Make sure the locator pin lines
up with a locator hole on the rail. Once
the pin is inside the hole, the tie-down
will not move side to side.
The rails are notched at each end to
allow the tie-downs to be removed and
placed on another rail. To remove, pull
out the locator pin and slide the tie-down
to the end of the rail and pull back.
Trailer-Tow Mirrors (if equipped)
The trailer-tow mirrors can be extended
manually to provide better visibility when
towing a trailer. The lower portion of the
mirror has a convex (spotter) mirror that
also can be adjusted manually to pro-
vide a better viewing angle.

Rear Vision Camera (if equipped)
When the vehicle is shifted into
Reverse, a view of the area behind the
vehicle is displayed on the inside
rearview mirror or the navigation system
screen (if equipped).
The camera is located near the tailgate
handle. Clean the camera lens with
water and a soft cloth.

Full-Bench Seat
To fold up the full-bench seat, push
down on the front of the seat cushion
while pulling down on the release strap
located under the seat cushion. Pull up
the seat cushion until it latches with the
seatback.
To fold down the full bench seat, push
on the seat cushion and pull the release
strap. Pull down the seat cushion until it
latches in place.
