NOTE:Normal (fixed speed) cruise control will not react
to preceding vehicles. Always be aware of the mode
selected.
You can change the mode by using the Cruise Control
buttons. The two control modes function differently.
Always confirm which mode is selected.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Operation
The speed control buttons (located on the right side of the
steering wheel) operates the ACC system.
Adaptive Cruise Control Buttons
1 — NORMAL (FIXED SPEED) CRUISE CONTROL ON/OFF
2 — SET+/ACCEL
3 — RESUME
4 — SET-/DECEL
5 — DISTANCE SETTING — INCREASE
6 — ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) ON/OFF
7 — DISTANCE SETTING — DECREASE
8 — CANCEL

WARNING!
When the ACC system is resumed, the driver must
ensure that there are no pedestrians, vehicles or
objects in the path of the vehicle. Failure to follow
these warnings can result in a collision and death or
serious personal injury.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Menu
The EVIC displays the current ACC system settings. The
EVIC is located in the center of the instrument cluster. The
information it displays depends on ACC system status.
Press the ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) ON/
OFF button (located on the steering wheel) until one of
the following displays in the EVIC:
Adaptive Cruise Control Off
When ACC is deactivated, the display will read “Adap-
tive Cruise Control Off.”Adaptive Cruise Control Ready
When ACC is activated but the vehicle speed setting has
not been selected, the display will read “Adaptive Cruise
Control Ready.”
Press the SET + or the SET- button (located on the steering
wheel) and the following will display in the EVIC:
ACC SET
When ACC is set, the set speed will display in the
instrument cluster.
The ACC screen may display once again if any ACC
activity occurs, which may include any of the following:
•
Distance Setting Change
• System Cancel
• Driver Override
• System Off

PARKVIEW® REAR BACK UP CAMERA —
IF EQUIPPED
Your vehicle may be equipped with the ParkView® Rear
Back Up Camera that allows you to see an on-screen
image of the rear surroundings of your vehicle whenever
the shift lever is put into REVERSE. The image will be
displayed on the Navigation/Multimedia radio display
screen along with a caution note to “check entire sur-
roundings” across the top of the screen. After five sec-
onds this note will disappear. The ParkView® camera is
located on the rear of the vehicle above the rear License
plate.
When the vehicle is shifted out of REVERSE (with camera
delay turned OFF), the rear camera mode is exited and
the navigation or audio screen appears again.When the vehicle is shifted out of REVERSE (with camera
delay turned ON), the rear view image with dynamic
grid lines will be displayed for up to 10 seconds after
shifting out of
REVERSEunless the forward vehicle
speed exceeds 8 mph (13 km/h), the transmission is
shifted into PARKor the ignition is switched to the OFF
position.
When enabled, active guide lines are overlaid on the
image to illustrate the width of the vehicle and its
projected backup path based on the steering wheel
position. The active guide lines will show separate zones
that will help indicate the distance to the rear of the
vehicle while a dashed center-line will indicate the center
of the vehicle to assist with aligning to a hitch/receiver.

ELECTRONIC VEHICLE INFORMATION CENTER
(EVIC)
The Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) fea-
tures a driver-interactive display that is located in the
instrument cluster.This system allows the driver to select a variety of useful
information by pressing the buttons mounted on the
steering wheel. The EVIC consists of the following:

The system allows the driver to select information by
pressing the following buttons mounted on the steering
wheel:•
UP Arrow Button
Press and release the UP arrow button to scroll
upward through the main menu and sub-
menus (Fuel Economy, Trip A, Trip B, Audio,
Stored Messages, Screen Set Up).
• DOWN Arrow Button
Press and release the DOWN arrow button to
scroll downward through the main menu and
sub-menus (Fuel Economy, Trip A, Trip B,
Audio, Stored Messages, Screen Set Up).
• RIGHT Arrow Button
Press and release the RIGHT arrow button to
access the information screens or sub-menu
screens of a main menu item.

Battery Saver Mode/Battery Saver On Message —
If Equipped
When theBattery Saver Mode or “Battery Saver On
message is displayed, the vehicle will turn off certain
electrical functions to reduce battery energy consump-
tion. This will occur during periods when the battery is
not being adequately charged. During this time, the
following features (if equipped) may be turned off or will
operate at a reduced power level: heated seats and heated
steering wheel, heated or cooled cup-holder, rear de-
froster and heated mirrors, heating and air conditioning,
power inverter, audio and telematics system.
This condition is temporary and recoverable, this is for
driver information only.
EVIC Amber Telltales
This area will show reconfigurable amber caution tell-
tales. These telltales include:
• Low Fuel Telltale
When the fuel level reaches approximately 3.0 gal
(11.0 L) this light will turn on, and remain on until
fuel is added.
• Windshield Washer Fluid Low Indicator
This telltale will turn on to indicate the wind-
shield washer fluid is low.
• Low Coolant Level Indicator
This telltale will turn on to indicate the vehicle
coolant level is low.

Launch Mode – If Equipped
This system maximizes acceleration traction for straight
line racing.
1. Bring vehicle to complete stop on a level track surfacewith the engine running.
2. Set the steering wheel for straight ahead driving.
3. Fully press the brake pedal.
4. Press and release the “LAUNCH” Button.
5. Press the accelerator pedal to the floor.
NOTE: If the cluster launch EVIC message indicates all
conditions are correct for launch and the throttle is
pressed to the floor quickly (within approximately
1/2 second) the system will hold the engine speed to a
preset speed (below the engine rev limiter speed).
6. Release the brake pedal. Pressing the launch control button when launch control is
active will deactivate launch control.
NOTE:
•
Launch Mode brings the engine to optimum RPM and
waits for the driver to release the brake. Launch Mode
then uses engine throttle only to achieve controlled
wheelslip for maximum acceleration through first
gear.
• Launch Mode can be initiated in any of the Select Trac
Modes.
• Launch Mode is not available until the 500 mile
break-in has been achieved.

trol (ACC)” in “Understanding The Features Of Your
Vehicle”.
•Forward Collision Warning (FCW) — Active Braking
The FCW system includes Advanced Brake Assist (ABA).
When this feature is selected, the ABA applies additional
brake pressure when the driver requests insufficient
brake pressure to avoid a potential frontal collision. The
ABA system becomes active at 5 mph (8 km/h). To make
your selection, touch the “Forward Collision Warning
(FCW) with Mitigation - Active Braking” soft-key, until a
check-mark appears next to setting, indicating that the
setting had been selected. Touch the back arrow soft-key
to return to the previous menu. For further information,
refer to “Forward Collision Warning (FCW) With Mitiga-
tion” in “Understanding The Features Of Your Vehicle.” •
Lane Departure Warning (LDW) — If Equipped
The Lane Departure Warning (LDW) sets the distance at
which the steering wheel will provide feedback for
potential lane departures. The LDW sensitivity can be set
to provide either an early, medium or late warning zone
start point. To make your selection, touch the “Lane
Departure Warning” soft-key, until a check-mark appears
next to setting, indicating that the setting had been
selected. Touch the back arrow soft-key to return to the
previous menu.
• Lane Departure Warning (LDW) Strength —
If Equipped
When this feature is selected, it sets the strength of the
steering wheel feedback for potential lane departures.
The amount of directional torque the steering system can
apply to the steering wheel to correct for vehicle lane

is MEDIUM. To make your selection, touch the
“ParkSense® Rear Chime Volume” soft-key, until a
check-mark appears next to setting, indicating that the
setting had been selected. Touch the back arrow soft-key
to return to the previous menu. ParkSense® will retain its
last known configuration state through ignition cycles.
•ParkSense® Park Assist Braking
When this feature is selected, the park assist system will
detect objects located behind the vehicle and utilize
autonomous braking to stop the vehicle. To make your
selection, touch the “ParkSense® Park Assist Braking”
soft-key, until a check-mark appears next to setting,
indicating that the setting had been selected. Touch the
back arrow soft-key to return to the previous menu. Refer
to “ParkSense® Rear Park Assist” in “Understanding The
Features Of Your Vehicle” for system function and oper-
ating information. •
Tilt Mirrors In Reverse
When this feature is selected, the exterior sideview mirrors
will tilt downward when the ignition is in the RUN
position and the transmission shift lever is in the REVERSE
position. The mirrors will move back to their previous
position when the transmission is shifted out of REVERSE.
To make your selection, touch the “Tilt Mirrors In Reverse”
soft-key, until a check-mark appears next to setting, indi-
cating that the setting had been selected. Touch the back
arrow soft-key to return to the previous menu.
•Paddle Shifting
Selecting this feature enables the use of steering wheel
paddle switches for shifting in manual mode. To make
your selection, touch the “Paddle Shifting” soft-key, until
a check-mark appears next to setting, indicating that the
setting had been selected. Touch the back arrow soft-key
to return to the previous menu.
