Audio System Basic Operation
To use the audio system, the power mode must be in ACCESSORY or ON.Use the selector knob or MENU button to
access some au dio functions.
Press to switch between the normal and
extended display fo r some functions.
Selector knob: Rotate left or right to scroll
through the available choices. Press to set
your selection.
MENU button: Press to display the menu
screen.
(Back) button: Press to go back to the

Provides text data information related to your selected RDS-capable FM station.
■To find an RDS station from Station List
1. Press while listening to an FM station.
2. Select the station.
■Update List
Updates your available station list at any time.
1. Press while listening to an FM station.
2. Select Refresh .
■Radio text
Displays the radio text informat ion of the selected RDS station.
1. Select Text.
■Scan
Samples each of the strongest stations on the selected band for 10 seconds.
1. Select Scan.
To turn off scan, select Stop or press the button.

Stereo reproduction in AM is not available.
You can store 12 AM stations and 12 FM stations into
the preset memory.
To switch the audio mode, ro ll the left selector wheel.

1Radio Data System (RDS)
When you select an RDS-capable FM station, the RDS
automatically turns on, and the station name is
displayed under the frequency. However, when the
signals of that station become weak, the station
name disappears.

■To stop the engine
Press and hold the button for one
second.
If the engine stops successfully, the exterior
lights flash once.
When the keyless remote is out of the keyless
access system range, the exterior lights will
not flash.
The engine will not stop. u Go within the rang e, and try again.1Remote Engine Start
The engine may stop whil e it is running if:
•You do not start the vehicl e within 10 minutes of
starting the engine with the keyless remote.
•The engine is stopped by using the keyless remote.•The security system alarm is activated.
•The door is unlocked with the built-in key.
•The hood is open.•The trunk, or any door is unlocked without using
the keyless remote or keyless access system.
•You press the shift lever release button.•The engine coolant temper ature is extremely high.
•The engine oil pressure is low.
•The malfunction indicator la mp comes on if there is
a problem with the emissions control systems.
•The ENGINE START/STOP button is pressed while
a door has been opened without using the keyless
remote or keyless access system.
While the engine is running, the vehicle will
automatically preconditi on inside the vehicle.
When it is warm outside:
•The climate control system is activated in
recirculation mode.
When it is cold outside:
•The defroster is activated at a moderately warm
temperature.
•The rear defogger, he ated door mirrors*, and front
seat heaters* are activated.
