WINDSHIELD WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH
B350B01O-GAT Windshield Washer Operation To use the windshield washer, pull the wiper/washer lever toward the steer- ing wheel. When the washer lever isoperated, the wipers automatically make two passes across the wind- shield. The washer continues to oper-ate until the lever is released. NOTE:
o Do not operate the washer more
than 15 seconds at a time or when the fluid reservoir is empty.
o In icy or freezing weather, be
sure the wiper blades are notfrozen to the glass prior to oper- ating the wipers.
B350A01A-AAT The windshield wiper switch has three positions:
1. Intermittent wiper operation
2. Low-speed operation
3. High-speed operation NOTE: To prevent damage to the wiper system, do not attempt to wipe awayheavy accumulations of snow or ice. Accumulated snow and ice should be removed manually. Ifthere is only a light layer of snow or ice, operate the heater in the de- frost mode to melt the snow or icebefore using the wiper.

B350C01O-AAT Adjustable Intermittent Wiper Operation To use the intermittent wiper feature, place the wiper switch in the "INT" position. With the switch in this posi- tion, the interval between wipes can bevaried from approximately 1 to 18 sec- onds by turning the interval adjuster barrel. This is also varied automati-cally depending on your road speed. B390A01E-AAT Rear Window Wiper and Washer Switch
1. : The rear window wiper starts
to operate three times after the washer fluid sprays onto the rear window.
2.OFF 3.INT: The interval between wipes op- erates every 5 seconds inter- mittently.
4.ON : The rear window wiper starts
to operate continuously.
5. : The washer fluid will be sprayed
onto the rear window and the wiper operates while the rear window wiper barrel is placedin this position.

NOTE: Do not operate the washer continu- ously for more than 15 seconds or when the fluid reservoir is empty;this could damage the system. Do not operate the wiper when the win- dow is dry; this can result in scratch-ing as well as premature wiper blade wear. CAUTION:
o Radiator antifreeze (engine cool- ant) should not be used in the washer system because it will damage the car's finish.
o The washer should not be oper- ated if the washer reservoir isempty. This can damage the washer fluid pump.
! G100A04HP-GAT Transmission lubricant in the manual transmission should be checked at those intervals specified in the ve-hicle maintenance schedule in Sec- tion 5.
Recommended Oil Use only HYUNDAI GENUINE PARTS MTF 75W/85 (API GL-4) in the manual transmission. Drain plug
G090A02HP-AAT The washer fluid reservoir supplies fluid to the windshield washer sys- tem. A good quality washer fluid should be used to fill the washer reservoir. The fluid level should be checked morefrequently during inclement weather or whenever the washer system is in more frequent use. The capacity of the washer reservoir is 4.5 liters. HHP5017

The hazard warning system should be used whenever it becomes necessary to stop the car in a hazardous location. The hazard warning system is oper-ated by depressing the switch at which time all turn signal lights will flash simultaneously and the turn signalwarning lights located within the instru- ment cluster will flash simultaneously. To operate the heated front/rear window depress the switch shown. The heated front/rear window will automatically turn off after 20 minutes or when the ignitionis turned off. The system may be turned off manu- ally by depressing the switch again.

The level of windscreen washer fluid available should be checked on a daily basis. The level of fluid will be visiblethrough the side of the reservoir. When the fluid is to be replenished, only a proprietary screen wash additive shouldbe used and in the concentration rec- ommended by the manufacturer. The windscreen washer reservoir has atotal capacity of 4.5 litres.

To install the wiper blade
1. Put a new wiper blade onto the wiper arm and lower the wiper blade at the level of the wiper arm asshown in the drawing. HHR5050
2. Pull up the wiper blade until you
hear an audible "click" to engage inthe end of the wiper arm.
NOTE: Do not allow the wiper arm to fall
