B010B01A-AAT What About Gasohol? Gasohol (a mixture of 90% unleaded gasoline and 10% ethanol or grainalcohol) may be used in your Hyundai. However, if your engine develops driveability problems, the use of 100%unleaded gasoline is recommended. Fuels with unspecified quantities of alcohol, or alcohols other than ethanol, should not be used.
B010A03O-GAT Use Unleaded Gasoline For Europe
– For the optimal vehicle
performance, we recommend you to use unleaded gasoline with an octanerating of RON (Research Octane Num- ber) 95 /AKI (Anti Knock Index) 91 or higher. You may use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of RON 91~94/AKI 87~90 but it may result in slight performancereduction of the vehicle. Except Europe – Unleaded gasoline
with a Pump Octane Rating of 87 (Re- search Octane Number 91) or higher must be used in Hyundai vehicle. If leaded gasoline is used, it will causethe catalytic converter to become inef-fective and the emission control sys- tem to malfunction. This can also result in increased maintenance expense. To avoid accidental use of leaded fuel, the large nozzle used with leaded gaso- line at service stations can not beinserted into fuel tank opening of Hyundai vehicle. NOTE:
o For some countries, Hyundai ve-
hicles are designed to use leaded gasoline. When you are going to use leaded gasoline, ask toHyundai dealer whether leaded gasoline in your vehicle is avail- able or not.
o Octane Rating of leaded gaso- line is same with unleaded one.
Use Diesel Diesel fuel of 52 to 54 cetane is used in Hyundai vehicle. If two types of dieselfuel are available, use summer or win- ter fuel properly according to the fol- lowing temperature conditions. CAUTION:
Do not let any gasoline or water enterthe tank. This would make it neces-sary to drain it out and to bleed the lines to avoid jamming the injection pump and damaging the engine.
!

FUEL RECOMMENDATIONS
o Above -5°C (23°F) ... Summer typediesel fuel.
o Below -5°C (23°F) ... Winter type diesel fuel.
Watch the fuel level in the tank very carefully : If the engine stops through fuel failure, the circuits must be com-pletely purged to permit restarting.

B260H03A-AAT Parking Brake/Low Brake
Fluid Level Warning Light other time, you should slow the vehicle and bring it to a complete stop in a safelocation off the roadway. The brake warning light indicates that the brake fluid level in the brake mas-ter cylinder is low and hydraulic brake fluid conforming to DOT 3 or DOT 4 specifications should be added. Afteradding fluid, if no other trouble is found, the car should be immediately and carefully driven to a Hyundai dealer forinspection. If further trouble is experi- enced, the vehicle should not be driven at all but taken to a dealer by aprofessional towing service. Your Hyundai is equipped with dual- diagonal braking systems. This meansyou still have braking on two wheels even if one of the dual systems should fail. With only one of the dual systemsworking, more than normal pedal travel and greater pedal pressure are re- quired to stop the car. Also, the car willnot stop in as short a distance with only half of the brake system working. If the brakes fail while you are driving, shiftto a lower gear for additional engine braking and stop the car as soon as it is safe to do so.
WARNING:
If you suspect brake trouble, have your brakes checked by a Hyundaidealer as soon as possible. Driving your car with a problem in either the brake electrical system or brakehydraulic system is dangerous, and could result in a serious injury or death. Warning Light Operation The parking brake / low brake fluid level warning light should come on when the parking brake is applied and the igni-tion switch is turned to "ON" or "START". After the engine is started, the light should go out when the park-ing brake is released. If the parking brake is not applied, the warning light should come on when theignition switch is turned to "ON" or "START", then go out when the engine starts. If the light comes on at any

then go out when the engine is started. If the oil pressure warning light stays on while the engine isrunning, there may be a serious malfunction. If this happens, stop the car assoon as it is safe to do so, turn off the engine and check the oil level. If the oil level is low, fill the engine oilto the proper level and start the engine again. If the light stays on with the engine running, turn theengine off immediately. In any in- stance where the oil light stays on when the engine is running, theengine should be checked by an authorized Hyundai dealer before the car is driven again.

o Automotive fuels are flammable/
explosive materials. When refuel- ing, please note the following guidelines carefully.- Before touching the fuel nozzle or fuel filler cap, have one'shands in contact with metal parts away from the filler neckto discharge static electricity.
- Do not get back in the vehicle
while refueling. Do not operateanything that can produce static electricity. Static electricity dis- charge can ignite fuel vaporsresulting in an explosion.
- When using a portable fuel con-
tainer, be sure to place the con-tainer on the ground while refu- eling. Static electricity dis- charge from the container canignite fuel vapors causing a fire. While starting refueling, contact should be maintaineduntil the filling is complete.
WARNING:
o Fuel vapors are dangerous. Be- fore refueling, always stop the en- gine and never allow sparks or open flames near the filler area. Ifyou need to replace the filler cap, use a genuine Hyundai replace- ment part.If you open the fuel filler cap dur- ing high ambient temperatures, a slight "pressure sound" may beheard. This is normal and not a cause for concern. Whenever you open the fuel fillercap, turn it slowly.
