Left: The mirror will fold.
Right: The mirror will unfold.Centre (AUTO):
The mirrors will fold or unfold auto-
matically as follows:
Without smart key system
- The mirrors will fold or unfold
when the door is locked or
unlocked by the remote key (if
equipped).
With smart key system
- The mirrors will fold or unfold
when the door is locked or
unlocked by the smart key.
- The mirrors will fold or unfold
when the door is locked or
unlocked by the button on the
outside door handle.
- The mirrors will unfold when you
approach the vehicle (all doors
closed and locked) with a smart
key in possession. (if equipped)
- If "Convenience →Welcome mir-
ror/light" is selected in the User
Settings mode on the LCD dis-
play, the mirrors will unfold when
you approach the vehicle (all
doors closed and locked) with a
smart key in possession (if
equipped).The electric type outside rearview
mirrors operate even though the
ignition switch is in the OFF posi-
tion. However, to prevent unnec-
essary battery discharge, do not
adjust the mirrors longer than
necessary whilst the engine is not
running.
Do not fold the electric type out-
side rearview mirrors by hand. It
could cause motor failure.

The ignition switch must be in the ON
position to be able to raise or lower
the windows. Each door has a Power
Window switch to control that door's
window. The driver has a Power
Window Lock switch which can block
the operation of the passenger win-
dows. The power windows will oper-
ate for approximately 30 seconds
after the ignition switch is placed in
the ACC or OFF position. However, if
the front doors are opened, the
Power Windows cannot be operated
even within the 30 second period.Information
• In cold and wet climates, power win-
dows may not work properly due to
freezing conditions.
• Whilst driving with the rear win-
dows down or with the sunroof (if
equipped) opened (or partially
opened), your vehicle may demon-
strate a wind buffeting or pulsation
noise. This noise is normal and can
be reduced or eliminated by taking
the following actions. If the noise
occurs with one or both of the rear
windows down, partially lower both
front windows approximately 2.5
cm. If you experience the noise with
the sunroof open, slightly close the
sunroof.
Window opening and closing
To open:
Press the window switch down to the
first detent position (5). Release the
switch when you want the window to
stop.
To close:
Pull the window switch up to the first
detent position (5). Release the win-
dow switch when you want the win-
dow to stop.

do not extend your head, arms
or body outside the windows
whilst driving.

Information
The automatic reverse feature is only
active when the “Auto Up” feature is
used by fully pulling up the switch to
the second detent.
Do not install any accessories on
the windows. The automatic reverse
feature may not operate.
Power window lock switch
The driver can disable the power
window switches on the rear passen-
gers' doors by pressing the power
window lock switch.When the power window lock switch
is pressed:
The driver's master control can
operate all the power windows.
The front passenger's control can
operate the front passenger's
power window.
The rear passenger's control can-
not operate the rear passengers'
power window.

Make sure body parts or other
objects are safely out of the way
before closing the windows to
avoid injuries or vehicle dam-
age.
Objects less than 4 mm in diam-
eter caught between the win-
dow glass and the upper win-
dow channel may not be detect-
ed by the automatic reverse
window and the window will not
stop and reverse direction.
WARNING
Do not allow children to play
with the power windows. Keep
the driver’s door power window
lock switch in the LOCK posi-
tion. Serious injury or death can
result from unintentional win-
dow operation by a child.

To prevent possible damage to
the power window system, do
not open or close 2 or more win-
dows at the same time. This will
also ensure the longevity of the
fuse.
Never try to operate the main
switch on the driver's door and
the individual door window
switch in opposite directions at
the same time. If this is done, the
window will stop and cannot be
opened or closed.
NOTICE
NEVER leave the keys in your
vehicle with unsupervised
children, when the engine is
running.
NEVER leave any child unat-
tended in the vehicle. Even
very young children may inad-
vertently cause the vehicle to
move, entangle themselves in
the windows, or otherwise
injure themselves or others.
Always double check to make
sure all arms, hands, head
and other obstructions are
safely out of the way before
closing a window.
Do not allow children to play
with the power windows. Keep
the driver’s door power win-
dow lock switch in the LOCK
position (pressed). Serious
injury can result from uninten-
tional window operation by a
child.
Do not extend your head,

If your vehicle is equipped with a
sunroof, you can slide or tilt your
sunroof with the sunroof control lever
located on the overhead console.
The ignition switch must be in the ON
position before you can open or
close the sunroof.
The sunroof can be operated for
approximately 30 seconds after the
ignition key is removed or turned to
the ACC or LOCK position.
However, if the front door is opened,
the sunroof cannot be opened even
within 30 seconds period.
Information
• In cold and wet climates, the sun-
roof may not work properly due to
freezing conditions.
• After washing the vehicle or after
there is rain, be sure to wipe off any
water that is on the sunroof before
operating it.

Never adjust the sunroof or
sunshade whilst driving. This
could result in loss of control
and an accident that may
cause death, serious injury, or
property damage.
Make sure heads, other body
parts or objects are out of the
way before using the sunroof.
Do not extend your head,
arms or body outside the sun-
roof whilst driving, to avoid
serious injury.
Do not leave the engine run-
ning and the key in your vehi-
cle with unsupervised chil-
dren.
Unattended children could
operate the sunroof, which
could result in serious injury.
The panorama sunroof is
made of glass, subject to
break in case of accident.
Passengers without the
appropriate protection (e.g.
seat belt, CRS, etc.) on may
project out through the bro-
ken glasses and get seriously
injured or even result in
death.
Do not sit on the top of the
vehicle. It may cause injuries
or vehicle damage.

Closing the bonnet
1. Before closing the bonnet, check
the following:

2. Return the stay rod to its clip to
prevent it from rattling.
3. Lower the bonnet halfway (lifted
approximately 30cm from the
closed position) and push down to
securely lock in place. Then dou-
ble check to be sure the bonnet is
secure.Before closing the bonnet,
ensure that all obstructions
are removed from the bonnet
opening. Closing the bonnet
with an obstruction present in
the bonnet opening may
result in property damage or
severe personal injury.
Do not leave gloves, rags or
any other combustible materi-
al in the engine compartment.
Doing so may cause a heat-
induced fire.
Do not move the vehicle with
the bonnet raised. The view
will be blocked and the bon-
net could fall or be damaged.WARNING
Always double check to be sure
that the bonnet is firmly latched
before driving away. Check
there is no bonnet open warn-
ing light or message displayed
on the instrument cluster. If the
bonnet is not latched whilst the
vehicle is moving, the chime
will sound to warn the driver the
bonnet is not fully latched.
Driving with the bonnet open
may cause a total loss of visibil-
ity, which can result in an acci-
dent.

Fuel filler door
Opening the fuel filler door
1. Turn off the engine.
2. The vehicle may be unlocked by
any of the following methods:
- Press the door unlock button on
the remote key or smart key.
- Press the central door unlock but-
ton of driver’s door side.
- Pull the inside door handle of dri-
ver’s door.
3. To open the fuel filler door, press
the centre edge of the fuel filler
door.
Information
If the driver's side door lock is not
released, the fuel cover is not open
4. Pull the fuel filler door (1) out to
fully open.
5. To remove the fuel tank cap (2),
turn it anticlockwise. You may hear
a hissing noise as the pressure
inside the tank equalizes.
6. Place the cap on the fuel filler door.
Information
If the fuel filler door does not open
because ice has formed around it, tap
lightly or push on the door to break
the ice and release the door. Do not
pry on the door. If necessary, spray
around the door with an approved de-
icer fluid (do not use radiator anti-
freeze) or move the vehicle to a warm
place and allow the ice to melt.

Closing the fuel filler door
1. To install the fuel tank cap, turn it
clockwise until it “clicks” one time.
2. Close the fuel filler door until it is
latched securely.
Petrol is highly flammable and
explosive. Failure to follow
these guidelines may result in
SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH:
Read and follow all warnings
posted at the service station.
Before refuelling, note the
location of the Emergency
Petrol Shut-Off, if available, at
the service station.
Before touching the fuel noz-
zle, you should eliminate the
potential build-up of static
electricity by touching a metal
part of the vehicle, a safe dis-
tance away from the fuel filler
neck, nozzle, or other gas
source, with your bare hand.
WARNING
Do not use mobile phones
whilst refuelling. Electric cur-
rent and/or electronic interfer-
ence from mobile phones can
potentially ignite fuel vapours
and cause a fire.
Do not get back into a vehicle
once you have begun refu-
elling. You can generate a
build-up of static electricity by
touching, rubbing or sliding
against any item or fabric
capable of producing static
electricity. Static electricity
discharge can ignite fuel
vapours causing a fire. If you
must re-enter the vehicle, you
should once again eliminate
potentially dangerous static
electricity discharge by touch-
ing a metal part of the vehicle,
away from the fuel filler neck,
nozzle or other petrol source,
with your bare hand.When refuelling, always move
the shift lever to the P (Park)
position (for automatic trans-
mission/dual clutch transmis-
sion) or first gear or R
(Reverse, for manual trans-
mission), set the parking
brake, and place the ignition
switch to the LOCK/OFF posi-
tion. Sparks produced by
electrical components related
to the engine can ignite fuel
vapours causing a fire.
When using an approved
portable fuel container, be
sure to place the container on
the ground prior to refuelling.
Static electricity discharge
from the container can ignite
fuel vapours causing a fire.
Once refuelling has begun,
contact between your bare
hand and the vehicle should
be maintained until the filling
is complete.

Non-power tailgate
Opening the tailgate
The tailgate is locked or unlocked
when all doors are locked or
unlocked with the key, remote key,
smart key or central door
lock/unlock switch.
Only the tailgate is unlocked if the
tailgate unlock button on the
remote key, or smart key is
pressed for approximately 1 sec-
ond.
If unlocked, the tailgate can be
opened by pressing the handle and
pulling it up. Once the tailgate is opened and
then closed, the tailgate locks
automatically. (All doors must be
locked.)
Information
In cold and wet climates, door lock
and door mechanisms may not work
properly due to freezing conditions.
Closing the tailgate
Lower and push down the tailgate
firmly. Make sure that the tailgate is
securely latched.

Make sure no objects or people
are near the rear of the vehicle
when opening the tailgate.
WARNING
Make certain that you close the
tailgate before driving your
vehicle. Possible damage may
occur to the tailgate lift cylin-
ders and attaching hardware if
the tailgate is not closed prior
to driving.
