5. Remove the oil filter and dispose of the
remaining oil.
6. Check that the filter gasket is not stuck to
the engine contact surface.
u If it is stuck, you must detach it.
7. Wipe away dirt and dust adhering to the
contact surface of the engine block, and
install a new oil filter.
u Apply a light coat of new engine oil to
the oil filter gasket.
8. Put a new washer on the drain bolt, then
reinstall the drain bolt.
u Tightening torque:
29 lbf∙ft (39 N∙m, 4.0 kgf∙m)
9. Pour the recommended engine oil into the
engine.
u Engine oil change capacity (including
filter):
3.8 US qt (3.6 L)
10. Reinstall the engine oil fill cap securely and
start the engine.
11. Run the engine for a few minutes, and
then check that there is no leak from the
drain bolt or oil filter.
12. Stop the engine, wait for three minutes,
and then check the oil level on the
dipstick.
u If necessary, add more engine oil.1Changing the Engine Oil and Oil Filter
You will need a special wrench to replace the oil
filter. You can buy this wrench from a dealer.
When installing the new oil filter, follow the
instructions supplied with the oil filter.
Reinstall the engine oil fill cap. Start the engine. The
low oil pressure indicator should go off within five
seconds. If it does not, turn off the engine, and check
your work.

Replacing Light Bulbs
Headlight Bulbs
When replacing, use the following bulbs.1.Remove the cover.
2. Push the tab to remove the coupler.
3. Rotate the old bulb to the left to remove.
4. Insert a new bulb into the headlight
assembly and turn it to the right.
5. Insert the coupler into the connector of the
bulb.
High beam headlight:60 W (HB3 for halogen bulb type)
Low beam headlight:55 W (H11 for halogen bulb type)
35W (D4S for high voltage discharge)

NOTICE
Halogen bulbs get very hot when lit.
Oil, perspiration, or a scratch on the glass can cause
the bulb to overhe at and shatter.
The headlight aim is set by the factory, and does not
need to be adjusted. Howeve r, if you regularly carry
heavy items in the cargo area, have the aiming
readjusted at a dealer or by a qualified technician.
When replacing a halogen bu lb, handle it by its base,
and protect the glass from c ontact with your skin or
hard objects. If you touch the glass, clean it with
denatured alcohol and a clean cloth.
The exterior lights' inside lenses (headlights, brake
lights, etc.) may fog temporarily after a car wash or
while driving in the rain. This does not impact the
exterior light function.
However, if you see a larg e amount of water or ice
accumulated inside the le nses, have your vehicle
inspected by a dealer.

High voltage can remain in the circuit for a long period of time after the light is
switched off. Do not attempt to inspect or replace the high vo ltage discharge type
bulbs yourself. Ask a dealer to insp ect and replace low beam headlights.
1. Push the tab to remove the coupler.
2. Rotate the old bulb to the left to remove.
3. Insert a new bulb into the headlight
assembly and turn it to the right.
4. Insert the coupler into the connector of the
bulb.

Fog Light Bulbs*
When replacing, use the following bulbs.
1.Turn the steering wheel all the way to the
opposite side from the fog light being
replaced.
Passenger side: Turn the steering wheel
to the left.
Driver side: Turn the steering wheel to the
right.
2. Remove the clip and screws, and pull the
inner fender back.
Fog Lights: 35 W (H8 for halogen bulb type)

NOTICE
Halogen bulbs get very hot wh en lit. Oil, perspiration,

Front Turn Signal/Parking*/Side Marker Light Bulbs
When replacing, use the following bulbs.
1.Turn the socket to the left and remove it,
then remove the old bulb.
2. Insert a new bulb.
Parking/Daytime Ru nning Light Bulbs
Parking/daytime running light bulbs are LED type. Have an authorized Honda dealer
inspect and replace the light assembly.
Side Turn Signal/Emergency Indicator Light Bulbs
Door mirrors have the side turn signal lights. Have an authorized Honda dealer
inspect and replace the light assembly.
Front Turn Signal/Parking/Side Marker Light: 28W/8 W
Models with LED type parking/daytime running lights

Marker Light Bulbs
When replacing, use the following bulbs.
1.Pry on the edge of the cover using a flat-tip
screwdriver to remove the cover.
u Wrap the flat-tip scre wdriver with a cloth
to prevent scratches.
2. Remove the bolts.
3. Pull the light assembly out of the rear pillar.
Back-Up Light: 16 W

replace the light assembly.

Rear License Plate Light Bulbs
When replacing, use the following bulb.
1.Remove the lens by prying on the edge of
the lens using a flat-tip screwdriver.
u Wrap the flat-tip scre wdriver with a cloth
to prevent scratches.
2. Remove the old bulb and insert a new bulb.
High-Mount Bra ke Light Bulbs
High-mount brake light bulbs are LED type . Have an authorized Honda dealer
inspect and replace the light assembly.

Handling the Unexpected
If a Tire Goes Flat
Changing a Flat Tire*
If a tire goes flat while driving, grasp the steering wheel firmly, and brake gradually
to reduce speed. Then, stop in a safe plac e. Replace the flat tire with a compact
spare tire. Go to a dealer as soon as possib le to have the full-size tire repaired or
replaced.
1. Park the vehicle on firm, level, and non-slippery surface an d apply the parking

1Changing a Flat Tire*
Follow compact spare precautions:
Periodically check the tire pressure of the compact
spare. It should be set to the specified pressure.
Specified Pressure: 60 psi (420 kPa, 4.2 kgf/cm
2)
When driving with the compact spare tire, keep the
vehicle speed under 50 mph (80 km/h). Replace with
a full-size tire as soon as possible.
The compact spare tire and wheel in your vehicle are
specifically for this model.
Do not use them with another vehicle.
Do not use another type of compact spare tire or
wheel with your vehicle.
Do not mount tire chains on a compact spare tire.
If a chain-mounted front tire goes flat, remove one of
the full-size rear tires and replace it with the compact
spare tire. Remove the flat front tire and replace it
with the full-size tire that was removed from the rear.
Mount the tire chains on the front tire.
NOTICE
Do not use a puncture-repairing agent, other than
the one provided in the kit that came with your
vehicle. If used, you ma y permanently damage the
tire pressure sensor.
