NOTICE
■Camera sensor
●Do not apply window tinting or stickers to the camera sensor or the area of wind-
shield near the camera sensor.
●Do not place items on the da shboard. There is a possibility that the camera sensor will
mistake items reflected in the windshield fo r streetlights, the headlights of other vehi-
cles, etc.
●Do not install a parking tag or any other accessories near or around the inside rear
view mirror and the camera sensor.
●Do not overload the vehicle.
●Do not modify the vehicle.
●Do not replace windshield with a non-genuine windshield.
Contact your Lexus dealer.
Observe the following to ensure that the Auto-
matic High Beam functions correctly.
●Do not touch the camera sensor.
●Do not subject the inside rear view mirror or
the camera sensor to a strong impact.
●Do not disassemble the camera sensor.
●Do not spill liquid onto the inside rear view
mirror or the camera sensor.

Windshield wipers and washer
The wiper operation is selected by moving the lever as follows.
■Intermittent windshield wipers with interval adjuster
Intermittent operation
Low speed operation
High speed operation
Temporary operation
Wiper intervals can be adjusted when intermittent operation is selected. Increases the intermittent wind-
shield wiper frequency
Decreases the intermittent wind-

cleaners will operate once.

The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode.
■Raindrop sensor (vehicles with rain-sensing windshield wipers)
●If the wiper switch is turned to the “AUT O” position while the engine switch is in
IGNITION ON mode, the wipers will operate once to show that “AUTO” mode is acti-
vated.
●When the sensor sensitivity ring is turned toward high while in “AUTO” mode, the wip-
ers will operate once to indicate that the sensor sensitivity is enhanced.
●If the temperature of the rain drop sensor is 194 °F (90 °C) or higher, or 5 °F (-15 °C) or
lower, the automatic operation may not occur. In this case, operate the wipers in any
mode other than “AUTO”.

●The raindrop sensor judges the amount of
raindrops.
An optical sensor is ad opted. It may not oper-
ate properly when sunlight from the rising or
setting of the sun intermittently strikes the
windshield, or if bugs etc. are present on the
windshield.

■Effects of vehicle speed on wiper operation
(vehicles with rain-sensing windshield wip-
ers)
With the settings other than “AUTO” also, the time until drip prevention wiper sweep
occurs is changed depending on vehicle speed.
With the low speed wiper operation selected, wiper operation will be switched from low
speed to intermittent wiper operation only when the vehicle is stationary. (However,
when the sensor sensitivity is adjusted to th e highest level, the mode cannot be switched.)
■If no windshield washer fluid sprays
Check that the washer nozzles are not blocked if there is washer fluid in the windshield
washer fluid reservoir.
CAUTION
■Caution regarding the use of windshield wipers in “AUTO” mode (vehicles with rain-
sensing windshield wipers)
The windshield wipers may operate unexpectedly if the sensor is touched or the wind-
shield is subject to vibration in “AUTO” mode. Take care that your fingers etc. anything
else does not become caught in the windshield wipers.
■Caution regarding the use of washer fluid
When it is cold, do not use the washer fl uid until the windshield becomes warm. The
fluid may freeze on the windshield and cause lo w visibility. This may lead to an accident,
resulting in death or serious injury.
NOTICE
■When the windshield is dry
Do not use the wipers, as they may damage the windshield.
■When the washer fluid tank is empty
Do not operate the switch continually as the washer fluid pump may overheat.
■When there is no washer fluid spray from the nozzle
Damage to the washer fluid pump may be caused if the lever is pulled toward you and
held continually.
■When a nozzle becomes blocked
Do not try to clear it with a pin or other object. The nozzle will be damaged.

■The rear window wiper and washer can be operated when

■If no windshield washer fluid sprays
Check that the washer nozzles are not blocked
if there is washer fluid in the windshield
