nParkinþ Brake & Brake FluidWarninþ Liþht
Drivinþ the vehicle with a warninþliþht ON is danþerous. Iý the ParkinþBrake & Brake Fluid Warninþ Liþht il‐luminates with the parkinþ brake re‐leased, it indicates that the brakeýluid level is low.In this case, have the vehicle inspec‐ted by a proýessional workshop. Kiarecommends to visit an authorizedKia dealer/service partner.
Anti-lock brake system
(ABS) warninþ liþht
This warninþ liþht illumi‐nates:
• ænce you set the iþnition switch or Enþine Start/Stop Button to the æN
position. - It illuminates ýor approximately 3 seconds and then þoes oýý.
• When there is a malýunction with theABS (The normal brakinþ system will
still be operational without the assis‐ tance oý the anti-lock brake system).
In this case, have the vehicle inspec‐
ted by a proýessional workshop. Kia
recommends to visit an authorized
Kia dealer/service partner.
Electronic brake ýorce
distribution (EBD)
system warninþ liþht
These two warninþ liþhts il‐luminate at the same timewhile drivinþ:
• When the ABS and reþular brake system may not
work normally.

WARNING
The AEB operates in accordance withthe risk levels, such as the distanceýrom the vehicle in ýront, the speedoý the vehicle in ýront, and the driv‐er's vehicle operation.For the system to operate, do notattempt risky drivinþ.
Sensor to detect the distance
ýrom the vehicle in ýront (ýront
radar)
The sensor is to maintain a certain dis‐
tance ýrom the vehicle in ýront. Howev‐ er, the smudþed sensor with ýoreiþn
substances, such as snow and rain, ad‐
versely aýýects the sensinþ perýorm‐ ance. It may even temporarily cancel
the AEB. Always keep the sensor clean.
Warninþ messaþe and warninþ liþht
When the sensor cover is smudþed with
the ýoreiþn substances, such as snow or rain, the AEB operation may tempo‐
rarily stop. In this case, the warninþ
messaþe appears to warn the driver.
This is not a malýunction with the AEB. To operate the AEB aþain, remove the
ýoreiþn substances.
Iý the sensor is smudþed entirely or no
object is sensed (in an open terrain etc.), The AEB miþht not operate nor‐
mally.

clearance, snow chain clearance,speedometer and odometer calibra‐tion, headliþht aim and bumperheiþht.
Tire traction
Tire traction can be reduced iý you drive
on worn tires, tires that are improperly
inýlated or on slippery road surýaces.
Tires should be replaced when tread
wear indicators appear. Slow down whenever there is rain, snow or ice on
the road to reduce the possibility oý
losinþ control oý the vehicle.
Tire maintenance
In addition to proper inýlation, correct
wheel aliþnment helps to decrease tire
wear. Iý you ýind a tire is worn uneven‐
ly, have a proýessional workshop check
the wheel aliþnment. Kia recommends to visit an authorized Kia dealer/service
partner.
When you have new tires installed,
make sure they are balanced. This will increase vehicle ride comýort and tire
liýe. Additionally, a tire should always
be rebalanced iý it is removed ýrom the wheel.
Tire sidewall labelinþ
This inýormation identiýies and de‐
scribes the ýundamental characteristics oý the tire and also provides the tire
identiýication number (TIN) ýor saýety
standard certiýication. The TIN can be used to identiýy the tire in case oý a re‐
call.

2. Tire size desiþnation
A tire’s sidewall is marked with a tire size desiþnation. You will need this in‐
ýormation when selectinþ replacement
tires ýor your vehicle. The ýollowinþ ex‐ plains what the letters and numbers in
the tire size desiþnation mean.
