■nanoe *1 system (if equipped)
Your vehicle incorporates a nanoe  device, which is considered a biocidal product. The
nanoe  device generates charged water particles from the ambient air and these purify
the air in the cabin by suppressing bacteria.
The nanoe  device is considered a biocidal produc t in the EU according to the interpre-
tation of Regulation (EU) No 528/2012.
Active substances: Charged water particles (nano) containing hydroxyl radicals, gener-
ated from ambient air
nanoe  helps to provide purified air by emitting electrically charged water particles
through the front center vent on the driver’s side

●When the fan is turned on an d “nanoe” on the option control screen is selected, the
nanoe  system is activated.
●When the fan is operated in the following conditions, system performance will be maxi-
mized. If the following conditions are not met, performance will be limited.
• The , or air outlets are being used.
• The front center vent on driver’s side is open.
●When nanoe  is generated, a small amount of ozone is emitted and may be faintly
smelled in some situations. However, this is approximately the same as the amount that
already exists in nature, such as in forests, and it has no affect on the human body.
●A slight noise may be heard during op eration. This is not a malfunction.

*2: According to temperature and humidity conditions, fan speed and direction of the
air flow, the nanoe  system may not operate at full capacity.

WA R N I N G
■When washing the vehicle
Do not apply water to the inside of the engine compartment. Doing so may cause the
electrical components etc. to catch fire.
■When cleaning the windshield (vehicles with rain-sensing windshield wipers)
●When the upper part of the windshield where the raindrop sensor is located is
touched by hand
●When a wet rag or similar is held close to the raindrop sensor
●If something bumps against the windshield
●If you directly touch the raindrop sensor bo dy or if something bumps into the raindrop
sensor
■Precautions regarding the exhaust pipes and rear bumper diffusers
Exhaust gases cause the exhaust pipes and rear bumper diffusers to become quite hot.
When washing the vehicle, be careful not to touch the pipes and diffusers until they
have cooled sufficiently, as touching hot exhaust pipes and rear bumper diffusers can
cause burns.
■Precaution regarding the rear bumper with Blind Spot Monitor (if equipped)
If the paint of the rear bumper is chipped or scratched, the system may malfunction. If
this occurs, consult any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified
and equipped professional.
Turn off AUTO mode of the wiper to prevent
the wiper from operating. ( →P. 2 74 )
If AUTO mode is selected, the wipers may
operate unexpectedly in the following situa-
tions, and may result in hands being caught or
other serious injuries and cause damage to the
wiper blades.

ABS warning lightIndicates a malfunction in:
•The ABS; or
• The brake assist system
→ Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional
immediately.
Electric power steering system warning light (warning buzzer)
Indicates a malfunction in the EPS (Electric Power Steering) sys-
tem
→ Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional
immediately.

PCS (Pre-Crash Safety system) warning light
●When the warning light flashes (and a buzzer sounds):
Indicates a malfunction in the PCS (Pre-Crash Safety system)
→ Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional
immediately.
●When the warning light flashes (and a buzzer does not sound):
Indicates that the PCS (Pre-Crash Safety system) is temporarily
unavailable, possibly due to either of the following:
• An area around the radar sensor or camera sensor being dirty
or covered with condensation, ice, stickers, etc.
→ Clear the dirt, condensation, ice, stickers, etc.
(→ P. 287, 308, 317)
• Radar sensor or camera sensor being outside of its operational
condition range. (temperature etc.)
→ If operational condition (tempera ture etc.) is satisfied, PCS
(Pre-Crash Safety system) becomes to be available.
●When the warning light is illuminated:
Either the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) system or PCS (Pre-
Crash Safety system) is disabled or both are disabled.
→ To enable the PCS (Pre-Crash Safety system), enable both
the VSC system and PCS (Pre-Crash Safety system).

Slip indicator
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The VSC system;
• The TRC system; or
• The hill-start assist control system
→ Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional
immediately.
The light will flash when the VSC, TRC or ABS system is operating.

*2: Driver’s and front passenger’s seat belt buzzer:
The driver’s and front passenger’s seat belt buzzer sounds to alert the driver and front
passenger that his or her seat belt is not fastened. The buzzer sounds intermittently for
30 seconds after the vehicle reaches a speed of 20 km/h (12 mph). Then, if the seat
belt is still unfastened , the buzzer will sound in a different tone for 90 more seconds.
■Front passenger detection sensor, seat belt reminder and warning buzzer
●If luggage is placed on the front passenge r seat, the front passenger detection sensor
may cause the warning light to flash and the warning buzzer to sound even if a passen-
ger is not sitting in the seat.
●If a cushion is placed on the seat, the sensor may not detect a passenger, and the warn-
ing light may not operate properly.
■If the malfunction indicator lamp comes on while driving
The malfunction indicator lamp will come on if the fuel tank becomes completely empty.
If the fuel tank is empty, refuel the vehicle immediately. The malfunction indicator lamp
will go off after several trips.
If the malfunction indicator lamp does not go off, contact any authorized Lexus dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional as soon as possible.

Tire pressure warning light When the light comes on:
Low tire inflation pressure such as
• Natural causes ( →P. 5 1 6 )
• Flat tire ( →P. 551, 567)
→ Adjust the tire inflation pressure (including the full-size spare
tire) to the specified level.
The light will turn off after a few minutes. In case the light does
not turn off even if the tire inflation pressure is adjusted, have the
system checked by any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or
another duly qualified and equipped professional.
When the light comes on af ter blinking for 1 minute:
Malfunction in the tire pressure warning system
→ Have the system checked by any authorized Lexus dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional.

Indicates a malfunction in the brake system
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus
dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional.
Continuing to drive the vehicle may be dangerous.
Indicates that hood or one or more of the doors or trunk
are not fully closed
The system also indicates which hood or doors or
trunk are not fully closed.
If the vehicle reaches a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph),
flashes and a buzzer sounds to indicate that
the hood or door(s) or trunk are not yet fully closed.
→ Make sure that hood or all doors or trunk are
closed.

Indicates a malfunction in the Lexus parking assist
All assist-sensors flash.
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus
dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional.

belt before releasing the parking brake.
Indicates that the driver’s door was opened with the shift
position in any position other than P

rounding area on the bumper is dirty or covered with iceA buzzer also sounds.
→ Clean the sensor and its surrounding area on the
bumper.
Indicates a malfunction in the cruise control system or
dynamic radar cruise control system (if equipped)
Press the “ON/OFF” button once to deactivate the
system, and then press the button again to reactivate
the system.
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus
dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional.

Indicates a malfunction in the dynamic radar cruise con-
trol with full-speed range
Depress the brake pedal.

Assist) system
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus
dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional.
(If equipped)
The operation conditions of the camera sensor (temper-
ature, etc.) are not met.
→When the operation conditions of the camera sen-
sor (temperature, etc.) are met, the following sys-
tems will become available.
• PCS (Pre-Crash Safety system)
• LKA (Lane-Keeping Assist) system
• LDA (Lane Departure Alert with steering control) system
• RSA (Road Sign Assist)
• AHS (Adaptive High-beam System)
•Automatic High Beam
(If equipped)
Indicates that the system is temporarily unavailable due
to a malfunction in a sensor other than the camera sen-
sor
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Turn the LDA (Lane Departure Alert with steering
control) system off, wait for a little while, and then
turn the LDA (Lane Departure Alert with steering
control) system back on.
(If equipped)
Indicates that the system is temporarily unavailable due
to a malfunction in a sensor other than the camera sen-
sor A buzzer also sounds.
→ Turn the LKA (Lane-Keeping Assist) system off, wait
for a little while, and then turn the LKA (Lane-Keep-
ing Assist) system back on.
