(Petrol Engine)
This operation should only be per-
formed when the engine is cold.
1. Remove the centre cover from the engine rocker cover.
2. Remove plug lead from the sparking
plug to be replaced, pulling the lead by the rubber cap. (Pulling the lead may damage the carbon conductor).

6. Start the engine with the radiator cap still removed and continue to add coolant as the level decreases as air is expelled from the system. When the level remains constant, replace the radiator cap and replen- ish the coolant reservoir.
7. When the engine is hot, check to ensure that no coolant leaks arepresent. WARNING:
The cooling fan is controlled by
engine coolant temperature and maysometimes operate even when theengine is not running. Use extreme caution when working near the blades of the cooling fan so thatyou are not injured by a rotating fan blade. As the engine coolant tem- perature decreases, the fan will au-tomatically shut off. This is a nor- mal condition. 0.039~0.043 in. (1.0~1.0 mm)

The level of windscreen washer fluid available should be checked on a daily basis. The level of fluid will be visible through the side of the reservoir. When the fluid is to be replenished, only a proprietary screen wash addi- tive should be used and in the concen- tration recommended by the manufac- turer. The windscreen washer reser- voir has a total capacity of 3 litres.

Engine coolant anti freeze must not
be used in the windscreen washer system since damage to the paintwork may result.

1. Put a new wiper blade onto the
wiper arm and lower the wiper blade at the level of the wiper arm as shown in the drawing.
2. Pull up the wiper blade until you hear an audible "click" to engage in the end of the wiper arm.
NOTE: Do not allow the wiper arm to fall against the windscreen.
!
Undiluted windscreen washer addi-
tive must not be allowed to come into contact with the paintwork. If spillage occurs, flush the affected area immediately with water. Do notoperate the windscreen washer for more than 15 seconds continuously or when the reservoir is empty sincedamage to the washer pump will result.
WARNING:
o Windscreen washer fluid agents contain some amounts of alcohol and can be flammable under cer-tain circumstances. Do not allow sparks of flame to contact the washer fluid or the washer fluidreservoir. Damage to the vehicle or its occupants could occur.
o Windscreen washer fluid is poi- sonous to humans and animals. Do not drink windscreen washerfluid. Serious injury or death could occur.

BRAKE SYSTEM CHECKING
Fluid level should be within this range

WARNING:
The cooling fan is controlled by engine coolant temperature and may sometimes operate even when the engine is not running. Use extremecaution when working near the blades of the cooling fan so that you are not injured by a rotating fanblade. As the engine coolant tem- perature decreases, the fan will au- tomatically shut off. This is a nor-mal condition. WARNING (Diesel only):
Never work on injection system with
engine running or within 30 sec- onds after shutting off engine. Highpressure pump, rail, injectors and high pressure pipes are subject to high pressure even after the enginestopped. The fuel jet produced by fuel leaks may cause serious injury, if it contacts the body.
People using pacemakers should
ensure that they keep a distance of30cm from the ECU or wiring har- ness within the engine room whilst engine is running, since the highcurrents in the Common Rail sys- tem produce considerable magnetic fields. SG120A1-E
CAUTION:
Correct operation of the braking
system is essential to the safe op-eration of the vehicle and therefore, any maintenance operations other than those listed below should beentrusted to a Hyundai authorised repairer.
