SRS (Airbag) Service Reminder Indicator (SRI)
The SRS service reminder indicator (SRI) comes on and flashes for about 6seconds after the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position or after the engine is started, after which it will go out. This light also comes on when the SRS is not working properly. If the SRI doesnot come on, or continuously remains on after flashing for about 6 seconds when you turned the ignition key to the"ON" position or started the engine, or if it comes on whilst driving, have the SRS inspected by an authorized HyundaiDealer. B260P02Y-EAT
ABS Service
Reminder Indicator (SRI)(Not all models)
When the key is turned to the "ON" position, the Anti-Lock Brake System SRI will come on and then go off in a fewseconds. If the ABS SRI remains on, comes on while driving, or does not come on when the key is turned to the"ON" position, this indicates that there may be a problem with the ABS. If this occurs, have your vehiclechecked by your Hyundai dealer as soon as possible. The normal braking system will still be operational, butwithout the assistance of the anti-lock brake system. SB210E1-E
Overdrive OFF Indicator Light(Automatic Transaxle only)
When the overdrive (4th gear) switch is turned off and the operation of overdrive (4th gear) is cancelled, the overdrivewarning light (O/D OFF) will be illumi- nated. When the switch is at the on position, the gearbox will operate in thenormal fully automatic mode and the warning light will be extinguished. SB210G1-E Turn Signal Indicator Light
Operation of a turn signal is indicated by the warning light located in the in- strument cluster. If the light fails toilluminate or does not flash, a malfunc- tion within the turn signal system is indicated.
WARNING:
If the both ABS SRI and Parking Brake/ Brake fluid level warning lights re- main "ON" or come on while driving, there may be a problem with E.B.D(Electronic brake force distribution). If this occurs, avoid sudden stops and have your vehicle checked byyour Hyundai dealer as soon as pos- sible.

SB210K1-ELow Oil Pressure Warning Light
!CAUTION:
If the oil pressure warning light illu- minates when the engine is running,an insufficient oil pressure level for continued safe operation of the en- gine exists. Continued operation ofthe engine in this condition may result in serious engine damage. Under normal circumstances, the light will illuminate when the igni- tion is turned "on" and will be extin-guished when the engine is started. If the oil pressure warning light illu- minates whilst the engine is run-ning, stop the engine immediately and check the engine oil level. If the level is insufficient, add the required amount of oil as indicated by theengine oil dipstick. If the light fails to extinguish when the engine is re- started, do not continue to operatethe vehicle. If the oil pressure light illuminates during normal operation and thecause is not an insufficient oil level, or the light fails to illuminate when the ignition is turned "on", contactthe nearest Hyundai dealer before further operating the vehicle.
Warning Light Operation The parking brake/brake fluid level warn- ing light will be illuminated wheneverthe ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position irrespective of whether or not the parking brake is applied and mustbe extinguished when the engine starts and the parking brake released. If the warning light fails to extinguish orilluminates at any other time, the ve- hicle must be brought to rest in a safe location and the level of brake fluid inthe reservoir checked. If the fluid level is incorrect, fluid conforming to DOT 3 or DOT 4 specifications should be added. If, after correcting the brake fluid level, the warning light continues to be illumi- nated, the advice of the nearest Hyundaidealer must be sought before the ve- hicle is driven again. Your Hyundai is equipped with a diago-nally split dual braking system which will ensure that in the event of one of the brake circuits becoming defective, ap-proximately fifty per cent of the normal braking performance will be available. If failure of one of the circuits occurs, the required amount of pedal effort, pedal travel and stopping distance will be increased. Use of the gearbox is

Diesel Pre-heat Indicator Light(Diesel Engine)
The indicator light illuminates amber when the ignition switch is placed at the "ON" position. The engine can bestarted after the pre-heat indicator light goes off. The illuminating time varies with the water temperature, air tem-perature and battery condition. NOTE: If the engine were not started within 10 seconds after the preheating is completed, turn the ignition key once more to the "LOCK" position, andthen to the "ON" position, in order to preheat again.

MULTI FUNCTION SWITCH
SB220A1-E Turn Signal Operation To signal an intention to turn right, the switch lever should be pressed down.To signal an intention to turn left, the switch lever should be pushed upwards. In both instances, the turn signal lightson one side of the car will flash and the warning light located in the instrument cluster will flash in sympathy. Uponcompletion of the manoeuvre, the lever will, under normal circumstances, re- turn to the "Off" position. However, ifthe manoeuvre involved only a small movement of the steering wheel, the signal may need to be cancelled manu-ally. If either turn signal indicator flashes more rapidly than normal or refuses to flash at all, a malfunction of the turnsignal system may exist. SB220B1-E Lane Change Signal To indicate an intention to change lanes, moving the lever slightly towards thedirection of the relevant turn signal will cause the turn signal lights to flash. When the lever is released, it will returnto the "off" position.

ssed, the interval between wipes operates every five seconds inter- mittently.
Do not operate the washer continuouslyfor more than 15 seconds or when the fluid reservoir is empty; this could dam-age the system. Do not operate the wiper when the window is dry; this can result in scratch-ing as well as premature wiper blade wear. For the reason stated above,do notoperate the washer when the washer fluid reservoir is empty.B390A02A-EAT REAR WINDOW WIPER AND WASHER (Not all models)

To adjust the headlight beam level ac- cording to the number of the passen- gers and the loading weight in the lug- gage area, turn the beam leveling switch. The higher the number of the switch position, the lower the headlight beam level. Always keep the headlight beamat the proper leveling position, or head- lights may dazzle other road users. Listed below are the examples of rec-ommended switch settings. For loading conditions other than those listed be- low, adjust the switch position so thatthe beam level may be the nearest as the condition obtained according to the list. B340G01A-E
