If a safety system warning light does not come on
Should a safety system light such as Multi Terrain ABS and the SRS airbag warning
light not come on when you start the engine, this could mean that these systems are
not available to help protect you in an accid ent, which could result in death or seri-
ous injury. Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately if this
occurs.■ Warning lights
Warning lights inform the driver of malfunctions in any of the vehi-
cle’s systems. (  P. 821)

: These lights turn on when the “E NGINE START STOP” switch is turned
to IGNITION ON mode to indicate that a system check is being per-
formed. They will turn off after the en gine is started, or after a few sec-
onds. There may be a malfunction in a system if a light does not come on,
or if the lights do not turn off. Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus
dealer for details.

Display items can be switched by
pressing the “DISP” switch.
Display items
■ Outside temperature display
■ Average fuel consumption and Eco Driving Indicator Zone Display
(  P. 166) Displays the outside temperature • The temperature range that can be displayed
is from -40  F (-40  C) to 122  F (50  C).
• When Crawl control and Multi-terrain Select
is operating, the temperature is displayed on
the top of the multi-information display. Oth-
erwise, it is displayed in the middle of the
multi-information display.
Displays the average fuel consumption since
the function was reset • The function can be reset by pressing the
“DISP” switch for longer than 1 second when
the average fuel consumption is displayed.
• Use the displayed average fuel consumption
as a reference.

■ Current fuel consumption

■ Speedometer Displays the average fuel consumption since
the vehicle was last refueled Use the displayed average fuel consumption as a
reference.
Displays the current rate of fuel consumption
Displays the estimated maximum distance that
can be driven with the quantity of fuel remain-
ing • This distance is computed based on your
average fuel consumption. As a result, the
actual distance that can be driven may differ
from that displayed.
• When only a small amount of fuel is added to
the tank, the display may not be updated.
When refueling, turn the “ENGINE START
STOP” switch off. If the vehicle is refueled
without turning the “ENGINE START STOP”
switch off, the display may not be updated.
Displays the vehicle speed. The speed units (MPH or km/h) can be
selected by pressing the “DISP” switch for
longer than 1 second when the speedometer is
displayed.

■ Turn-by-turn navigation setting screen Displays the average vehicle speed since the
engine was started or the function was reset The function can be reset by pressing the “DISP”
switch for longer than 1 second when the aver-
age vehicle speed is displayed.
Displays the direction of the front tires The tire direction is displayed in 3 stages for
both left and right, in accordance with the angle
of the tire.
The turn-by-turn navigati on can be set to on or
off. The function can be activated or deactivated by
pressing the “DISP” switch for longer than 1 sec-
ond when turn-by-turn navigation setting
screen is displayed.

A blank screen is displayed Displays inflation pressure of each tire. There
is no correlation between the order of the dis-
played values and the tire positions. If the inflation pressure of any tire drops a cer-
tain amount below the tire inflation pressure
value currently memorized in the system, the
displayed values will be highlighted.
It may take a few minutes to display the tire infla-
tion pressure after the “ENGINE START STOP”
switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode. It may
also take a few minutes to display the tire infla-
tion pressure after inflation pressure has been
adjusted.
If the tire pressure warning light is on or flashing,
a message describing the situation will be dis-
played.

System check display
After turning the “ENGINE START STOP ” switch to IGNITION ON mode,
“LEXUS” is displayed while system operation is checked. When the system check is
complete, the normal screen will return. ■
Turn-by-turn navigation
The turn-by-turn navigation appears only
while route guidance of the navigation system
is being performed. When a turn
approaches, the distance to the turn and the
turn direction are displayed.

Outside temperature display
In the following situations, the correct outside temperature may not be displayed, or
the display may take longer than normal to change: ●
When stopped, or driving at low speeds (less than 12 mph [20 km/h]) ●
When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entrance/exit of a
garage, tunnel, etc.)■
When “--” or “E” is displayed
The system may be malfunctioning. Take your vehicle Lexus dealer.■
When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals
The following information data will be reset: ●
Average fuel consumption after refueling ●
Average fuel consumption ●
Average vehicle speed
CAUTION■
The information display at low temperatures
Allow the interior of the vehicle to warm up before using the information display. At
extremely low temperatures, the information display monitor may respond slowly,
and display changes may be delayed.
For example, there is a lag between the driver’s shifting and the new gear number
appearing on the display. This lag could cause the driver to downshift again, causing
rapid and excessive engine braking and po ssibly an accident resulting in death or
serious injury.

8325-2. Steps to take in an emergency
LX570_OM_OM60L21U_(U) If a warning message is displayed The multi-information display shows warnings of system malfunctions,
incorrectly performed operations, or shows messages that indicate a need
for maintenance.
If a warning is shown on the instrument cluster, stay calm and perform the
following actions:
Master warning light The master warning light also
comes on or flashes in order to
indicate that a message is cur-
rently being displayed on the
multi-information display.
Multi-information display
If any of the warning lights comes on again after the following actions
have been performed, contact your Lexus dealer.
