Features of your vehicle
Resetting the sunroof
Whenever the vehicle battery is discon-
nected or discharged, or related fuse is
blown, you must reset your sunroof sys-
tem as follows:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ONposition and close the sunroof com-
pletely.
2. Release the control lever.
3. Pull and hold the control lever down- ward until the sunroof tilts and slightly
moves up and down. Then, release
the lever.
4. Pull and hold the control lever down- ward until the sunroof is operated as
follows;
TILT DOWN → SLIDE OPEN →
SLIDE CLOSE
Then, release the control lever.
When this is complete, the sunroof sys-
tem is reset.

If the sunroof is not reset when the
vehicle battery is disconnected ordischarged, or related fuse isblown, the sunroof may operateimproperly.

Removing the battery
1. Remove the nut (1) and disconnect thebattery cable from the negative termi-
nal of the battery.
2. Remove the nuts (2, 3) and disconnect the battery cable from the positive ter-
minal of the battery.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Reinstall the battery in the reverse order of removal.

Items should be reset after the battery
has been discharged or the battery has
been disconnected.

Watch the battery during charg- ing, and stop or reduce the charg-
ing rate if the battery cells begin
gassing (boiling) violently or if
the temperature of the electrolyte
of any cell exceeds 120°F (49°C).
Wear eye protection when check- ing the battery during charging.
Disconnect the battery charger in the following order.
1. Turn off the battery charger main switch.
2. Unhook the negative clamp from the negative battery terminal.
3. Unhook the positive clamp from the positive battery terminal.
WARNING
Before performing maintenanceor recharging the battery, turn off
all accessories and stop the
engine.
The negative battery cable must be removed first and installed
last when the battery is discon-
nected.
