• The sliding motor LH is installed with the driver seat control unit.
• The seat is slid forward/backward by changing the rotation direction of sliding motor LH.

1. CHECK FUNCTION
1. Select “SEAT SLIDE” in “Active test” mode with CONSULT-III.
2. Check the sliding motor LH operation.
Is the operation of relevant parts normal?
YES >> INSPECTION END
NO >> Perform diagnosis procedure. Refer to ADP-87, "
DiagnosisProcedure".

1. CHECK SLIDING MOTOR LH POWER SUPPLY
1. Turn the ignition switch ACC.
2. Perform “Active test” (“SEA T SLIDE”) with CONSULT-lll
3. Check voltage between driver s eat control unit harness connec-
tor and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Replace sliding motor LH. (Built in seat slide cushion frame.)
NO >> GO TO 2

SLIDING MOTOR
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect driver seat control unit and sliding motor LH.
3. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con-nector and sliding motor LH harness connector.
4. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con- nector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3
NO >> Repair or replace harness.
3. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to GI-38, "
Intermittent Incident".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Replace driver seat control unit.
NO >> Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.

• The seatback is reclined forward/backward by changing the rotation direction of reclining motor LH.

NO >> GO TO 2

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect driver seat control unit connector and recling motorLH.
3. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con- nector and reclining motor harness connector.
4. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con- nector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3
NO >> Repair or replace harness.
3. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to GI-38, "
Intermittent Incident".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Replace driver seat control unit.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect driver seat control unit and lifting motor (front) con-nectors.
3. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con- nector and lifting motor (front) harness connector.
4. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con- nector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3
NO >> Repair or replace harness.
3. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to GI-38, "

2. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con-
nector and lifting motor (rear) harness connector.
3. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con- nector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3
NO >> Repair or replace harness.

1. CHECK TILT MOTOR HARNESS CONTINUITY
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect automatic drive positioner control unit and tilt motor.
3. Check continuity between automat ic drive positioner control unit
connector M34 (A) terminals 35, 42 and tilt motor connector M86
(B) terminals 1, 5.
4. Check continuity between automat ic drive positioner control unit
connector M34 (A) terminals 35, 42 and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2
NG >> Repair or replace harness.
2. CHECK AUTOMATIC DRIVE POSITION ER CONTROL UNIT OUTPUT SIGNAL
1. Connect the automatic drive positioner control unit connector and tilt motor.
2. Check voltage between automatic drive positioner control unit
connector and ground.
