Heated steering wheel (if
equipped)
When the ignition switch is in the ON
position, pressing the heated steering wheel button warms the steering
wheel. The indicator on the button will
illuminate.
To turn the steering wheel off, press the button once again. The indicator on
the button will turn off.
It will turn off automatically approxi‐
mately 30 minutes after the heated steering wheel is turned on.
If you turn off the ignition within 30
minutes after pressing the steering
wheel heater button, from next ignition ON, the heater will be off.
CAUTION
•Do not install any grip to operatethe steering wheel. This causesdamage to the heated steeringwheel system.
•When cleaning the heated steeringwheel, do not use an organic sol‐vent such as paint thinner, ben‐zene, alcohol and gasoline. Doingso may damage the surface of thesteering wheel.
•If the surface of steering wheel isdamaged by sharp object, damageto the heated steering wheel com‐ponents could occur.
Horn
To sound the horn, press the horn sym‐
bols on your steering wheel. Check the horn regularly to be sure it operates
properly.
NOTICE
To sound the horn, press the area in‐
dicated by the horn symbol on your
steering wheel (see illustration). The
horn will operate only when this
area is pressed.

CAUTION
Do not strike the horn severely tooperate it, or hit it with your fist. Donot press on the horn with a sharp-pointed object.

MIRRORS
Inside rearview mirror
Adjust the rearview mirror to center onthe view through the rear window.
Make this adjustment before you start
driving.
WARNING
nRear visibility
Do not place objects in the rear seator cargo area which would interferewith your vision through the rearwindow.
WARNING
Do not adjust the rearview mirrorwhile the vehicle is moving. Thiscould result in loss of control, and anaccident which could cause death,serious injury or property damage.
WARNING
Do not modify the inside mirror anddo not install a wide mirror. It couldresult in injury, during an accident ordeployment of the air bag.
Day/night rearview mirror (if
equipped)
Make this adjustment before you start
driving and while the day/night lever is in the day position (1). Pull the day/night lever toward you (2)
to reduce the glare from the headlights
of the vehicles behind you during night driving.
Remember that you lose some rear‐
view clarity in the night position.

Electrochromic mirror (ECM) (if
equipped)
The electric rearview mirror automati‐
cally controls the glare from the head‐ lights of the vehicles behind you in
nighttime or low light driving condi‐
tions. The sensor (3) mounted in the mirror senses the light level around the
vehicle, and automatically controls the
headlight glare from the vehicles be‐ hind you.
When the engine is running, the glare is
automatically controlled by the sensor
mounted in the rearview mirror. Whenever the shift lever is shifted into
reverse (R), the mirror will automatical‐
ly go to the brightest setting in order
to improve the drivers view behind the vehicle.
CAUTION
When cleaning the mirror, use a pa‐per towel or similar material damp‐ened with glass cleaner. Do notspray glass cleaner directly on themirror. It may cause the liquid clean‐er to enter the mirror housing.
To operate the electric rearview mirror:
• The mirror defaults to the ON posi‐ tion whenever the ignition switch is
turned on.
• Press the ON/OFF button (1) to turn the automatic dimming function off.
The mirror indicator light (2) will turn
off.
Press the ON/OFF button (1) to turn
the automatic dimming function on.
The mirror indicator light (2) will illu‐ minate.
Outside rearview mirror
Be sure to adjust mirror angles before
driving. Your vehicle is equipped with both left-
hand and right-hand outside rearview
mirrors. The mirrors can be adjusted
remotely with the remote switch. The mirror heads can be folded back to pre‐
vent damage during an automatic car
wash or when passing in a narrow street.
WARNING
nRearview mirrors
•The outside rearview mirror isconvex. Objects seen in the mirrorare closer than they appear.
•Use your interior rearview mirroror direct observation to determinethe actual distance of followingvehicles when changing lanes.
CAUTION
Do not scrape ice off the mirror face;this may damage the surface of theglass. If ice should restrict move‐ment of the mirror, do not force themirror for adjustment. To remove

ice, use a deicer spray, or a spongeor soft cloth with very warm water.
CAUTION
If the mirror is jammed with ice, donot adjust the mirror by force. Usean approved spray de-icer (not radi‐ator antifreeze) to release the fro‐zen mechanism or move the vehicleto a warm place and allow the ice tomelt.
WARNING
Do not adjust or fold the outsiderearview mirrors while the vehicle ismoving. This could result in loss ofcontrol, and an accident which couldcause death, serious injury or prop‐erty damage.
Remote control
Electric type
The electric remote control mirror
switch allows you to adjust the position of the left and right outside rearview
mirrors. To adjust the position of either
mirror, the ignition switch should be in the ACC position.
To adjust the position of either mirror,
press the R or L button (1) to select the
right side mirror or the left side mirror, then press a corresponding point (
)
on the mirror adjustment control to po‐
sition the selected mirror up, down, left or right. After adjustment, press the R or L but‐
ton again to prevent the inadvertent
adjustment.
CAUTION
•The mirrors stop moving whenthey reach the maximum adjustingangles, but the motor continues tooperate while the switch is press‐ed. Do not press the switch longerthan necessary, the motor may bedamaged.
•Do not attempt to adjust the out‐side rearview mirror by hand. Do‐ing so may damage the parts.

Folding the outside rearview mirror
Electric Type (if equipped)
To fold the outside rearview mirror, de‐
press the button.
To unfold it, depress the button again.
CAUTION
The electric type outside rearviewmirror operates even though the ig‐nition switch is in the OFF position.However, to prevent unnecessarybattery discharge, do not adjust themirrors longer than necessary whilethe engine is not running.
CAUTION
In case it is an electric type outsiderearview mirror, don’t fold it byhand. It could cause motor failure.

To fold outside rearview mirror, grasp
the housing of mirror and then fold it toward the rear of the vehicle.
