How to Proceed With Trouble DiagnosisNKS002X3
1. Confirm the symptom or customer complaint.
2. Understand operation description and function description. Refer to LT- 7 8 , "
System Description" .
3. Perform Preliminary Check. Refer to LT- 8 3 , "
Preliminary Check" .
4. Check symptom and repair or replace the cause of malfunction.
5. Does front fog lamp operate normally? If YES, GO TO 6. If NO, GO TO 4.
6. INSPECTION END

CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
1. CHECK FUSES
Check for blown fuses.
Refer to LT- 8 0 , "
Wiring Diagram — F/FOG —" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2.
NG >> If fuse is blown, be sure to eliminate cause of malfunction before installing new fuse. Refer to PG-
3, "POWER SUPPLY ROUTING CIRCUIT" .

2. CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect BCM connector.
3. Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Repair harness or connector.
3. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >> Repair harness or connector.

4. CHECK FRONT FOG LAMP INPUT SIGNAL
With CONSULT-II
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect front fog lamp RH and LH connectors.
3. Select “IPDM E/R” on CONSULT-II, and select “ACTIVE TEST” on “SELECT DIAG MODE” screen.
4. Select “LAMPS” on “SELECT TEST ITEM” screen.
5. Touch “FOG” screen.
6. When front fog lamp is operating, check voltage between front fog lamp RH and LH harness connectors and ground.
Without CONSULT-II
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect front fog lamp RH and LH connectors.
3. Start auto active test. Refer to PG-21, "
Auto Active Test" .
4. When front fog lamp is operating, check voltage between front fog lamp RH and LH harness connectors and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 6.
NG >> GO TO 5.
5. CHECK FRONT FOG LAMP CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.
3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector (A) and front fog lamp (RH and LH) harness connector (B).
OK or NG
OK >> Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to PG-28, "Removal and
Installation of IPDM E/R" .
NG >> Repair harness or connector.

6. CHECK FRONT FOG LAMP GROUND
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check continuity between front fog lamp RH harness connector E102 terminal 2 and ground.
3. Check continuity between front fog lamp LH harness connector E45 terminal 2 and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Check front fog lamp bulbs.
NG >> Repair harness or connector.
Front Fog Lamp Does Not Illuminate (One Side)NKS002X8
1. CHECK BULB
Check bulb of lamp which does not illuminate.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2.
NG >> Replace front fog lamp bulb.
2. CHECK FRONT FOG LAMP CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.
3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector (A) and front fog lamp (RH and LH) harness connector (B).
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Repair harness or connector.
3. CHECK FRONT FOG LAMP GROUND
1. Check continuity between front fog lamp RH harness connector E102 terminal 2 and ground.
2. Check continuity between front fog lamp LH harness connector E45 terminal 2 and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Replace IPDM E/R.
NG >> Repair harness or connector. 2 – Ground : Continuity should exist.

TURN SIGNAL OPERATION
Power is supplied at all times
through 10A fuse [No. 20, located in fuse block (J/B)]
to rear combination lamp control unit terminal 1.
When ignition switch is in ON or START position, power is supplied
through 15A fuse [No. 1, located in fuse block (J/B)]
to BCM (body control module) terminal 38,
through 10A fuse [No. 12, located in fuse block (J/B)]
to combination meter terminal 7.
When ignition switch is in ACC or ON position, power is supplied
through 10A fuse [No. 6, located in fuse block (J/B)]
to BCM terminal 11.
Ground is supplied
to BCM terminals 49 and 52
through grounds M35, M45 and M85,
to rear combination lamp control unit terminal 7
through grounds E21, E50 and E51,
to combination meter terminals 5, 6 and 15
through grounds M35, M45 and M85.
LH Turn Signal Lamp
When the turn signal switch is moved to the left position, BCM output turn signal from BCM terminal 45, inter-
preting it as turn signal is ON.
