Second Row Seats
The second row seatbacks can be
folded for additional cargo space,
or the seats can be folded and
tumbled for easy entry/exit to the
third row seats (if equipped). The
seatbacks also recline.

Third Row Seats
If equipped, third row seatbacks can
be folded.
To fold the third row seatback:
1. Make sure that there is nothing under, in front of, or on the seat.
2. Fully lower the head restraints. See Head Restraints on
page 3-2.3. Disconnect the rear safety belt
mini-latch using a key in the slot
on the mini-buckle, and let the
belt retract into the headliner.
4. Stow the mini-latch in the holder in the headliner.

Heated and Cooled Front
Seats
If equipped, the vehicle may have
heated or heated and cooled seats.

operate, the engine must be

Interior Mirror
Adjustment
Adjust the rearview mirror for a clear
view of the area behind the vehicle.
Manual Rearview Mirror
Push the tab forward for daytime
use and pull it rearward for
nighttime use to avoid glare of the
headlamps from behind.
Automatic Dimming Rearview
Mirror
If equipped, the mirror automatically
dims to reduce the glare of
headlamps from behind. The
dimming feature comes on when the
vehicle is started.

To adjust the mirrors:
1. Press (1) or (2) to select the driver or passenger side mirror.
2. Press the arrows on the control pad to move each mirror in the
desired direction.
3. Press either (1) or (2) again to deselect the mirror.

The outside mirrors can be folded
inward to prevent damage when
going through an automatic car
wash. To fold, pull the mirror toward
the vehicle. See

Power Folding Mirrors
To adjust power folding mirrors,

Mode can be used.
Grade Braking is not available when
Range Selection Mode is active.

Four-Wheel Drive
If the vehicle has four-wheel drive,
you can send the engine's driving
power to all four wheels for extra
traction.
Automatic Transfer Case
Two Speed Automatic
Transfer Case
Single Speed Automatic Transfer Case
The transfer case knob is to the left
of the steering wheel. Use this knob
to shift into and out of the different
four-wheel drive modes.

m: This setting is used for driving
in most street and highway
situations.
AUTO: This setting is ideal for use
when road surface traction
conditions are variable.

High position when extra traction is
needed, such as on snowy or icy
roads or in most off-road situations.

n: Vehicles with a two speed
automatic transfer case have a
Four-Wheel Drive Low position. This
setting sends maximum power to all
four wheels. You might choose 4
nif
you are driving off-road in deep
sand, mud, or snow, and while
climbing or descending steep hills.
N (Neutral): Vehicles with a two
speed automatic transfer case have
a N (Neutral) position. Shift the
transfer case to N (Neutral) only
when towing the vehicle. See

Infotainment System

It also includes information on
settings.
Steering Wheel Controls
The infotainment system can be
operated by using the steering
wheel controls. See "Steering
Wheel Controls" in the infotainment
manual.
Cruise Control
5: Press to turn the system on or
off. The indicator light is white when
cruise control is on and turns off
when cruise control is off.
SET −:Press briefly to set the
speed and activate cruise control.
If cruise control is already active,
use to decrease vehicle speed.
+RES: If there is a set speed in
memory, press to resume that
speed or press and hold to

2. Press and slide the battery downtoward the pocket of the
transmitter in the direction of the
key ring. Do not use a metal

3. Remove the battery.
4. Insert the new battery, positive side facing up. Replace with a
CR2032 or equivalent battery.
5. Push together the transmitter back cover top side first, and
then the bottom toward the
key ring.
Remote Keyless Entry
(RKE) System Operation
(Keyless)
The Keyless Access system allows
for vehicle entry when the
transmitter is within 1 m (3 ft). See
“Keyless Access Operation” later in
this section.
The RKE transmitter functions may
work up to 60 m (197 ft) away from
the vehicle.
Other conditions can affect the
performance of the transmitter. See
Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)
System on page 2-5.
With Remote Start (without
Remote Start Similar)
/(Remote Vehicle Start):
If equipped, press and release
Q,
then immediately press and hold
/
until the turn signal flash or for at
least four seconds. The engine may
be started from outside the vehicle
using the RKE transmitter. See
Remote Vehicle Start on page 2-15.
Q(Lock): Press to lock all doors.
If enabled through the Driver
Information Center (DIC), the turn
signal lamps flash once to indicate

2. Lift the battery with a flat object.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Insert the new battery, positiveside toward the back cover.
Replace with a CR2032 or
equivalent battery.
5. Push together the transmitter.
Remote Vehicle Start
If equipped with the remote start
feature, the climate control system
will come on when the vehicle is
started remotely depending on the
outside temperature. The rear defog and heated and
cooled seats, if equipped, may also
come on. See
Heated and Cooled
Front Seats on page 3-7 and
Vehicle Personalization on
page 5-44.
Laws in some communities may
restrict the use of remote starters.
Check local regulations for any
requirements on remote starting of
vehicles.
Do not use remote start if the
vehicle is low on fuel.
The vehicle cannot be remote
started if:
.The key is in the ignition (Key
Access) or the transmitter is in
the vehicle (Keyless Access).
.The hood is not closed.
.There is an emission control
system malfunction and the
malfunction indicator lamp is on. The engine will turn off during a
remote vehicle start if:
.The coolant temperature gets
too high.
.The oil pressure gets low.
The RKE transmitter range may be
reduced while the vehicle is running.
