(3) THIS INTERVAL DEPENDS ON FUEL QUALITY. IT IS APPLICABLE ONLY WHEN USING A QUALIFIED FUEL,"EN 590 OR EQUIVALENT". IF THE DIESEL FUEL SPECIFICATIONS DON'T MEET THE EUROPEANSTANDARDS EN 590, REPLACE IT MORE FREQUENTLY. CONSULT AN AUTHORIZED HYUNDAI DEALERFOR DETAILS. IN CASE OF LOW ENGINE POWER OR FUEL PRESSURE DECREASE OF THE FUEL FILTER, REPLACE FUEL FILTER IMMEDIATELY REGARDLESS OF MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE.
(4) INSPECT EVERY 7,500KM OR 6 MONTHS AND REPLACE EVERY 15,000KM OR 12 MONTHS.
WHEN REPLACING THE FUEL FILTER CARTRIDGE, USE HYUNDAI GENUINE PARTS.

6- 22 DO-IT-YOURSELF MAINTENANCE
Drive belts should be checked periodi- cally for proper tension and adjusted if necessary. At the same time, beltsshould be examined for cracks, wear, fraying or other evidence of deteriora- tion and replaced if necessary.Belt routing should also be checked to be sure there is no interference be- tween the belts and other parts of theengine.
