Electronic Stability Control (ESC)†5
The ESC system is designed to help stabilize the vehicle during certain cornering maneuvers. It is a good idea to keep the ESC turned on for daily driving whenever possible.
Press the ESC OFF button B to turn Traction Control OFF/ON. Press again to turn on.
To turn OFF both the Traction Control and Stability Control, press and hold for more than 3 seconds. Press again to turn ON.
Hill-start Assist Control (HAC)†5
HAC helps prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards when accelerating from a stop while on a steep incline. HAC automatically activates whether the ESC is OFF or ON but does NOT activate when the ESC has malfunctioned.

Instrument Cluster Control
With parking lights/headlights ON, press button A (+) or (-) to adjust the brightness of the instrument panel illumination.
REMINDER: The Instrument Cluster Control does not adjust brightness on the audio head unit screens. Use the display set tings in the Setup menu to adjust the brightness on the screen.

To help minimize driver distraction, some audio system functionalities have been modified while the vehicle is in Drive, Reverse or moved out of Park

Sound Settings: To adjust the sound settings:
1. Press the SETUP key on the Infotainment System or the onscreen MENU button, when in MEDIA mode. Select the onscreen SOUND button, or SOUND SETTINGS
2.
Select the menu item (Position, Volume, Tone, Priority, Advanced, Default, FM Radio Noise Cancel*)
3.
Use the onscreen buttons to adjust settings. Press the return button to save settings
Presets: Press the STAR button next to or below the Radio Station display. This saves the current station as a preset.
Custom Key H: To program the Custom Key, press and hold the Custom key, then select one of the available features you would like the Custom key to open.
Software updates - To keep your software up to date, Kia provided over-the-air updates, free of charge. You can also snap the QR code to watch the video, or visit the official Kia update webpage at https://update.kia.com. Note, visiting a dealer for software update may include an additional charge.

When switching bet ween audio modes (AM, FM, Bluetooth® Audio, etc.), the audio system saves the previous volume level you were listening to. For example, if you were listening to FM radio at volume level 20 then switched to Bluetooth® Audio and adjusted the volume level to 30, the volume level will be at 20 when you switch back to FM radio
-When using Bluetooth® Audio, the overall volume is dependent on your device’s volume. If the volume is turned down low on your device it will remain low even if the system volume is turned up

However, if you have an emergency while the vehicle is in motion and must turn the engine off, you can turn the engine off to the ACC position by pressing the Start/Stop button for more than 3 seconds or 3 times in succession. If the vehicle is still moving, you can restart the engine by pressing the Start/Stop button with the shift lever in Neutral (N). With the engine off, hydraulic power assist for steering and braking will be disabled and the vehicle will be more difficult to control.17. Front Seat Headrest Adjustment: Never attempt to adjust headrests when vehicle is in motion.18. Navigation: Distracted driving can result in a loss of vehicle control.
