Operation of each component
■Folding down second center seatback only (for 7-passenger models)
■If you cannot raise the second seatback Pull the center seatback lock release lever
behind the seatback and fold it down.
To return the center seatback to its original posi-
tion, lift it up until it locks.
Release the seat belt lock by:
Pushing on the lower front edge of the seat-
back to slacken the seat belt.
Let the seat belt retract a little.

Use the seat belt hanger to prevent
the belt from being tangled.
Make sure that th
e seat belts are
removed from the hangers before
using them.
■Folding down the third seats
From rear door side
Pull the strap to fold the head
restraint.
Pull the seat cushion lock release
lever.
The seat cushion is stowed automati-
cally.
Pull the seatback lock release
lever and fold the seatback down.

From back door side
Pull the strap to fold the head
restraint.
Pull the seat cushion/seatback
lock release lever.
The seat cushion is stowed automati-
cally.
Fold the seatback down.
■Returning the third seatsFrom rear door side, unlock the
seatbacks by pulling the lock
release lever, and lift them up until
they lock.

Pull the grip and carry the seat
cushion out.
Lift the head restraint up until it

■Before folding down the third seats
Use the seat belt hangers to prevent
the belts from being tangled.
Make sure that the seat belts are
removed from the hangers before
using them.
■Folding down the third seats
Press and hold . Two
beeps sound and the seatback
will rise.
When operating is completed, two
beeps sound again.
Press and hold again. Two
beeps sound, the head restraints
will fold forward, and the seat will
be stowed.
When operating is completed, two
beeps sound again.

When operating is completed,

Lift the head restraints up until
they lock.
■The third power seats can be operated when
●The engine switch is off.
●The shift lever is in P position with th e engine switch in IGNITION ON mode.
■During third power seat stowing operation
Do not remove your hand from the switch un til the operation stops automatically. If you
remove your hand from the switch, the operat ion will stop and the buzzer will sound con-
tinuously. The seat cannot be used in this state. The buzzer will stop when the switch is
pressed again.

Operation of each component
■Enlarging the luggage compartment
The third seat can be used for sitting when it is in the posi tion shown in step of the fold-
ing down the third seats. ( P. 134)
This can be convenient for enlarging the luggage compartment, for instance when the
luggage is against the back of the seatback.
■If the warning buzzer sounds continuously
If there is an abnormality in the system, the warning buzzer will sound continuously while
the engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode. In this case, take the following operations:
Press and hold .
Press and hold to stow the seat.
For each step, wait until the seat movement stops automati cally and the two beeps sound
twice before removing your hand from the switch.
If the warning buzzer does not stop even after performing the above procedure cor-
rectly, perform the following operations:
Press and hold on the rear door side.
While holding , press forward on 5 times within 10 seconds and keep
holding until 3 beeps sound. The beep will then sound continuously again.
Repeat step and .

CAUTION
■When folding the seatbacks down
Observe the following precautions. Failure to
do so may result in death or serious
injury.
●Do not fold the seatbacks down while driving.
●Stop the vehicle on level ground, set the pa rking brake and shift the shift lever to P.
●Do not allow anyone to sit on a folded seatback or in the luggage compartment while
driving.
●Do not allow children to enter the luggage compartment.
■Seat adjustment
Observe the following precautions. Failure to do so may result in death or serious
injury.
●To reduce the risk of sliding under the lap belt during a collision, do not recline the
seat more than necessary.
If the seat is too reclined, the lap belt may slide past the hips and apply restraint forces
directly to the abdomen, or your neck ma y contact the shoulder belt, increasing the
risk of death or serious injury in the event of an accident.
Adjustments should not be made while dr iving as the seat may unexpectedly move
and cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
●Be careful not to get hands or feet pinched between the rear console box and the
second seat when folding down the rear seatback.
■When stowing the third seats
Observe the following precautions. Failure to do so may result in death or serious
injury.
●Check that there is no lugg age and that there are no ot her people around the seat
before stowing operation.
●Do not insert hands or feet into the moving parts of the seat.
●Do not allow children to operate the seat.
■After returning the seatbacks to the upright position
Observe the following precautions. Failure to do so may result in death or serious
injury.
●Make sure the seatback is securely locked by pushing it forward and rearward on the
top.
●Check that the seat belts are not twisted or caught in the seatback.
NOTICE
■When returning the third seat (vehicles with a luggage cover)
If the luggage cover is installed in the luggage compartment, make sure you remove it
before returning the third seat. ( P. 418) The luggage cover may be damaged by the
seat.

Driving position memory
The seat and steering wheel are automati
cally adjusted to allow the driver to
enter and exit the vehicle easily.
When all of the following have been
performed, the driver’s seat and steer-
ing wheel are automatically adjusted to
a position that allows driver to enter
and exit the vehicle easily. • The shift lever has been shifted to P.
• The engine switch has been turned off.
• The driver’s seat belt has been unfas- tened.
When any of the following has been perf ormed, the driver’s seat and steering
wheel automatically return to their original positions.
• The engine switch has been turn ed to ACCESSORY mode or IGNITION
ON mode.
• The driver’s seat belt has been fastened.
■Operation of the power easy access system
When exiting the vehicle, the power easy ac cess system may not operate if the seat is
already close to the rearmost position, etc.
■Customization
The seat movement amount settings of th e power easy access system can be custom-
ized. (Customizable features: P. 592)
This feature automatically adjusts the driver’s seats, steering wheel and out-
side rear view mirrors to make enteri ng and exiting the vehicle easier or to
suit your preferences.

Your preferred driving position (the posi
tion of the driver’s seat, steering wheel
and outside rear view mirrors) can be recorded and recalled by pressing a but-
ton.
Two different driving positions can be recorded into memory.
■Recording procedure
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.
Adjust the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and outside rear view mirrors to the
desired positions.
While pressing the “SET” button,
or within 3 seconds after the
“SET” button is pressed, press
button “1” or “2” until the buzzer
sounds.
If the selected button has already
been preset, the previously recorded
position will be overwritten.
■Recall procedureCheck that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.
Press one of the buttons for the
driving position you want to recall
until the buzzer sounds.
