Driving force distribution (4WD)
This mode displays information relat-
ed to 4WD driving force.
If the vehicle is in 4WD lock state,
this mode is not displayed.
For detailed information, refer to
the "Four Wheel Drive (4WD)" in
chapter 5.Warning message
If one of followings occurs, warning
messages will be displayed in the
information mode for several seconds.
- Low washer fluid (if equipped)
- Exterior lamp malfunction
(if equipped)
- Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) system malfunction

If the message is displayed con-
tinuously after adding the engine
oil and travelling approximately 30
~ 60 miles (50~100 km) after the
engine warms up, we recommend
that the system be checked by a
HYUNDAI authorised repairer.
Even if this message is not dis-
played after the engine has start-
ed, the engine oil level should be
periodically checked and topped
up if required.
Information
If you travel approximately 50 km ~
100 km after the engine warms up,
after adding the engine oil, the warn-
ing message will be disappeared.
Check HBA (High Beam Assist)system (if equipped)
This warning message is displayed if
there is a problem with the High
Beam Assist (HBA) System. We rec-
ommend that you have the vehicle
inspected by a HYUNDAI authorised
repairer.

Check FCA (Forward CollisionAvoidance Asst.) (if equipped)
This warning message is displayed if
there is a malfunction with the
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
(FCA) system. We recommend that

This warning message is displayed if

This warning message is displayed if

Turn Signal IndicatorLight
This indicator light blinks:
• When you turn the turn signal light
on.
If any of the following occurs, there
may a malfunction with the turn signal
system. In this case, we recommend
that you have the vehicle inspected by
a HYUNDAI authorised repairer. - The indicator light does not blinkbut illuminates.
- The indicator light blinks more rapidly.
- The indicator light does not illumi- nate at all.
Low Beam IndicatorLight (if equipped)
This indicator light illuminates:
• When the headlights are on.
High Beam IndicatorLight
This indicator light illuminates:
• When the headlights are on and in
the high beam position
• When the turn signal lever is pulled into the Flash-to-Pass position.
High Beam Assist(HBA) indicator light (if equipped)
This warning light illuminates:
• When the high-beam is on with the
light switch in the AUTO light posi-
tion.
• If your vehicle detects oncoming or preceding vehicles, the High Beam
Assist (HBA) system will switch the
high beam to low beam automati-
cally.

Parking lamp position ( )
The parking lamp, license plate lamp
and instrument panel lamp are turned
ON.
Headlamp position ( )
The headlamp, parking lamp, license
plate lamp and instrument panel
lamp are turned ON.
Information
The ignition switch button must be in
the ON position to turn on the head-
lamp.
High beam operation
To turn on the high beam headlamp,
push the lever away from you. The
lever will return to its original position.
The high beam indicator will light
when the headlamp high beams are
switched on.
To turn off the high beam headlamp,
pull the lever towards you. The low
beams will turn on.

Do not use high beam when there
are other vehicles approaching
you. Using high beam could
obstruct the other driver's vision.

To flash the high beam headlamp,
pull the lever towards you, then
release the lever. The high beams
will remain ON as long as you hold
the lever towards you.
High Beam Assist (HBA) system (if equipped)
High Beam Assist (HBA) is a system
that automatically adjusts the head-
lamp range (switches between high
beam and low beam) according to
the brightness of other vehicles and
road conditions.
Operating condition
1. Place the light switch in the AUTO position.
2. Turn on the high beam by pushing the lever away from you.
3. The High Beam Assist (HBA) ( ) indicator will illuminate. 4.The High Beam Assist (HBA) will
turn on when vehicle speed is
above 25mph (40km/h).
1) If the light switch is pushed away when the High Beam Assist
(HBA) is operating, the High
Beam Assist (HBA) will turn off
and the high beam will be on
continuously.
2) If the light switch is pulled towards you when the high
beam is off, the high beam will
turn on without the High Beam
Assist (HBA) cancelled. When
you let go of the light switch, the
lever will move to the middle and
the high beam will turn off.
3) If the light switch is pulled towards you when the high
beam is on by the High Beam
Assist (HBA), the low beam will
be on and the High Beam Assist
(HBA) will turn off.
4) If the light switch is placed to the headlamp position, the High
Beam Assist (HBA) will turn off
and the low beam will be on
continuously.

When the High Beam Assist (HBA) is
operating, the high beam switches to
low beam in the following conditions.
- When the headlamp of an on-com-ing vehicle is detected.
- When the tail lamp of a vehicle in front is detected.
- When headlamp/tail lamp of bicy- cle/motorcycle is detected.
- When the surroundings are bright enough high beams are not needed.
- When streetlights or other lights are detected.
- When the light switch is not in the AUTO position.
- When the High Beam Assist (HBA) is off.
- When vehicle speed is below 19 mph (30 km/h).Warning light and message
When the High Beam Assist (HBA) is
not working properly, the warning
message will come on for a few sec-
ond. After the message disappears,
the master warning light ( ) will illu-
minate.
We recommend that you take your
vehicle to a HYUNDAI authorised
repairer and have the system
checked.

normally in the following condi-
tions.

When the light from on-com- ing or vehicle in front is dim
• When the in light from the on-
coming or vehicle in front in is
not detected because of lamp
damage, hidden from sight,
etc.
• When the lamp of the on-com-
ing or vehicle in front is cov-
ered with dust, snow or water.
• When the vehicle in front’s
headlamps are off but the fog
lamps on and etc.

When it is affected by an external condition
• When there is a similar
shaped lamp with the vehicle
front vehicle’s lamps.
• When the headlamp is not
repaired or replaced at a
HYUNDAI authorised repairer.
• When headlamp aiming is not
properly adjusted.
• When driving on a narrow
winding road or rough road.
• When driving downhill or
uphill.
• When only part of the vehicle
in front is visible on a cross-
road or on a corner.
• When there is a traffic light,
reflecting sign, flashing sign
or mirror.
• When the road conditions are
bad such as being wet or cov-
ered with snow.

When the Lane Keeping Assist
(LKA) system warning light illu-

•When the lamp of the on-com-
ing or vehicle in front is cov-
ered with dust, snow or water.
•When the light from the on-
coming or vehicle in front is not
detected because of exhaust
fume, smoke, fog, snow, etc.
•When the front window is cov-
ered with foreign matter.
•When it is hard to see because
of fog, heavy rain or snow etc.
• Do not disassemble a front
view camera temporarily for
tinted window or attaching
any types of coatings and
accessories. If you disassem-
ble the camera and assemble
it again, we recommend that
you take your vehicle to a
HYUNDAI authorised repairer
and have the system checked
to need a calibration.
• When you replace or reinstall
the windscreen glass, front
view camera, we recommend
that you take your vehicle to a
HYUNDAI authorised repairer
and have the system checked.
• Be careful that water doesn’t
get into the High Beam Assist
(HBA) unit and do not remove
or damage related parts of the
High Beam Assist (HBA) sys-
tem.

Turn signals and lane changesignals
To signal a turn, push down on the
lever for a left turn or up for a right
turn in position (A). To signal a lane
change, move the turn signal lever
slightly and hold it in position (B).The
lever will return to the OFF position
when released or when the turn is
completed.
If an indicator stays on and does not
flash or if it flashes abnormally, one of
the turn signal bulbs may be burned
out and will require replacement.
One-touch turn signal function
To activate an one-touch turn signal
function, move the turn signal lever
slightly and then release it. The lane
change signals will blink 3, 5 or 7
times.
You can activate/deactivate the One
Touch Turn Signal function or choose
the number of blinking (3, 5, or 7)
from the User Settings Mode on the
LCD display. For more details, refer
to "LCD Display" in this chapter.

•Do not place objects on the
crash pad that reflect light
such as mirrors, white paper,
etc. The system may malfunc-
tion if sunlight is reflected.
•At times, the High Beam Assist
(HBA) may not work properly.
The system is for your conven-
ience only. It is the responsibil-
ity of the driver for safe driving
practices and always check the
road conditions for your safety.
•When the system does not
operate normally, change the
lamp position manually
between the high beam and
low beam.

If the driver gets out of the vehicle
through other doors (except dri-
ver's door), the battery saver func-
tion does not operate and the
headlamp delay function does not
turn off automatically. Therefore, It
causes the battery to be dis-
charged. In this case, make sure to
turn off the lamp before getting out
of the vehicle.
Daytime running light (DRL) (if equipped)
The Daytime Running Lights (DRL)
can make it easier for others to see
the front of your vehicle during the
day, especially after dawn and before
sunset.
The DRL system will turn the dedi-
cated lamp OFF when:
1. The headlights or front fog lights
are in the ON position.
2. The parking switch is in the ON position.
3. The engine is turned off.
Headlight levelling device
Manual type
To adjust the headlight beam level
according to the number of the pas-
sengers and loading weight in the
luggage area, turn the beam levelling
switch.
The higher the number of the switch
position, the lower the headlight
beam level. Always keep the head-
light beam at the proper levelling
position, or headlights may dazzle
other road users.

Listed below are the examples of
proper switch settings. For loading
conditions other than those listed
below, adjust the switch position so
that the beam level may be the near-
est as the condition obtained accord-
ing to the list.Automatic type
It automatically adjusts the headlight
beam level according to the number
of passengers and loading weight in
the luggage area.
And it offers proper headlight beam
under various conditions.
Headlamp washer (if equipped)
Washer fluid will be sprayed on the
headlamps at the same time you
operate the windscreen washer
when:
1. The ignition switch is in the ONposition.
2. The light switch is in the headlamp position (low beam).
Information
• Check the headlamp washers peri-odically to confirm that the washer
fluid is being sprayed properly onto
the headlamp lenses.
• The headlamp washer can be operat- ed 15 minutes after the last operation.
