CAUTION:
When installing a container of liquid air freshener inside a vehicle, do not place it near the instrument cluster nor on the instrument panel pad surface. If there is any leakage from the air freshener onto these areas (instrument cluster, instrument panel pad or air ventilator), it may damage these parts. WARNING:
o Unlocked doors can be danger- ous. Before you drive away (es- pecially if there are children in the car), be sure that all the doorsare securely closed and locked so that the doors cannot be inad- vertently opened from the inside.This helps ensure that doors will not be opened accidentally.
o Before opening the door, always
look for and avoid oncoming traf-fic. o The door can be locked or unlocked
with a key.
o Lock the door by turning the key toward the rear of the vehicle andunlock it by turning the key toward the front. B040C01FC-GAT Locking From the Outside
The doors can be locked without a key. To lock the doors from the outside, first push the inside lock switch to the"LOCK" position, so that the red mark on the switch is not visible, then close the door.The door will not lock if the key is left in the ignition switch when the front doors close. This is normal. (Not all models) NOTE:
o When locking the door this way, be careful not to lock the door with the ignition key left in thevehicle.

The front door windows may be opened or closed by turning the window regula- tor handle. Ensure that when the win-dows are closed, nothing may become trapped between the glass and the door frame. HTB064-D

In order to prevent operation of the passenger front and rear windows, a window lock switch is provided on thearmrest of the driver's door. To disable the power windows, press the window lock switch.To revert to normal operation, press the window lock switch a second time. Auto-Down Window (Driver's Side) The Auto-Down window is moved to its fully open position by pushing the switch. To stop at the desired positionpush the switch again.
B060A01E-EAT POWER WINDOWS (Not all models)
The power windows operate when the ignition key is in the "ON" position. The main switches are located on the driver's armrest and control the front and rearwindows on both sides of the vehicle. The windows may be opened by de- pressing the appropriate window switchand closed by pulling up the switch. To open the window on the driver's side, press the switch(1) down. The windowmoves as long as the switch is oper- ated.
WARNING:
When opening or closing the win- dows, make sure your passenger's arms and hands are safety out of the way.

B080A01FC-EAT SEAT ADJUSTMENT B080B01FC-EAT FRONT SEATS Front Seat Rake Adjustment
The front seat rake adjustment is per- formed by raising the lever at the front of the seat base and sliding the seat tothe desired position. At this position the lever should be released and the seat rocked to and fro to ensure that themechanism has locked.
WARNING:
Front seat adjustments must not beundertaken whilst the vehicle is in motion. Loss of control of the ve- hicle may result if seat adjustmentsare made whilst the vehicle is in motion. SB070C1-E Front Seat Recline Adjustment
WARNING:
1) Be careful that someone's head, hands and body are not trapped by a closing window.
2) Never try to operate the main switch on the driver's door andthe individual door window switchin opposing directions at the same time. If this is done, the window will stop and cannot be opened orclosed.
3) Do not leave children alone in the
car. Always remove the ignitionkey for their safety.
The front seat back recline angle maybe adjusted by leaning forward slightlyand raising the recline adjustment lever at the side of the seat. When the seatback is at the desired angle, thelever should be released. Ensure that the seatback is locked before driving the vehicle.

SB070F1-F Seat Cushion Height Adjustment (Not all models) (Driver's seat only) To raise or lower the front part of the seat cushion, turn the front knob for- ward or rearward.To raise or lower the rear part of the seat cushion, turn the rear knob forward or rearward.

SB070D2-E Head Restraint Adjustment To raise the head restraint, pull it up. To lower it, push it down while pressing the lock knob. For maximum effectivenessin the event of an accident, the restraint must be adjusted so that the restraint is approximately at the level of the seatoccupant's ears. The restraint must never be so adjusted that it is centred about the level of the seat occupant'sneck. WARNING:
Do not operate the vehicle with the restraints removed. The restraints provide protection against neck in-jury when installed and correctly adjusted. Some models are fitted with adjustabledriver seat lumbar support which may be used to increase the amount oflumbar support offered by the seat back. Adjustment is performed by moving the handle at the side of the backrest in aforward direction to increase the sup- port.

ZB070A1-E REAR SEAT ENTRY (For 3-door model) The front passenger seatback should be tilted to enter the rear seat. By pulling up on the recliner controllever (1) at the outside of the front passenger seat, the seatback will tilt forward and the seat will automaticallyslide forward. Rear seat occupants can tilt the front passenger seatback by depressing thefoot lever (2) as shown in the drawing. WARNING:
Passengers sitting in the rear seatshould be careful not to accidentallypress the foot lever (2) whilst the vehicle is moving. As this may cause the seat back to move forward andinjure a front seat occupant.

In order to prevent the shoulder beltfrom being damaged while folding therear seat, the shoulder belt must be passed through the hanger to keep it out of the way.CAUTION:

o When you return the folded down seatback to its upright position, make sure the seat belts are in position to be accessible and to function properly.
o When you return the folded down seatback to its upright position,be careful not to get your fingersor legs caught in the mechanism.
o The purpose of the fold down
rear seatback and the fold for-ward rear seat cushion is to in- crease cargo space. Do not allow passengers to sit in the cargoarea while the car is moving. This is not a proper seating position
3. Pull the seat cushion release handle
rear ward, then lift up a desired seatcushion.
4. To secure the seat, hook the secur-ing strap under the seat back to the headrest stay of front driver andpassenger seat.
5. To return the seatback and seat
cushion to its normal position, re-verse the above procedure.
o When you return the seatback to its
upright position, always be sure it islocked into position by pulling and pushing on the top of seatback.

B090B01TB-EAT Folding Rear Seatback and Seat Cushion For greater convenience, the entire seatback and seat cushion may be folded down and up.
1. Push the headrest down to the low- est position.
2. To fold down the seatback , push and hold the seatback folding lever toward the headrest, then push down the seatback.
