The Keyless Access System enables operation of the doors and liftgate without removing the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter (key fob) from your pocket or purse. The key fob must be within 3 feet of the door being unlocked or within 3 feet of the liftgate.
KEYLESS UNLOCKING
With the key fob within range:
Press the button on the driver’s door handle to unlock the driv-er’s door; press it again within 5 seconds to unlock all doors.
Press the button on any passenger door handle to unlock all doors.
Press the touchpad on the liftgate handle to open the liftgate.
KEYLESS LOCKING
With the ignition off, the key fob removed from the vehicle, and all doors closed:
Press the button on any door handle to lock all doors immediately.
If Passive Locking is turned on in the Settings menu, all doors will lock automatically after a short delay.
Note: To change the keyless locking and unlocking settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock, Start.
Lock
Press to lock all doors.
Unlock
Press to unlock the driver’s door. Press again to unlock all doors.
Power LiftgateF
Press twice to open or close the liftgate. Press once to stop power liftgate operation.
Vehicle Locator/Panic Alarm
Press and release to locate your vehicle. The exterior lamps will flash and the horn will sound 3 times.
Press and hold to activate the alarm. Press again to cancel the alarm.
Note: To change the remote settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock, Start.
Remote Vehicle StartF
Press and release the Lock button and then immediately press and hold the but-ton until the turn signal lamps flash to start the engine from outside the vehicle. After entering the vehicle, turn on the ignition.
• During a remote start, the engine will run for 15 minutes. Repeat these steps to run the engine for an additional 15 minutes. A remote start can be extended once.
• Press and hold the button until the parking lamps turn off to cancel a remote start.
Remote Start Auto Heated/Ventilated SeatsF
Select the Remote Start Auto Heat Seats or Remote Start Auto Cool Seats option in the Vehicle Settings to have the heated or ventilated seats turn on during a remote start. The seat button indicators do not illu-minate and the temperature performance of the unoccupied seats may be reduced during a remote start.

KEYLESS (PUSHBUTTON) START
AUTO ENGINE STOP/START OPERATION

The Remote Keyless Entry transmitter (key fob) must be in the vehicle to turn on the ignition.
STARTING THE ENGINE
With the vehicle in Park or Neutral, press the brake pedal and then press the E N G I N E S TA R T/ S T O P button to start the engine. The green indicator on the button will illuminate.
Note: If the key fob battery is weak, place the key fob in the driver-side cupholder in the center console to enable the engine to start. Replace the key fob battery as soon as possible.
STOPPING THE ENGINE/OFF
Shift to Park and press the E N G I N E S TA R T/ S T O P button to turn off the engine.
Power will be available for 10 minutes to operate the audio system until the driver’s door is opened and to operate the windows and sunroofF until any door is opened.
ACCESSORY MODE
With the engine off and the brake pedal NOT depressed, press the E N G I N E S TA R T/ S T O P
button to place the ignition system in the accessory mode. The amber indicator on the button will illuminate.

The fuel-saving stop/start system automatically turns off the engine, referred to as an Auto Stop, when the brake pedal is pressed and the vehicle is at a complete stop, if operating conditions are met. In Auto Stop mode, the tachometer will read AUTO STOP. When the brake pedal is released or the accelerator pedal is pressed, the engine will restart. After parking the vehicle and turning off the engine, the tachometer will read OFF.
The engine may remain running or restart when the vehicle is stopped if:
• A minimum vehicle speed is not reached.
• The engine or transmission is not at the required operating temperature.
• The outside temperature is not in the required operating range.
• The transmission is in any gear other than Drive (D).
• The battery charge is low.
• The climate control system requires the engine to run based on the current settings.
• The Auto Stop time has reached the maximum allowed time.

WIRELESS CHARGINGF
VEHICLE CUSTOMIZATION
The wireless charging pocket for charging smartphones is located in front of the center console armrest. To check smartphone com-patibility, visit my.gmc.com/how-to-suppor t See your phone retailer for required phone accessories or charging adapters.
1. The vehicle must be On, or Retained Accessory Power must be active.
2. Remove all objects from the charging pocket.
3. Place the smartphone facing rearward in the pocket.
4. The charging symbol will display on the infotainment screen when charging.

Some vehicle features can be turned on/off or customized using the Settings menus and the infotainment screen icons. The Settings menus include System, Apps, and Vehicle.
1. Select Settings on the Home screen.
2. Select the desired menu tab.
3. Select the desired feature and setting.
4. Press BACK to exit each menu.

4G LTE WI-FI® HOTSPOT
TEEN DRIVER
With the vehicle’s available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, up to 7 devices (smartphones, tablets and laptops) can be connected to high-speed internet. For more information on use and system limitations, visit my.gmc.com/ how-to-suppor t.
To retrieve the name and password for the hotspot, select the Wi-Fi Hotspot icon on the Home page or go to Settings > System > Wi-Fi Hotspot.

Teen Driver allows multiple keys to be registered for beginning drivers. When active, the system automatically activates certain safety systems, allows setting of some features, and limits the use of others. An in-vehicle Report Card records vehicle data about driving behav-ior. When the vehicle is started with a registered key, a Driver Information Center message displays that Teen Driver is active.
To create a Personal Identification Number, register a key, change Teen Driver settings, or access the Report Card, go to Settings > Vehicle tab > Teen Driver.

OPEN/CLOSE THE POWER LIFTGATE
Press the Power Liftgate button twice on the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter (key fob).
Press the Liftgate knob (A) on the driver’s door.
Press the touchpad (B) on the liftgate
handle to open the liftgate.
Press the button (C) next to the pull handle to close the liftgate.
PROGRAMMING THE LIFTGATE HEIGHT1. Turn the Liftgate knob to the 3/4 mode.
2. Open the liftgate. Adjust it manually to the desired height.
3. To save the setting, press and hold the
button (C) next to the pull handle until a beep sounds.
4. In the 3/4 mode position, the power liftgate will open to the programmed height.
HANDS-FREE OPERATIONF
To open or close the liftgate hands-free, kick your foot straight under the rear bumper, just left of the license plate. The key fob must be within 3 feet of the liftgate.

HILL DESCENT CONTROL
Hill Descent Control sets and maintains vehicle speed from 2–14 mph while descending a very steep incline in a forward or reverse gear.
Press the Hill Descent Control button on the center console. Vehicle speed must be below 31 mph to turn on the system.
Increase or decrease speed by applying the accelerator or brake pedal or use the Cruise Control +/– buttons on the steering wheel. The adjusted speed becomes the new set speed. The symbol flashes on the instrument cluster when the system is actively
applying the brakes to maintain vehicle speed.See Driving and Operating in your Owner’s Manual.
F Optional equipment
The Low Tire Pressure warning light on the instrument cluster illuminates when one or more of the vehicle’s tires is significantly underinflated. Fill the tires to the proper tire
pressures listed on the Tire and Loading Information label located below the driver’s door latch. Current tire pressures can be viewed on the Driver Information Center.
