Operation of each component
Move the inside lock button to the lock position.
Close the door.
The door cannot be locked if the “START STOP ENGINE” <“POWER”>
switch is in ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON mode, or the elec-
tronic key is left inside the vehicle.
The key may not be detected correc tly and the door may be locked.
The door cannot be opened from

The following functions can be set or canceled:
■Setting and canceling the functions
To switch between setting and canceling, follow the procedure below:Close all the doors and turn the “START STOP ENGINE”
<“POWER”> switch to IGNITION ON mode. (Perform step
2 within 20 seconds.)
Shift the shift lever to P or N,
and press and hold the driver’s
door lock switch ( or
) for approximately 5
seconds and then release.
The shift lever and switch positions
corresponding to the desired func-
tion to be set are shown as follows.

CAUTION
■Trunk easy closer (vehicles with power trunk opener and closer)
■Power trunk opener and closer (if equipped)
Observe the following precautions when operating the power trunk opener and
closer.
Failure to do so may cause serious injury.
●Check the safety of the surrounding area to make sure there are no obstacles or
anything that could cause any of your belongings to get caught.
●If anyone is in the vicinity, make sure they are safe and let them know that the
trunk is about to open or close.
●If the trunk closer switch is pressed while the trunk lid is opening during automatic
operation, the trunk lid stops opening. Take extra care when on an incline, as the
trunk lid may open or close suddenly.
●On an incline, the trunk lid may fall afte r it opens automatically. Make sure the
trunk lid is fully open and secure before using the trunk.
●In the following situations, the power trunk opener and closer may detect an
abnormality and automatic operation may be stopped. In this case, the trunk lid
has to be operated manually. Take extra care in this situation, as the stopped trunk
lid may suddenly fall, causing an accident.
• When the trunk lid contacts an obstacle
• When the 12-volt battery voltage suddenly drops, such as when the “START STOP ENGINE” <“POWER”> switch is turned to IGNITION ON
mode or the engine is started during automatic operation
●Do not attach any accessories other than genuine Lexus parts to the trunk lid. The
power trunk opener and closer may not op erate, causing itself to malfunction, or
the trunk lid may fall closed again after it is opened.
In the event that the trunk lid is left slightly
open, the trunk easy closer will automatically
close it to the fully closed position. It takes
several seconds before the trunk easy closer
begins to operate. Be careful not to catch fin-
gers or anything else in the trunk lid, as this
may cause bone fractures or other serious
injuries.

Driving position memory
The seat and steering wheel are automatically adjusted to allow the driver
to enter and exit the vehicle easily.
When all of the fo llowing have been
performed, the driver’s seat and
steering wheel are automatically
adjusted to a position that allows
driver to enter and exit the vehicle
easily. • The shift lever has been shifted to P.
•The “START STOP ENGINE” <“POWER”> switch has been
turned off.
• The driver’s seat belt has been unfastened.
When any of the following has been performed, the driver’s seat and
steering wheel automatically retu rn to their original positions.
• The “START STOP ENGINE” <“POWER”> switch has been turned to ACCESSORY mode or IGNITION ON mode.
• The driver’s seat belt has been fastened.

: If equipped
This feature automatically adjusts the front seats, steering wheel
(power adjustment type) and outside rear view mirrors to make enter-
ing and exiting the vehicle easier or to suit your preferences.

button, press and hold the
door lock switch (either lock or
unlock) unt il the buzzer
sounds.
If the button could not be regis-
tered, the buzzer sounds continu-
ously for approximately 3 seconds.
■Recall procedure
Carry the electronic key that has b een registered to the driving posi-
tion, and then unlock and open the driver’s door using the smart
access system with pu sh-button start or wireless remote control.
The driving position will move to the recorded position (not including the
steering wheel). However, the seat will move to a position slightly behind the
recorded position in order to make entering the vehicle easier.
If the driving position is in a position that has already been recorded, the seat
and outside rear view mirrors will not move.
Turn the “START STOP ENGINE ” <“POWER”> switch to ACCES-
SORY mode or IGNITION ON mode, or fasten a seat belt.
The seat and steering wheel will move to the recorded position.

■Cancelation procedure
Carry only the key you want to cancel and then close the driver’s door.
If 2 or more keys are in the vehicle, the driving position cannot be can-
celed properly.
Turn the “START STOP ENGINE” <“POWER”> switch to
IGNITION ON mode.
While pressing the “SET” button, pr ess and hold the door lock switch
(either lock or unlock) until the buzzer sounds twice.
If the button could not be canceled, the buzzer sounds continuously for
approximately 3 seconds.
■Recalling the driving position using the memory recall function
●Different driving positions can be registered for each electronic key. Therefore, the
driving position that is recalled may be different depending on the key being car-
ried.
●If a door other than the driver’s door is unlocked with the smart access system with
push-button start, the driving position cann ot be recalled. In this case, press the
driving position button which has been set.
■Customization
The unlock door settings of the memory recall function can be customized. (Cus-
tomizable features: P. 8 6 2 )
CAUTION
■Seat adjustment caution
Take care during seat adjustment so that the seat does not strike the rear passen-
ger or squeeze your body against the steering wheel.

A desired steering position can be entered to memory and recalled automatically by
the driving position memory system. ( P. 1 5 6 )
■Power easy access system (power adjustment type)
The steering wheel and driver’s seat move in accordance with “START STOP
ENGINE” <“POWER”> switch mode and th e driver’s seat belt condition. (P. 1 5 6 )
CAUTION
■Caution while driving
Do not adjust the steering wheel while driving.
Doing so may cause the driver to mishandle the vehicle and cause an accident,
resulting in death or serious injury.
■After adjusting the steering wheel (manual adjustment type)
Make sure that the steering wheel is securely locked.
Otherwise, the steering wheel may move suddenly, possibly causing an accident,
and resulting in death or serious injury.

Responding to the level of brightness of the headlights of vehicles behind,
the reflected light is automatically reduced.

■The power windows can be operated when
The “START STOP ENGINE” <“POWER”> switch is in IGNITION ON
mode.
■Operating the power windows after turn ing the engine off
The power windows can be operated for approximately 45 seconds even after the
“START STOP ENGINE” <“POWER”> switch is turned to ACCESSORY mode or
turned off. They cannot, however, be operated once either front door is opened.
■Jam protection function
If an object becomes caught between th e window and the window frame, window
travel is stopped and the wi ndow is opened slightly.
■When the power window does not close normally
If the jam protection function is operating abnormally and a window cannot be
closed, perform the following operations using the power window switch on the rele-
vant door.
●After stopping the vehicle, the window ca n be closed by holding the power window
switch in the one-touch closing posi tion while the “START STOP ENGINE”
<“POWER”> switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode.
●If the window still cannot be closed even by carrying out the operation as explained
above, initialize the function by performing the following procedure.
Hold the power window switch in th e one-touch closing position. Continue
holding the switch for a further 6 seconds after the window has closed.
Hold the power window switch in the one-touch opening position. Continue
holding the switch for a further 2 seco nds after the window has opened com-
pletely.
Hold the power window switch in the one-touch closing position once again.
Continue holding the switch for a further 2 seconds after the window has
closed.
If you release the switch while the window is moving, start again from the beginning.
If the window continues to close but then re-open slightly even after performing the
above procedure correctly, have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.

■The moon roof can be operated when
The “START STOP ENGINE” <“POWER”> switch is in IGNITION ON
mode.
■Operating the moon roof after turning the engine off
The moon roof can be operated for approximately 45 seconds after the “START
STOP ENGINE” <“POWER”> switch is turned to ACCESSORY mode or turned
off. It cannot, however, be operated once either front door is opened.
■Jam protection function
If an object is detected between the moon roof and the frame while the moon roof is
closing or tilting down, travel is stopped and the moon roof opens slightly.
■Sunshade
The sunshade can be opened and closed manually. However, the sunshade will open
automatically when the moon roof is opened.
■Door lock linked moon roof operation
●The moon roof can be opened and closed using the mechanical key.* ( P. 8 1 0 )
●The moon roof can be opened using the wireless remote control.* ( P. 1 3 9 )
