Tilt Steering / Telescope Steering
When adjusting the steering wheel to
a comfortable position, adjust the
steering wheel so that it points
toward your chest, not toward your
face. Make sure you can see the
instrument panel warning lights and
gauges. After adjusting, push the
steering wheel both up and down to
be certain it is locked in position.
Always adjust the position of the
steering wheel before driving.To adjust the steering wheel angleand height:
1. Pull down the lock-release lever
(1).
2. Adjust the steering wheel to the desired angle (2) and height (3).
3. Pull up the lock-release lever to lock the steering wheel in place. Information
Sometimes the lock release lever may
not engage completely. This may
occur when the gears of the locking
mechanism do not completely mesh.
If this occurs, pull down on the lock-
release lever, readjust the steering
wheel again, and then pull back up on
the release lever to lock the steering
wheel in place.

Your vehicle may be equipped with a
Gentex Automatic-Dimming Mirror
with a Z-Nav™ Electronic Compass
Display and an Integrated HomeLink ®
Wireless Control System.
During nighttime driving, this feature will automatically detect and reduce
rearview mirror glare while the com-
pass indicates the direction the vehi-
cle is pointed. The HomeLink ®
Universal Transceiver allows you to
activate your garage door(s), electric
gate, home lighting, etc.

The NVS ®
Mirror automatically
reduces glare by monitoring light lev- els in the front and the rear of the
vehicle. Any object that obstructs
either light sensor will degrade the
automatic dimming control feature.

www.gentex.com The auto-dimming function can be
controlled by pressing the ON/OFF
button:
1. Pressing the button turns the
auto-dimming function OFF which
is indicated by the green Status
Indicator LED turning off.
2. Pressing the button again turns the auto-dimming function ON
which is indicated by the green
Status Indicator LED turning on.
The mirror defaults to the ON posi-
tion each time the vehicle is started.
Z-Nav™ Compass Display
The NVS™ Mirror in your vehicle is
also equipped with a Z-Nav™
Compass that shows the vehicle
Compass heading in the Display
Window using the 8 basic cardinalheadings (N, NE, E, SE, etc.).

To adjust the Zone setting:
1. Determine the desired ZoneNumber based upon your current
location on the Zone Map.
2. Press and hold the button for more than 3 but less than 6 sec-
onds, the current Zone Number
will appear on the display.
3. Pressing and holding the button again will cause the numbers to
increment (Note: they will repeat
…13, 14, 15, 1, 2, …). Releasing
the button when the desired Zone
Number appears on the display
will set the new Zone.
4. Within about 5 seconds the com- pass will start displaying a com-pass heading again.
There are some conditions that can
cause changes to the vehicle mag-
nets, such as installing a ski rack or
a CB antenna. Body repair work on
the vehicle can also cause changes
to the vehicle’s magnetic field. In
these situations, the compass will
need to be re-calibrated to quickly
correct these changes. If you need to recalibrate the com-pass:
1. Press and hold the button for
more than 6 seconds. When the
compass memory is cleared a "C"
will appear in the display.
2. Drive the vehicle in 2 complete cir- cles at less than 8 km/h (5 mph).Integrated HomeLink ®

The HomeLink ®
Wireless Control
System can replace up to three hand-
held radio-frequency (RF) transmit-
ters with a single built-in device. This
innovative feature will learn the radiofrequency codes of most current
transmitters to operate devices such
as gate operators, garage door open-
ers, entry door locks, security sys-
tems, even home lighting. Both stan-
dard and rolling code-equipped trans-
mitters can be programmed by fol-
lowing the outlined procedures. Additional HomeLink ®

Retain the original transmitter of the
RF device you are programming for
use in other vehicles as well as forfuture HomeLink ®
programming. It is
also suggested that upon the sale of

Programming HomeLink®
Please note the following:
When programming a garage door
opener, it is advised to park the
vehicle outside of the garage.
It is recommended that a new bat- tery be placed in the hand-held
transmitter of the device being pro-
grammed to HomeLink ®
for quicker
training and accurate transmission
of the radio-frequency signal.
Some vehicles may require the engine Start/Stop button to be
placed in the ACC position for pro-
gramming and/or operation ofHomeLink ®
.

Rolling code programming
Rolling code devices which are
"code-protected" and manufactured
after 1996 may be determined by the
following:
Reference the device owner’s manual for verification.
The handheld transmitter appears to program the HomeLink ®
Universal Transceiver but does not
activate the device.
Press and hold the trained HomeLink button. The device has
the rolling code feature if the indi-
cator light flashes rapidly and then
turns solid after 2 seconds.
Before programming HomeLink
®
to a garage door opener or gate
operator, make sure people and
objects are out of the way of the
device to prevent potential harm
or damage.WARNING

To train rolling code devices, follow
these instructions:
1. At the garage door opener receiv-er (motor-head unit) in the garage,
locate the "learn" or "smart" but-
ton. This can usually be foundwhere the hanging antenna wire isattached to the motor-head unit.
Exact location and color of the but-
ton may vary by garage door
opener brand. If there is difficulty
locating the training button, refer-
ence the device owner’s manual or
please visit our Web site at
www.homelink.com.
2. Firmly press and release the "learn" or "smart" button (which
activates the "training light"). You
will have 30 seconds to initiatestep 3. 3. Return to the vehicle and firmly
press, hold for two seconds andthen release the desiredHomeLink ®
button. Repeat the
"press/hold/release" sequence asecond time to complete the pro-
gramming. (Some devices may
require you to repeat thissequence a third time to complete
the programming.)
4. Press and hold the just-trained HomeLink ®
button and observe
the red Status Indicator LED. If the
indicator light stays on constantly,
programming is complete and
your device should activate.
5. To program the remaining two HomeLink ®
buttons, follow either
steps 1 through 4 above for other
Rolling Code devices or steps 2
through 5 in Standard Programming
for standard devices.Standard programming
To train most devices, follow these
instructions:
1. For first-time programming, press and hold the two outside buttons, HomeLink ®
Channel 1 and
Channel 3 Buttons, until the indi-cator light begins to flash (after 20
seconds). Release both buttons.
Do not hold the buttons for longer
than 30 seconds.
2. Position the end of your hand-held transmitter 2-8 cm (1-3 inches)
away from the HomeLink ®
buttons
while keeping the indicator light in
view.
3. Simultaneously press and hold both the HomeLink ®
and hand-
held transmitter button. DO NOT
release the buttons until step 4has been completed.
4. While continuing to hold the but- tons the red Indicator Status LED
will flash slowly and then rapidlyafter HomeLink ®
successfully
trains to the frequency signal from
the hand-held transmitter. Release
both buttons.

5. Press and hold the just-trainedHomeLink ®
button and observe
the red Status Indicator LED. If the
indicator light stays on constantly,
programming is complete and
your device should activate whenthe HomeLink ®
button is pressed
and released.
6. To program the remaining two HomeLink ®
buttons, follow steps 2
through 5.Gate operator & Canadian program-
ming
During programming, your handheld
transmitter may automatically stop
transmitting. Continue to press the
Integrated HomeLink ®
Wireless
Control System button (note steps 2 through 4 in the Standard
Programming portion of this docu-
ment) while you press and re-press
("cycle") your handheld transmitter
every two seconds until the frequen-
cy signal has been learned. The indi-
cator light will flash slowly and then
rapidly after several seconds upon
successful training.
Operating HomeLink®
To operate, simply press and release
the programmed HomeLink ®
button.
Activation will now occur for the
trained device (i.e. garage door
opener, gate operator, security sys-
tem, entry door lock, home/office
lighting, etc.). For convenience, the
hand-held transmitter of the device
may also be used at any time.
Reprogramming a single
HomeLink®button
To program a new device to a previ-
ously trained HomeLink ®
button, fol-
low these steps:
1. Press and hold the desired HomeLink ®
button. Do NOT
release until step 4 has been com- pleted.
2. When the indicator light begins to flash slowly (after 20 seconds),
position the handheld transmitter
2-8 cm (1 to 3 inches) away fromthe HomeLink ®
surface.
3. Press and hold the handheld transmitter button. The HomeLink ®
indicator light will flash, first slowly
and then rapidly.
4. When the indicator light begins to flash rapidly, release both buttons.
5. Press and hold the just-trained HomeLink ®
button and observe
the red Status Indicator LED. If the
indicator light stays on constantly,
programming is complete and
your new device should activate.

Erasing HomeLink®buttons
Individual buttons cannot be erased.
However, to erase all three pro-
grammed buttons:
1. Press and hold the two outerHomeLink ®
buttons until the indi-
cator light begins to flash-after 20
seconds.
2. Release both buttons. Do not hold for longer than 30 seconds.

(learn) mode and can be pro-
grammed at any time following the

Side View Mirrors
Be sure to adjust mirror angles
before driving.
Your vehicle is equipped with both
left-hand and right-hand side view
mirrors. The Side View Mirrors canbe adjusted remotely with the remote
switch. The Side View Mirror can be
folded to prevent damage during an
automatic car wash or when passing
through a narrow street.
The right hand side view mirror is
convex. Objects seen in the mirror
are closer than they appear.

Power Windows
Engine Start/Stop button must be in
the ON position to be able to raise or
lower the windows. Each door has a
Power Window switch to control that
door’s window. The driver has a
Power Window Lock switch which
can block the operation of passenger
windows. The power windows will
operate for approximately 30 sec-
onds after engine Start/Stop button
is in the ACC or OFF position.
However, if the front doors are
opened, the Power Windows cannot
be operated even within the 30 sec-
ond period.Information
 In cold and wet climates, power win- dows may not work properly due to
freezing conditions.
 While driving with the rear win- dows down or with the sunroof (if
equipped) opened (or partially
opened), your vehicle may demon-
strate a wind buffeting or pulsation
noise. This noise is normal and can
be reduced or eliminated by taking
the following actions. If the noise
occurs with one or both of the rear
windows down, partially lower both
front windows approximately
2.5 cm (one inch). If you experience
the noise with the sunroof open,
slightly close the sunroof.
Window opening and closing
To open:
Press the window switch down to the
first detent position (5). Release the
switch when you want the window to
stop.
To close:
Pull the window switch up to the first
detent position (5). Release the win-
dow switch when you want the win-
dow to stop.

do not extend your head, arms
or body outside the windowswhile driving.

Periodically remove any dirt thatmay accumulate on the sunroof guide rail or between the sun-
roof and roof panel, which can
make a noise.
Do not try to open the sunroof when the temperature is below
freezing or when the sunroof is
covered with snow or ice, other-wise the motor could be dam-
aged. In cold and wet climates,
the sunroof may not work prop-
erly.
Resetting the sunroof
Sunroof needs to be reset if (in the
followings)
- Battery is discharged or disconnect-ed or the related fuse has been replaced or disconnected
- The one-touch sliding function of the sunroof does not normally operate
1. Turn hybrid system on and close the sunroof glass and sunshade
completely.
2. Release the control lever.
3. Push the sunroof control lever for- ward in the direction of close (about 10 seconds) until the sun-
roof slightly moves. Then, release
the lever. 4. Push the sunroof control lever for-
ward in the direction of close until
the sunroof operates as follows:
Sunshade Open Glass Tilt Open
Glass Slide Open Glass Slide
Close Sunshade Close
Then, release the control lever.
When this is complete, the sunroof system is reset.
For more information, contact an

Information
If the sunroof does not reset when the
vehicle battery is disconnected or dis-
charged or related fuse is blown, the
sunroof may not operate normally.

NOTICE
Small objects that can get
caught between the sunroof
glass and the front glass chan-
nel may not be detected by the
automatic reverse system. In
this case, the sunroof glass willnot detect the object and will
not reverse direction.
