9THEFT-ALARM SYSTEM
To engage the child-protector feature so the door cannot be opened from theinside, move the child-protector lever to the " " position and close the door. Move the lever to the " " positionwhen normal door operation is desired. If you wish to be able to open the door from the outside, the outside door handle will function normally.
B070A01A-AAT (If Installed) This system is designed to provide protection from unauthorized entry intothe car. This system is operated in three stages: the first is the "Armed" stage, the second is the "Alarm" stage,and the third is the "Disarmed" stage. If triggered, the system provides an au- dible alarm with blinking of the turnsignal lights.NOTE:
o When pushing the front portion of the driver's door lock switch, all vehicle doors will lock. If any dooris open when the switch is de- pressed, the door will remain locked when closed.
o When pushing the rear portion of the switch, all vehicle doors willunlock.
o The central door locking is oper- ated by turning the key in thedriver's door lock toward the frontor rear of the vehicle.
B040G02HP-AAT Central Door Locks (If Installed) The central door locking switch is lo- cated on the driver's arm rest. It is operated by depressing the door lock switch.

B070C01MC-GAT Alarm Stage The alarm will be activated if any of the following occurs while the car is parkedand the system is armed.
1) Any door, tail gate (3 Door) included,is opened without using the trans- mitter.
2) The trunk lid (4 Door) is opened without using the key.
3) The engine hood is opened. The alarming horn will sound and the turn signal lights will blink continuously for 27 seconds (E.C, Mideast only/Except E.C : This happens 3 times). To turn off the system, unlock the door with the transmitter.
NOTE:
1) If any door, trunk lid (4 Door)/tail gate (3 Door) or engine hood re- mains open, the system will notbe armed. If this happens, rearm the system as previously described.
2) Once the system is armed, only the trunk lid (4 Door) may be un-locked using the ignition key with-out disarming the system.

Park the car and stop the engine. Arm the system as described in the follow- ing paragraph.
1) Remove the ignition key from the ignition switch.
2) Make sure that the engine hood and trunk lid (4 Door)/tail gate (3 Door) are closed and latched.
3) Lock the doors using the transmitter of the keyless entry system.
After completion of the steps above, the turn signal lights will blink once to indicate that the system is armed. CAUTION:
Do not arm the system until all pas-sengers have left the car. If the sys- tem is armed while a passenger(s)remains in the car, the alarm may be activated when the remaining passenger(s) leaves the car.

Avoid trying to start the engine while the system is armed.

B070D01MC-GAT Disarmed Stage
The system will be disarmed when the driver's or passenger's door is unlocked by depressing the button on the trans- mitter after the system was armed. After completion of the step above, the turn signal lights will blink twice toindicate that the system is disarmed. If any door, trunk lid(4 Door)/tail gate(3 Door) or engine hood is not opened within 30 seconds, the system will be rearmed. B070D02AMC
NOTE: When the system is disarmed with the interior light switched to "DOOR", the interior light will illuminate for 30seconds.
B070F02A-GAT Keyless Entry System (If Installed) Locking doors
1. Close all doors.
2. Push the button on the transmitter.
3. At the same time all doors lock, the
turn signal lights will blink once toindicate that the system is armed.
Unlocking doors 1. Push the button on the transmitter once more after all doors were locked.
2. At the same time all doors unlock,
the turn signal lights will blink twice to indicate that the system is dis- armed.
CAUTION:
Only the transmitter can disarm the armed stage. If the transmitter does not disarm the system, it is neces- sary to take the following steps;
1. Unlock the door with the key, which will cause the alarm to be acti- vated.
2. Insert the key in the ignition key
cylinder and turn the ignition keyto "ON" position.
3. Wait for 30 seconds. After completing the steps above, the system will be disarmed.

To raise or lower the window, turn the window regulator handle clockwise or counterclockwise. WARNING:
When opening or closing the win- dows, make sure your passenger'sarms, hands and body are safely out of the way.
3. Remove the battery cover with a
coin.
4. Remove the old battery from the case and note the polarity. Make sure the polarity of the new batteryis the same (+side facing up), then insert it in the transmitter.

B070E01MC-AAT Replacing the battery When the transmitter's battery begins to get weak, it may take several pusheson the button to lock or unlock the doors, and the LED will not light. Re- place the battery as soon as possible. Battery type : CR1220 Replacement instructions:
1. Remove the screw with a phillipsscrewdriver.

B180A01MC-GAT SEAT BELTS 3-Point System with Emergency Locking Retrac-torTo Fasten Your Belt To fasten your seat belt, pull it out of the retractor and insert the metal tab into the buckle. There will be an audible "click" when the tab locks into thebuckle. The seat belt automatically adjusts to the proper length only after the lap beltis adjusted manually so that it fits snugly around your hips. If you lean forward in a slow, easy motion, the beltwill extend and let you move around. If there is a sudden stop or impact, how- ever, the belt will lock into position. It
B180A01NF will also lock if you try to lean forward too quickly. Check to make sure thatthe belt is properly locked and that the belt is not twisted. NOTE: If the seat belt is not fastened when the ignition key is turned from the "OFF" position to the "ON" position, the seat belt warning will activate toremind the driver to fasten the seat belt as follows. Seat Belt Warning Light
(Except E.C)
The seat belt warning light blinks for about 6 seconds when the ignition key is turned from the "OFF" position to the "ON".
*1) When the ignition key is turned from "OFF" position to "ON" within 1 minute.
*2) The switch returns to "ON" when you let go of the key.
*3) If the vehicle speed exceeds 9km/
h, the seat belt chime also sounds for about 1~2 minutes. If the vehicle speed is below 9km/h, 1 minute later the seat belt chimealso sounds for about 1~2 minutes.
NOTE: If the driver's seat belt is operated in this order "unbuckled
buckled
unbuckled" within 9 seconds after the seat belt is buckled, the seat belt warning light and chime will notactivate.
The seat belt warning light and chimewill activate to the following table.

!WARNING:
To obtain maximum benefit from a pre-tensioner seat belt:
1. The seat belt must be worn cor- rectly.
2. The seat belt must be adjusted to the correct position.
NOTE:
o Both the driver's and front passenger's pre-tensioner seat belts will be activated in certainfrontal collisions. The pre- tensioner seat belts can be activat- ed with the airbags. The pre-tensioners will be activated even if the seat belts are not being worn at the time of the collision.
o When the pre-tensioner seat belts are activated, a loud noise may beheard and fine dust, which mayappear to be smoke, may be vis- ible in the passenger compart- ment. These are normal operatingconditions and are not hazard- ous.
The seat belt pre-tensioner systemconsists mainly of the following compo- nents.Their locations are shown in the illustra- tion.

B180B01MC-GAT Pre-tensioner Seat Belt (If Installed) Your Hyundai vehicle is equipped with driver's and front passenger's pre-tensioner seat belts. The purpose of the pre-tensioner is to make sure that the seat belts fit tightly against the occu-pant's body in certain frontal collisions. The pre-tensioner seat belts can be activated with the airbags.
The pre-tensioner seat belt operates ina similar way as an Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) type of seat belt. When the vehicle stops suddenly, or if theoccupant tries to lean forward too quickly, the seat belt retractor will lock into position. In certain frontal colli-
