The power outlet is designed to pro-
vide power for mobile telephones or
other devices designed to operate
with vehicle electrical systems. The
devices should draw less than 10
amps with the engine running. • Use the power outlet only when the
engine is running and remove the
accessory plug after use. Using the
accessory plug for prolonged peri-
ods of time with the engine off could
cause the battery to discharge.
• Only use 12V electric accessories which are less than 10A in electric
capacity.
• Adjust the air-conditioner or heater to the lowest operating level when
using the power outlet.
• Close the cover when not in use.
• Some electronic devices can cause electronic interference when
plugged into a vehicle’s power out-
let. These devices may cause
excessive audio static and malfunc-
tions in other electronic systems or
devices used in your vehicle.
• Push the plug in as far as it will go. If good contact is not made, the
plug may overheat and the fuse
may open.
CAUTION- Vanity mirror
lamp
If you use the vanity mirror lamp,turn off the lamp before return-ing the sun visor to its originalposition, otherwise it couldresult in battery discharge andpossible sun visor damage.

• Press the lever upward ( ) toincrease the volume.
• Press the lever downward ( ) to decrease the volume.
SEEK/PRESET ( / ) (2)
The SEEK/PRESET button has dif-
ferent functions based on the system
mode. Press and hold the button for
1 second or more within the following
functions in order to.
RADIO mode
It will function as the AUTO SEEK
select button.
USB/ iPod
®mode
It will function as the FF/REW button.
Press the SEEK/PRESET button for
less than 1 second to. RADIO mode
It will function as the PRESET STA-
TION buttons.
USB/ iPod
®mode
It will function as TRACK UP/DOWN
button.

Press the button to change audio

vehicle or which are not permis-
sible by law should never be
used during operation of the
vehicle.

cables is not recommended.How Vehicle Radio Works
FM reception
AM and FM radio signals are broad-
cast from transmitter towers located
around your city. They are intercept-
ed by the radio antenna on your vehi-
cle. This signal is then processed by
the radio and sent to your vehicle
speakers.
However, in some cases the signal
coming to your vehicle may not be
strong and clear.

• Fading - As your vehicle movesaway from the radio station, the
signal will weaken and sound will
begin to fade. When this occurs,
we suggest that you select another
station with a stronger signal.
• Flutter/Static - Weak FM signals or large obstructions between the
transmitter and your radio can dis-
turb the signal causing static or
fluttering noises to occur. Reducing
the treble level may lessen this
effect until the disturbance clears. • Station Swapping - As an FM sig-
nal weakens, another more power-
ful signal near the same frequency
may begin to play. This is because
your radio is designed to lock onto
the clearest signal. If this occurs,
select another station with a
stronger signal.
• Multi-Path Cancellation - Radio sig- nals being received from several
directions can cause distortion or
fluttering. This can be caused by a
direct and reflected signal from the
same station, or by signals from
two stations with close frequencies.
If this occurs, select another station
until the condition has passed.
Using a cellular phone or a two-
way radio
When a cellular phone is used inside
the vehicle, noise may be produced
from the audio system. This does not
mean that something is wrong with
the audio equipment. In such a case,
try to operate mobile devices as far
from the audio equipment as possible.
When using a communication sys-
tem such as a cellular phone or a
radio set inside the vehicle, a sepa-
rate external antenna must be fitted.
When a cellular phone or a radio set
is used with an internal antenna
alone, it may interfere with the vehi-
cle's electrical system and adversely
affect safe operation of the vehicle.

FCA front view camera sensor
In order for FCA to operate properly,
always make sure the sensor are
clean and free of dirt, snow, and
debris.
Dirt, snow, or foreign substances on
the lens may adversely affect the
sensing performance of the sensor.
✽NOTICE
• Never install any accessories orstickers on the front windshield,
or tint the front windshield.
• Never place any reflective objects (i.e. white paper, mirror) over the
dashboard. Any light reflection
may cause a malfunction of the
system.
• Make sure the frontal camera does not get wet.
• Never disassemble the camera assembly, or apply any impact on
the camera assembly.
• Playing the vehicle audio system at high volume may prevent occu-
pants from hearing FCA warn-
ings.
• Be careful not to apply unneces- sary force on the sensor. If the sen-
sor is forcibly moved out of proper
alignment, the system may not
operate correctly. In this case, a
warning message may not be dis-
played. In this case, we recom-
mend you have the vehicle inspect-
ed by an authorized Kia dealer.
✽NOTICE
We recommend you to have the sys-
tem checked by an authorized Kia
dealer when the windshield glass is
replaced.

- For pedestrians, the vehiclespeed is greater than or equal to
5 mph (8 km/h) and less than 44
mph (70 km/h). (Depending on
the condition of pedestrians and
bike riders and the surrounding
environment the possible maxi-
mum operating speed may be
reduced.)
• FCA controls the brakes within cer- tain limit to release shock from the
collision.
FCA controls the maximum brakes
just before the collision.
- If you select “Warning Only”,FCA activates and produces only
warning alarms in accordance
with the collision risk levels. You
should control the brake directly
because FCA do not control the
brake.Brake operation
• In an urgent situation, the braking system enters into the ready status
for prompt reaction to assist the
driver in depressing the brake
pedal.
• FCA provides additional braking power for optimum braking per-
formance, when the driver
depresses the brake pedal.
• The braking control is automatical- ly deactivated, when the driver
sharply depresses the accelerator
pedal, or when the driver abruptly
operates the steering wheel.
• The braking control is automatical- ly canceled, when risk factors dis-
appear.CAUTION
• The driver should always pay great caution to vehicle opera-tion, even though there is nowarning message or warningalarm.
• If any other warning sound such as seat belt warningchime is already generated,Forward Collision-AvoidanceAssist warning may notsound.
• Excessive audio volume may disturb the sound of the sys-tem warning alarm.
