the head up display settings as fol-
lows.

Traffic change (for Europe)
Use this function when you visit a
country with opposite traffic direction.
If the traffic change is activated when
you visit a country with opposite traf-fic direction, it will decrease the daz-
zle on oncoming vehicle drivers.
Follow the below procedure.
1. Select “User Settings” by pressingthe mode button ( ) on the steer- ing wheel.
2. Select “Lamp” by pressing the move button ( ) and select but-
ton ( ) on the steering wheel.
3. Select “Travel Mode” by pressing the move button ( ) and select
button ( ) on the
steering wheel.
4. change function.
Select "Off" to deacticate the traf- fic change function.✽✽ NOTICE
If the engine is turned off with the
traffic change function activated,
and the engine turned on again, a
message "Headlamp beam pattern
set to opposite side range has been
reduced" will appear. It is to notify
the driver the function is activated.Lighting control
The light switch has a Headlight and
a Parking light position.
To operate the lights, turn the knob at
the end of the control lever to one of
the following positions: (1) OFF position
(2) Auto light / AFLS position
(3) Parking light position(4) Headlight position

Windshield wipers
Operates as follows when the igni-
tion switch is turned ON.
MIST : For a single wiping cycle,
push the lever upward and
release it with the lever in the
OFF position. The wipers will
operate continuously if the
lever is pushed upward andheld.
OFF : Wiper is not in operation
AUTO : Auto control wipe
LO : Normal wiper speed
HI : Fast wiper speed✽✽ NOTICE
If there is heavy accumulation of
snow or ice on the windshield,
defrost the windshield for about 10
minutes, or until the snow and/or ice
is removed before using the wind-
shield wipers to ensure proper oper-
ation. If you do not remove the snow
and/or ice before using the wiper
and wash-er, it may damage the
Wiper and washer system. Auto control (if equipped)
The rain sensor located on the upper end of the windshield glass senses
the amount of rainfall and controls
the wiping cycle for the proper inter-
val. The more it rains, the faster the
wiper operates. When the rain stops,
the wiper stops.
To vary the speed setting, turn the speed control knob (1).
If the wiper switch is set in AUTO
mode when the ignition switch is ON,
the wiper will operate once to per-
form a self-check of the system. Setthe wiper to OFF position when the
wiper is not in use.

Automatic heating and air con- ditioning
1. Press the AUTO button.
The modes, fan speeds, air intake and air-conditioning will be controlledautomatically according to the tem-
perature setting.2. Press the TEMP button to set the
desired temperature.
✽✽ NOTICE
To turn the automatic operation off, select any button of the following:
- Mode selection button
- Front windshield defrost button
- Fan speed control button
The selected function will be con-
trolled manually while other func-
tions operate automatically.
For your convenience and to improve the effectiveness of the
climate control, use the AUTO
button and set the temperature to
23°C (73°F). ✽

Never place anything over the sen-
sor located on the instrument panel
to ensure better control of the heat-

Temperature control
The temperature will increase to the
maximum (HI) by pushing the up ( )
button (for front) or turn the knob to the
right (for rear).The temperature will decrease to the
minimum (Lo) by pushing the down
( ) button (for front) or turn the knob
to the left (for rear).
When pushing the button (for front)
or turning the knob (for rear), the
temperature will increase or
decrease by 0.5°C/1°F. When set to
the lowest temperature setting, the
air conditioning will operate continu-
ously.
Adjusting the driver, passenger and
rear side temperature individually
(3ZONE temperature control)
Press the 3ZONE button to oper-ate the driver, passenger and rear
side temperature individually.
Pressing the passenger side tem- perature control button will auto-
matically switch to the 3ZONE
mode as well. At this time, rear side
temperature will be set to the same
temperature as the driver side.

Turning the rear temperature con-
trol knob will automatically switch
to the 3ZONE mode as well. At this
time, passenger side temperature
will be set to the same temperature
as the driver side.
When the driver side temperature is
set to the highest (HI) or lowest (Lo)
temperature setting, the 3ZONE
mode is deactivated for maximumheating or cooling. Adjusting the driver, passenger and
rear side temperature equally
1. Press the 3ZONE button again to
deactivate 3ZONE mode. The pas-
senger and rear side temperature
will be set to the same temperature
as the driver side temperature.
2. Press the driver side temperature control button. The driver, passen-
ger and rear side temperature will
be adjusted equally.
Temperature conversion
If the battery has been discharged or
disconnected, the temperature mode
display will reset to Centigrade.
This is a normal condition. You can
switch the temperature mode between
Centigrade to Fahrenheit as follows;
While pressing the OFF button,
depress the AUTO button for 3 sec-
onds or more. The display will change
from Centigrade to Fahrenheit, or
from Fahrenheit to Centigrade.Air intake control
This is used to select the outside (fresh) air position or recirculated airposition.
To change the air intake control posi-
tion, push the control button.

Climate information screen selec-
tion button
To change the screen into the cli-
mate information screen, push the
button.
Rear control lock
You can activate or deactivate the rear seat control, rear audio control
and climate control by using the
REAR LOCK button on the rear arm-
rest or “System Settings” in the AVN
(Audio, Video, and Navigation).
Detailed information for the “System
Settings” is described in a separately
supplied manual.
If the rear control button has deacti-
vated through AVN, you can reacti-
vate the rear control button only
through AVN. System operation
Ventilation
1. Set the mode to the position.
2. Set the air intake control to the
outside (fresh) air position.
3. Set the temperature control to the desired position.
4. Set the fan speed control to the desired speed.
Heating
1. Set the mode to the position.
2. Set the air intake control to theoutside (fresh) air position.
3. Set the temperature control to the desired position.
4. Set the fan speed control to the desired speed.
5. If dehumidified heating is desired, turn the air conditioning system (if equipped) on.
If the windshield fogs up, set the mode to the or press the front

During mild weather or under condi-
tions where the operation of the seat
warmer is not needed, keep the
switches in the "OFF" position.
Each time you press the switch,
the temperature setting of the seat
will change as follows :
When pressing the switch for more than 1.5 seconds with the seat
warmer operating, the seat warmer
will turn OFF.
The seat warmer defaults to the OFF position whenever the engine
start/stop button is turned on. You can activate or deactivate the
rear seat warmer button by using the
REAR LOCK button on the rear arm-
rest or “System Settings” in
AVN(Audio, Video, and Navigation).

Settings” is described in a separate-
ly supplied manual. If the rear seat
warmer button has deactivated
through AVN, you can reactivate the
rear seat warmer button only through
AVN.
✽✽ NOTICE
With the seat warmer switch in ON
position, the heating system in the
seat turns off or on automatically
depending on the seat temperature.
CAUTION - Seat damage
When cleaning the seats, do
not use an organic solventsuch as paint thinner, ben- zene, alcohol and gasoline.Doing so may damage the sur-face of the heater or seats.
To prevent overheating the seat warmer, do not place any-thing on the seats that insu-lates against heat, such asblankets, cushions or seat covers on the seats while theseat warmer is in operation.
Do not place heavy or sharp objects on the seat. Thosethings may damage the seat warmer system.
Be careful not to spill liquid such as water or beverages onthe seat. If you spill some liq-uid, wipe the seat with a dry towel. Before using the seatwarmer, dry the seat com-pletely.
Do not change the seat cover. It may damage the seat warmeror airventilation system.

You can activate or deactivate the
rear air ventilation button by using

armrest or “System Settings” in
AVN(Audio, Video, and Navigation).

rately supplied manual. If the rear
air ventilation button has deactivat-
ed through AVN, you can reactivate
the rear air ventilation button only
through AVN.CAUTION - Air intake
There is an air intake for the rear
air ventilation at the lower partof the rear center seatback. If the air intake is blocked, effi-ciency of the rear air ventilationwill be lower. Be careful not toblock the air intake.
CAUTION - Seat damage

To fold the rear curtain, press the
button. To unfold the rear curtain,
press the button again.
The rear curtain will fold automatical-
ly when you shift the shift lever into R
(Reverse) and unfold automatically
when you shift the shift lever from R
(Reverse) into P (Park).
After the rear curtain is folded by shift-
ing the shift lever into R (Reverse) and
drive more than 20 km/h with the shift
lever in D (Drive), the rear curtain will
unfold automatically.
You can activate or deactivate the
rear curtain button on the rear arm-
rest by using the REAR LOCK button
on the rear armrest or “System
Settings” in AVN(Audio, Video, and
Navigation).

supplied manual.
If the rear curtain button has deacti-
vated through AVN, you can reacti-
vate the rear curtain button only
through AVN. Side curtain (if equipped)
To use the side curtain:
1. Lift the curtain by the hook (1).
2. Hang the curtain on both sides of
the hook.
3. Pull the curtain backward by the hook (2).
4. Hang the curtain on the hook.CAUTION
Do not pull or fold the rear cur- tain by hand. It could causemotor failure.
