Automatic Door Lock/Unlock
Auto Door Lock/Unlock will engage when the gear shift is moved into or out of the P (Park) position Refer to the User Settings on how to turn Auto Door Lock/Unlock on or off

Heated Outside Mirrors*
Mirror heaters automatically turn ON/OFF at the same time the Rear Window Defroster is turned on or off The Rear Window Defroster button* is
located on climate control system panel

(Driver ’s Door)
Button configuration may var y depending on vehicle model
REMINDERS:
•
When but ton C is pressed, the rear window controls for the Rear Passenger Windows are disabled
•When closing, be mindful of any objects or persons
D Press the L or R buttons to select the mirror to adjust
E Press button arrows left/right or up/down to adjust mirror position
F Toggle button to unfold/fold the outside rearview mirrors Toggle button
to automatically fold/unfold mirrors when:
– Smart Key* lock/unlock buttons are pressed
– Outside door handle button is pressed
– Driver approaches the vehicle with the Smart Key*
REMINDERS:
•
When mirror but ton F is depressed, press the Lock but ton on the Smar t Key to automatically fold the mirrors
•To lock position of mirrors, toggle switch to the left position
•
The mirrors will automatically unfold when the Smar t Key* is within close proximit y to the vehicle (if activated in User Set tings)

Manual Folding Mirrors*
To fold the mirrors in manually, pull the mirror towards the window
Refer to section 4 in the Owner ’s Manual for more information
•Press but ton A again to stop Auto Up/Down function
•While driving with the rear windows down or with the sunroof* in an open or par tially open position, a wind buffeting or pulsation noise may be heard This noise is a normal occurrence and can be reduced or eliminated by the following:
– If the noise occurs with one or both of the rear windows down, par tially lower both front windows approximately 1 inch
– If the noise occurs with the sunroof open, slightly reduce the size of the sunroof opening

If needed, pull the mirror firmly until it folds

Headlights & High BeamsHigh Beam Assist (HBA)*
To operate:
•Rotate switch to change the Headlight function
•Push lever to turn High Beams on
•Pull lever to flash Headlights/High Beams
AUTO Light — When the light switch is in the AUTO Light position, the tail lights and head-lights will turn on or off automatically depending on the amount of light outside the vehicle
Daytime Running Lights (DRL)* — DRL may help others to see the front of your vehicle during the day The lights will be on automatically when the ignition or Engine Start/Stop button is on and the headlight switch is in the AUTO position, unless one of the following occurs:
• Headlights are on
• Parking brake is applied
• Engine is turned off
• Switch is in the DRL OFF position

Turn Signals & Fog Lights*
To operate:
•Turn Signals - Move lever Up/Down for Right/Left Turn Signal
•Slightly move lever up/down to activate One-Touch Lane Change Signal
•Fog Lights - Press switch A up/down to turn Fog Lights on/off
REMINDER: Headlights must be ON for Fog Light operation
One-Touch Lane Change Signal is activated by briefly pressing the Turn Signal lever up/down slightly for less than 1 second and then releasing The lane change signal will blink 3-7 times
To change how many times the Lane Change Signal blinks (3/5/7), go to User Settings Mode in the LCD Instrument Cluster and select Lights, then One-Touch Turn Signal One-Touch Lane Change Signal is located in
some models in the audio head unit -> Vehicles Settings -> Lights Menu

High Beam Assist (HBA) Video

High Beam Assist is designed to automatically adjust the headlight range by switching between high and low beams based on light detected from other vehicles and road conditions To enable HBA , toggle the light switch to the AUTO Light position and turn on the high beams by pushing the lever away from you The High Beam Assist indicator will illuminate
REMINDERS:
•
High Beam Assist does not operate below cer tain speeds, or in some lighting and driving conditions Please be aware of your surroundings and exercise proper road etiquet te when operating a vehicle using the high beams
•HBA will operate when vehicle speed exceeds 25 mph
•
If the lever is pushed away from you while HBA is operational, HBA will turn off and the high beams will be on continuously If the lever is pulled toward you while HBA is operational, HBA will turn off
•
If the light switch is switched to the headlight position, HBA will turn off and low beams will be on continuously

To adjust the Steering Wheel, push down the Lock-Release Lever A and adjust to desired angle B and distance C
When finished, pull up the Lock-Release Lever A to lock Steering Wheel in place

Do not adjust the steering wheel while driving as this may cause you to lose control of the vehicle

Follow these steps to activate your Kia Connect system:
1 Enter the activation screen on your vehicle’s head unit:
a Press SETUP key b Press Kia Connect icon c Press Activate
2 Read and agree to Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and press SUBMIT
3 Enter smartphone number or email address to receive a verification code, then press SUBMIT
4 Follow these steps to receive your verification code using your phone text message or email:
a Check your phone text message or email for verification codeb Open the link in your text message or email A page will open requesting that you create your account
N o t e : If you already have a Kia Owners Portal account using the email or phone number as your login ID, you will need to provide your password prior to receiving the verification code
REMINDER: This vehicle is not equipped with over-the-air system updates
c Enter your first name, last name, email, phone number, an account password, and click CREATE ACCOUNT A page will open displaying your verification code
d Enter the code in the head unit and press ACTIVATE
e Go back to the page with your verification code and press “I have entered my verification code ” A link will be provided to download the Kia Access app from your app store After installing the app, log in and enjoy
