B350B01O-AATWindshield Washer OperationTo use the windshield washer, pull the wiper/
washer lever toward the steering wheel. When
the washer lever is operated, the wipers auto-
matically make two passes across the wind-
shield. The washer continues to operate until
the lever is released.NOTE:o Do not operate the washer more than 15
seconds at a time or when the fluid
reservoir is empty.
o In icy or freezing weather, be sure the
wiper blades are not frozen to the glass
prior to operating the wipers.
o In areas where water freezes in winter,
use windshield washer antifreeze.

B350C01S-AATAdjustable Intermittent Wiper OperationTo use the intermittent wiper feature, place the
wiper switch in the "INT" position. With the
switch in this position, the interval between
wipes can be varied from 2 to 10 seconds by
turning the interval adjuster barrel.

Mist Wiper OperationIf a single wipe is desired in mist, move the
windshield wiper and washer control lever up.

CHANGING THE AIR CLEANER
FILTERG070A01E-AATTo change the filter, unsnap the clips around the
cover. When this is done, the cover can be lifted
off, the old filter removed and the new filter put
in its place. Genuine Hyundai Replacement
Parts are recommended.
CAUTION:
o Operating your vehicle without a proper
air filter in place can result in excessive
engine wear.
o When removing the air cleaner filter, be
careful that dust or dirt does not enter
the air intake. These may result in dam-
age to the air cleaner filter.

WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADESG080A04A-AATThe wiper blades should be carefully inspected
from time to time and cleaned to remove accu-
mulations of road film or other debris. To clean
the wiper blades and arms, use a clean sponge
or cloth with a mild soap or detergent and water.
If the wipers continue to streak or smear the
glass, replace them with Genuine Hyundai
Replacement Parts or their equivalent.

CAUTION:
o Do not operate the wipers on dry glass.
This can result in more rapid wear of the
wiper blades and may scratch the glass.
o Keep the blade rubber out of contact
with petroleum products such as engine
oil, gasoline etc.o When the wiper blade is freezed in winter
or the washer fluid reservoir is empty, the
wiper may not operate for ten minutes.
This isn't a mechanical trouble but the
function protecting the wiper by operat-
ing circuit breaker inside of the wiper
motor.

WARNING:
o Windshield washer fluid agents contain
some amounts of alcohol and can be
flammable under certain circumstances.
Do not allow sparks or flame to contact
the washer fluid or the washer fluid
reservoir. Damage to the vehicle or its
occupants could occur.
o Windshield washer fluid is poisonous to
humans and animals. Do not drink wind-
shield washer fluid. Serious injury or
death could occur.
