Window opening and closing
The driver’s door has a master power
window switch that controls all the
windows in the vehicle. To open or
close a window, press down (
➄) or
pull up (
➄) the front portion of the
corresponding switch. Automatic power window down
(driver’s window, if equipped)
Depressing the power window switch
momentarily to the second detent
position (
\b) completely lowers the
driver’s window even when the
switch is released. To stop the win-
dow at the desired position while the
window is in operation, momentarily
pull the switch in the direction oppo-
site of the window’s movement.
If the battery has been discharged or
disconnected, the automatic power
window system must be reset as fol-
lows:
1. Turn the ignition key to ON posi- tion.
2. Close driver’s window and contin- ue pulling up on driver’s power win-
dow switch for at least 2~3 sec-
onds after the window is complete-
ly closed. Power window lock switch
The driver can disable the power
window switches on a passenger
door by depressing the power win-
dow lock switch located on the dri-
ver’s door to LOCK (pressed).
When the power window lock
switch is ON, the driver’s master
control cannot operate the pas-
senger door power windows
either.

• Use when the engine is running,
and remove a plug from the power
outlet after using the electric
appliance. Using when the engine
stops or remaining the electric
appliance with plugged in for
many hours may cause the battery
to be discharged.
• Only use 12V electric appliances which are less than 10A in electric
capacity.
• Adjust the air-conditioner or heater to the lowest operating level
when you have to use the power
socket.
• Close the cover when not in use.
• Some electronic devices can cause electronic interference when
plugged into a vehicle’s power out-
let. These devices may cause exces-
sive audio static and malfunctions
in other electronic systems or
devices used in your vehicle.
Digital clock
Whenever the battery terminals,
ROOM LP fuse, or Power Connect
are disconnected, you must reset the
time.
When the ignition switch is in the
ACC or ON position, the clock but-
tons operates as follows:
HOUR:
Pressing the “H” button with your
finger, a pencil or similar object will
advance the time displayed by one
hour.
MINUTE: Pressing the “M” button with your
finger, a pencil or similar object will
advance the time displayed by one
minute.

Resetting the sunroof
Whenever the vehicle battery is dis-
connected or discharged, you have
to reset your sunroof system as fol-
lows:
1. Turn the ignition key to the ON
position.
2. According to the position of the sunroof, do as follows.
1) in case that the sunroof hasclosed completely or been tilt-
ed :
Press the TILT UP button until
the sunroof has tilted upward
completely.
2) in case that the sunroof has slide-opened:
Press and hold the CLOSE
button for more than 5 seconds
until the sunroof has closed
completely. Press the TILT UP
button until the sunroof has tilt-
ed upward completely. 3. Release the TILT UP button.
4. Press and hold the TILT UP button
once again until the sunroof has
returned to the original position of
TILT UP after it is raised a little
higher than the maximum TILT UP
position.
When this is complete, the sunroof
system is reset.

1. FM/AM Selection Button
Turns to FM mode and toggles FM1
and FM2 and AM when the button is
pressed each time.
2. SAT Selection Button
Turns to SAT mode, and toggles in
the order of SAT1

➟SAT1➟... when the button is
pressed each time.
3. CD Selection Button
If there is a cd in the CDP DECK it
plays the CD.
Press CD button to automatically
insert CD when the disc is ejected
from the deck by pressing CD
EJECT.
4. AUX Selection Button
If the auxiliary device is connected, it
turns to AUX MODE to play the
sound from the auxiliary player.
If no Disc and auxiliary device is con-
nected, it displays "NO Media" for 5 sec-
onds and returns to the previous mode.
5. Automatic Channel Selection Button
When the [SEEK ] button is
pressed, it reduces the band fre-
quency by 200KHz to automatically
select channel. Stops at the previ-
ous frequency if no channel is
found.

6. Power ON/OFF & Volume Control Button
Turns on/off the set when the IGNI-
TION SWITCH is on ACC or ON. If
the button is turned to the right, it

decreases the volume.
7. SCAN Selection Button
When the button is pressed, it auto-
matically only [SCAN] up. The sound
hearing for 5 seconds per all
searched station preset.
8. MUTE Selection Button
When inputting [MUTE] key, indicate
"AUDIO MUTE" at the some time
with output [MUTE].
9. INFO Selection Button
Displays the information of the chan-
nel currently played by SAT.
10. SET UP Selection Button
Press this button to turn to the
SCROLL, SDVC, SIRIUS and adjust-
ment mode.
If no action is taken for 5 seconds
after pressing the button, it will return
to the play mode. (After entering SET
UP mode, move between items using
the left, right and PUSH functions of
the TUNE button.)
The set up item changes from

• The order of search or playback of songs in the iPod can be different

How to Use SIRIUS Satellite
Radio
Your vehicle is equipped with a 3
month complimentary period of SIR-
IUS Satellite Radio so you have
access to over 130 channels of
music, information, and entertain-
ment programming.
Activation
In order to extend or reactivate your
subscription to SIRIUS Satellite
Radio, you will need to contact SIR-
IUS Customer Care at 888-539-
7474. Have your 12 digit SID
(Sirius Identification Number)/ESN
(Electronic Serial Number) ready. To
retrieve the SID/ESN, turn on the
radio, press the “SAT” button, and
tune to channel zero. Please note
that the vehicle will need to be turned
on, in Sirius mode, and have an
unobstructed view of the sky in order
for the radio to receive the activation
signal.
1. SATELLITE RADIO Selectionbutton (SIRIUS Satellite
Radio)
Press the [SAT] button to switch to
SIRIUS Satellite Radio. It cycles
through the different bands as noted
below.
SAT1➝SAT2➝SAT3➝SAT1
2. Channel Selection Button
When the [SEEK ] button is
pressed, it decreases automatically
select channel.
When the [SEEK ] button is pressed, it increases automatically
select channel.
3. Power ON/OFF button and Volume knob
Turns on/off the radio when the IGNI-
TION SWITCH is on ACC or ON. If
the knob is turned to the right, it
increases the volume; if it is turned to
the left, it decreases the volume.
4. SCAN Selection Button
When the button is pressed, it auto-
matically only scans the radio sta-
tions upwards. The sound hearing for
10 seconds per all searched station
preset.
The SCAN feature steps through
each channel, starting from the initial
channel, for ten seconds.
Press the [SCAN] button again to
stop the scan feature and to listen to
the currently selected channel.
5. MUTE Selection Button
When the [MUTE] key is pressed,
the display will say "AUDIO MUTE"
and the audio will be muted.

6. INFO Selection Button
Displays the information of the chan-
nel currently played by in the order of
CATEGORY NAME
➟ARTIST NAME
➟COMPOSER NAME➟CHANNEL
NAME
➟...(CAT /CH Selection)
Displays the information of the chan-
nel currently played in the order of
SONG TITLE
➟ARTIST NAME➟
COMPOSER NAME ➟... (CH/TITLE
Selection) (If there is no information
of COMPOSER NAME, it returns to
main display.)
7. SETUP Selection Button
Press this button to adjust to the
SCROLL, SDVC, SIRIUS and adjust-
ment modes.
If no action is taken for 5 seconds
after pressing the button, it will return
to the play mode. (After entering SET
UP mode, move between items
using the left, right and PUSH func-
tions of the TUNE button.)
The set up item changes from
SCROLL

8. CAT/FOLDER Button
Press this button to turn to the
Category search mode. Turn the tune
knob to see available categories.
Press the tune button to go to the
desired category.
9. TUNE knob /ENTER Button
Turn this button clockwise by one
notch to increase the channel.
Turn this button counterclockwise by
one notch to decrease the channel.
Press this button while holding SET
UP button to activate / inactivate the
item to.
Select SET UP item using left and
right function of the Tune button.
10. Preset Selection Button
Push [1]~[6] buttons less than 0.8
second to play the channel saved in
each button.
Hold down the preset button for 0.8
second or longer to save current
channel to the respective button with
a beep.
Troubleshooting
1. Antenna Error
If this message is displayed, the
antenna or antenna cable is broken
or unplugged. Please consult with
your Kia dealership.
2. Acquiring Signal
If this message is displayed, it
means that the antenna is covered
and that the SIRIUS Satellite Radio
signal is not available. Ensure the
antenna is uncovered and has a
clear view of the sky.
