The location of treadwear indicators
is shown by the “TWI” or “”
marks, etc., molded on the sidewall
of each tire.
Check spare tire condition and pres-
sure if not rotated.
Rotate the tires in the order shown.
To equalize tire wear and help
extend tire life, Lexus recommends
that tire rotation is carried out
approximately every 10000 km
(6000 miles).
Do not fail to initialize the tire pres-
sure warning system after tire rota-
tion.

When trouble arises
When a tire is replaced with a spare tire (vehicles with a compact spare tire and
the tire pressure warning system)
The compact spare tire is not equipped with a tire pressure warning valve and
transmitter. If a tire goes flat, the tire pressure warning light will not turn off even
though the flat tire has been replaced with the spare tire. Replace the spare tire
with the repaired tire and adjust the tire inflation pressure. The tire pressure
warning light will go off after a few minutes.
Conditions that the tire pressure warning system may not function properly (vehi-

If the tire pressure warning light frequently comes on after blinking for 1 minute
(vehicles with the tire pressure warning system)
If the tire pressure warning light frequently comes on after blinking for 1 minute
when the power switch is turned to ON mode, have it checked by any authorized
Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional.
Warning buzzer
In some cases, the buzzer may not be heard due to being in a noisy location or
audio sound.
WA R N I N G
If both the ABS and the brake system warning lights remain on
Stop your vehicle in a safe place immediately and contact any authorized Lexus
dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional. The
vehicle will become extremely unstable during braking, and the ABS system
may fail, which could cause an accident resulting in death or serious injury.
When the electric power steering system warning light comes on
The steering wheel may become extremely heavy.
If the steering wheel becomes heavier than usual when operating, hold firmly
and operate using more force than usual.

After using the tools and jack
Before driving, make sure all the tools and jack are securely in place in their
storage location to reduce the possibility of personal injury during a collision or
sudden braking.
When stowing the flat tire
Make sure the rear seatbacks are in their original position.
Secure it using a tire tie-down belt. Otherwise, the flat tire may fly out in case
of sudden braking or an accident, resulting in death or serious injury.
NOTICE
Be careful when driving over bumps with the compact spare tire installed on the
vehicle
The vehicle becomes lower when driving with the compact spare tire compared
to when driving with standard tires. Be careful when driving over uneven road
surfaces.
Driving with tire chains and the compact spare tire
Do not fit tire chains to the compact spare tire.
Tire chains may damage the vehicle body and adversely affect driving perfor-
mance.
