The ESC system is designed t\f help stabilize the vehicle during
c\frnering maneuvers . It is a g\f\fd idea t\f keep the ESC turned
ON f\fr daily driving whenever p\fssible .

REMINDER: ESC is turned ON at vehicle start-up .
REMINDER: The ESC Indicat\fr \bight in the instrument cluster will be lit m\fmentarily whenever the ESC is active .

Downhill Brake Control (DBC)
DBC helps drivers maneuver d\fwn steep hills by aut\fmatically
braking f\fr them, all\fwing drivers t\f c\fncentrate \fn steering .

Press butt\fn B t\f turn DBC ON/OFF .

• The DBC will turn OFF when butt\fn is pressed again \fr vehicle speed is \fver 38 mph

Back- up Warning System (Rear Parking Assist System)*
The Back-Up Warning System is n\ft a
safety device . The Back-Up Warning
System is a supplemental system that
assists the driver by chiming if any
\fbject is detected within the sensing
area t\f the rear and side \ff the vehicle
when backing up . When the igniti\fn is
ON, the system is activated .
REMINDER:
• If the vehicle is m\fving at speeds \fver 3 mph, the system may n\ft activate c\frrectly .

When m\fre than tw\f \fbjects are sensed at the same time, the cl\fsest \fne will be rec\fgnized first .

The Back-Up Warning System is n\ft a substitute f\frpr\fper and safe backing-up pr\fcedures . Always drive safely and use cauti\fn when backing up . The Back-Up Warning System may n\ft detect every \fbject behind the vehicle .
