SB040D1-F Locking From The Inside To lock the doors from inside, simply close the door and push the lock switch to the "LOCK" position. When this is done, the door cannot beusing either the inside or the outside door handle. NOTE: When the door is locked, the red mark on the switch is not visible and the character "LOCK" on the switch is visible. SB040F2-E Child-proof Rear Door Lock The rear doors are fitted with child proof locks to prevent accidental opening of the doors using the inside door handle, whilst allowing access by means of theoutside handle (such as is required in the event of an acccident for example) provided that the door lock button is atthe unlocked position. Use of the child proof lock mechanism is recommended when children are carried in the vehicle.The child proof lock mechanism may be activated by opening the door and moving the lever located by the doorlatch to the " " position. Move the lever to the " " position when normal door operation is desired.SB040G1-F Central Door Lock (Not all models) The central door locking is operated by pushing the driver's door lock switch toward the front or rear of the vehicle. If the passenger and rear doors are openwhen the switch is pushed, the door will remain locked when closed. NOTE:
o When pushing the switch toward
the rear, all doors and tail gate will unlock. When pushing the switch towardthe front, all doors and tail gate will lock.

This enables a much more secure and positive location with the added benefitof easier and quicker installation. An ISOFIX-seat can only be installed if it has vehicle-specific approval in ac- cordance with the requirements of ECE- R44. For your Hyundai, the HyundaiISOFIX GR1 / Hyundai Duo / Römer ISOFIX GR1 and the Römer Duo ISOFIX / Britax Duo ISOFIX is approved ac-cording to the requirement ECE-R44. This seat has been tested extensively by Hyundai and is recommended foryour Hyundai. NOTE: At present, this seat is the only one complying with that provision. Incase that other manufacturers will furnish proof of a respective certifi- cation, Hyundai is going to evaluatethis seat carefully and will give a recommendation provided that seat complies to the law. Please ask yourHyundai authorised repairer in this respect.On each side of the rear seat, between the cushion and backrest, are located a pair of ISOFIX anchorage points to- gether with a top tether mounting lo-cated in the luggage compartment. During the installation, the seat has to be engaged at the anchorage-points insuch a way whereby you can hear it click (check by pulling!) and has to be fixed with the Top Tether-belt to the toptether mounting located in the luggage compartment. The installing and the use of a child-seat has to be doneaccording to the installation manual for the ISOFIX-seat, whilst using the ISOFIX-child-seat, the rear-bench notallowed to be moved beyond the middle position to the forward direction.

o Do not place objects other than cups or cans in the drink holder. Such objects can be thrown out inthe event of a sudden stop or an accident, possibly injuring the pas- sengers in the vehicle.

SUNROOF
SB330A3-E (Not all models) The electrically operated sunroof may be used only whilst the ignition switch is at the "ON" position. The sunroof is equipped with a sunshade which maybe used whilst the sunroof is at the closed position to obscure incoming light.The sunshade is automatically opened whenever the sunroof is opened but must be manually closed by slidingforward after the sunroof is closed. When the sunroof is opened, the wind deflector will automatically rise to theupper position and will automatically retract when the sunroof is closed.

Never install or remove the sunshade whilst driving. To open the sunroof, depress and hold the button indicated. The button should be released when the sunroof is at the fully open position. The sunroof may beclosed by depressing and holding the button indicated. The button should be released when the sunroof is at the fullyclosed position.

The sunroof can be tilted and closed by depressing the button indicated. Re-lease the button when the sunroof reaches the up position. NOTE: The sunroof should not be opened when water or standing rain is on the roof panel. Driving the vehicle for a short distance will allow the water todisperse naturally at which point the sunroof may be opened. B460D01FC-EAT Manual Operation of Sunroof If the sunroof fails to operate:

1. Remove the rectangular plastic inte- rior light lenses in the front overhead console.

o Do not close a sunroof if anyone's hands, arms or body are between the sliding glass and the sunroof sash, as this could result in injury.
o Do not place your head or arms

SB340B2-E Interior Light The interior courtesy light has a button of three positions. The three positions are:
oDR In the "DR" position, the interior cour- tesy light comes on when any door is opened regardless of the ignition key position. The light goes out when thedoor is closed.
oON In the "ON" position, the light stays on at all times.
2. Turn the hexagonal bolts with a socket
wrench counterclockwise to removethe front overhead console.
3. Insert the hexagonal head wrench
provided with the vehicle into thesocket. This wrench can be found in the vehicle's luggage room or glove box.

INTERIOR LIGHT
The two map lights are located at each side of the interior light. The lights may be operated by depress- ing the switch to turn on the light andpressing again to turn off the light. This light produces a spot beam for conve- nient use as a map light at night or asa personal light for the driver or the passenger.
