1.CHECK FUNCTION
With CONSULT-III
Check remote keyless entry receiver "RKE OPE COUN1" in Data Monitor mode with CONSULT-III.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Remote keyless entry receiver is OK.
NO >> Refer to DLK-99, "

1.CHECK REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY RECEIVER OUTPUT SIGNAL
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check remote keyless entry receiver signal with an oscilloscope.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 2
NO >> GO TO 5
2.REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY RECEIV ER VOLTAGE CIRCUIT INSPECTION
Check voltage between remote keyless entry receiver connector M25 terminal 3 and ground using an oscillo-
scope.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3
NO >> GO TO 5
3.REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY RECEIVER 5-VOLT CIRCUIT INSPECTION
Check voltage between remote keyless entry receiver connector
M25 terminal 4 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 4
NO >> GO TO 5
4.REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY RECEI VER GROUND CIRCUIT INSPECTION
Check continuity between remote keyless entry receiver connector
M25 terminal 1 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Replace remote keyless entry receiver. Refer to SEC-
116, "Removal and Installation".
NO >> GO TO 5
5.HARNESS INSPECTION BETWEEN INTE LLIGENT KEY UNIT AND RKE RECEIVER
1. Disconnect remote keyless entry receiver and Intelligent Key unit connectors.
2. Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit connector (A) M70 terminals 8, 9, 21, 30 and remote keyless entry receiver connec-
tor (B) M25 terminals 1, 2, 3, 4.
3. Check continuity between remote keyless entry receiver con- nector (B) M25 terminals 1, 2, 3, 4 and ground.

1.CHECK FUNCTION
With CONSULT-III
Check remote keyless entry receiver "RKE OPE COUN1" in DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT-III.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Intelligent Key is OK.
NO >> Refer to DLK-102, "
Diagnosis Procedure".
Diagnosis ProcedureINFOID:0000000001539011
1.CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY BATTERY
Check by connecting a resistance (approximately 300 Ω) so that the
current value becomes about 10 mA.
Is the measurement value within specification?
YES >> GO TO 2
NO >> Replace Intelligent Key battery.
2.CHECK KEYFOB FUNCTION
Check keyfob function using Remote Keyless Entry Tester J-43241.
Does the test pass?
YES >> Keyfob is OK.
NO >> Replace keyfob. Refer to CONSULT-III Operation Man- ual.

1. REPLACE INTELLIGENT KEY BATTERY
1. Release the lock knob at the back of the Intelligent Key and remove the mechanical key.
