Illuminated entry system
The lights automatically tu rn on/off according to “ENGINE START STOP” switch
mode, the presence of the electronic ke y, whether the doors are locked/unlocked,
and whether the doors are open/closed. ■
To prevent battery discharge
If the interior lights remain on when the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is turned
off, the lights will go off automatically after 20 minutes. ■
Customization
Settings (e.g. Time pe riod before the interior lights turn off.) can be changed.

The cigarette lighter can be used when
The “ENGINE START STOP” switch is in ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON
mode.
CAUTION■
To avoid burns or fires ●
Do not touch the metal parts of the cigarette lighter. ●
Do not hold the cigarette lighter down. It could overheat and cause a fire. ●
Do not insert anything other than the cigarette lighter into the outlet. Push the front part of the lid to
open, and push the cigarette
lighter down. The cigarette lighter will pop up
when it is ready for use.

The “ENGINE START STOP” switch is in ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON

NOTICE■
To avoid damaging the power outlet
Close the power outlet lid when the power outlet is not in use.
Foreign objects or liquids that enter th e power outlet may ca use a short circuit.■
To prevent the fuse from being blown
12 V
Do not use an accessory that uses more than 12 V 10 A.
120 V AC
Do not use a 120 V AC appliance that requires more than 100 W.
If a 120 V AC appliance that consumes more than 100 W is used, the protection
circuit will cut the power supply.■
To prevent the battery from being discharged
Do not use the power outlet longer than necessary when the engine is not running. ■
Appliances that may not operate properly (120 V AC)
The following 120 V AC appliances may not operate properly even if their power
consumption is under 100 W: ●
Appliances with high initial peak wattage ●
Measuring devices that process precise data ●
Other appliances that require an extremely stable power supply

 : If equipped■
The heated steering wheel can be used when
The “ENGINE START STOP” switch is in IGNITION ON mode. ■
Timer
The heated steering wheel will automatically turn off after about 30 minutes. ■
If the indicator light flashes
Press the switch to turn the heated steering wheel off and then press the switch
again. If the indicator light still flashes, a malfunction may be occurring. Turn the
heated steering wheel off and have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.The heated steering wheel can be used to heat the leather portion of the
steering wheel.
On/Off The indicator light comes on
when the heater is operating.

The seat heaters and ventilators can be used when
The “ENGINE START STOP” switch is in IGNITION ON mode. ■
Replacing the air filters
Filters are installed in the seat ventilators. For replacement of the filters, contact
your Lexus dealer.
CAUTION■
Burns ●
Use caution when seating the following persons in a seat with the seat heater on
to avoid the possibility of burns:
• Babies, small children, the elderly, the sick and the physically challenged
• Persons with sensitive skin
• Persons who are fatigued
• Persons who have taken alcohol or dr ugs that induce sleep (sleeping drugs,
cold remedies, etc.)●
Do not cover the seat with anything when using the seat heater. Using the seat
heater with a blanket or cushion increases the temperature of the seat and may
lead to overheating. ●
Do not use the seat heater more than necessary. Doing so may cause minor
burns or overheating.
NOTICE■
To prevent damage to the seat heaters and ventilators
Do not put heavy objects that have an unev en surface on the seat and do not stick
sharp objects (needles, nail s, etc.) into the seat.■
To prevent battery discharge
Turn the seat heaters an d ventilators off when the engine is not running.

When the “ENGIN E START STOP” switch is turned to IGNITION ON
mode, the red indicator light comes on for 2 seconds then turns off.
Afterward, the green indicator light co mes on, indicating that the service
is active.
The following indicator light patter ns indicate specific system usage con-
ditions:
● Green indicator light on = Active service
● Green indicator light flashing = Safety Connect call in process
● Red indicator light (except at vehicle start-up) = System malfunction
(contact your Lexus dealer)
● No indicator light (off) = Safety Connect service not active
Safety Connect services
■ Automatic Collision Notification
In case of either airbag deployment or severe rear-end collision, the
system is designed to automatical ly call the response center. The
responding agent receives the vehicle’s location and attempts to
speak with the vehicle occupants to assess the level of emergency. If
the occupants are unable to co mmunicate, the agent automatically
treats the call as an emergency, co ntacts the nearest emergency ser-
vices provider to describe the situa tion, and requests that assistance
be sent to the location.

Repair and replacement
It is recommended that genuine Lexus part s be used for repair to ensure perfor-
mance of each system. If no n-Lexus parts are used in replacement or if a repair
shop other than a Lexus dealer performs repairs, confirm the warranty coverage.■
Resetting the message indicating main tenance is required (U.S.A. only)
After the required maintena nce is performed according to the maintenance sched-
ule, please reset the message.
To reset the data, follow th e procedures described below:
Switch the display to the trip meter A when the engine is running.

Turn the “ENGINE START STOP” switch OFF.
While pressing the trip meter reset button, set the “ENGINE START
STOP” switch to IGNITION ON mo de (but do not start the engine
because otherwise the reset mode will be canceled). Continue to press
and hold the button until the multi-in formation display indicates that the
reset is complete.■
Allow inspection and repairs to be performed by a Lexus dealer●
Lexus technicians are well-trained specialists and are kept up to date with the
latest service information. They are well informed about the operations of all
systems on your vehicle. ●
Keep a copy of the repair order. It proves that the maintenance that has been
performed is under warranty coverage. If any problem should arise while your
vehicle is under warranty, your Lexus dealer will promptly take care of it.STEP 1

denly, become hot, or become electrically energized. To avoid death or serious injury
observe the following precautions. ■
When working on the engine compartment ●
Keep hands, clothing and t ools away from the moving fa ns and engine drive belt.●
Be careful not to touch the engine, radiator, exhaust mani fold, etc. right after driv-
ing as they may be hot. Oil and other fluids may also be hot. ●
Do not leave anything that may burn easily, such as paper or rags, in the engine
compartment. ●
Do not smoke, cause sparks or expose an open flame to fuel or the battery. Fuel
and battery fumes are flammable. ●
Be extremely cautious when working on the battery. It contains poisonous and
corrosive sulfuric acid.■
When working near the electric cooling fan or radiator grille
Be sure the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is OFF.
With the “ENGINE START ST OP” switch in IGNITION ON mode, the electric
cooling fan may automatically start to run if the air conditioning is on and/or the
coolant temperature is high. (  P. 758)■
When working on or under the vehicle ●
Do not get under the vehicle with just the jack supporting it.
Always use automotive jack st ands or other solid supports.●
Use eye protection to prevent flying or falling material, fluid spray, etc. from get-
ting in your eyes.
NOTICE■
If you remove the air cleaner filter
Driving with the air cleaner removed may cause excessive engine wear due to dirt
in the air.

Park the vehicle in safe plac e and turn the “ENGINE START
STOP” switch to OFF. While the vehicle is moving, initialization is not performed.
Adjust the tire inflation pressure to the specified cold tire inflation
pressure level. (  P. 895)Make sure to adjust the tire pressure to the specified cold tire inflation
pressure level. The tire pressure warning system will operate based on
this pressure level.
Turn the “ENGINE START STOP ” switch to IGNITION ON
mode.
Push and hold the tire pressure
warning reset switch until the tire
pressure warning light blinks
slowly 3 times and a message
appears on the multi-information
display.
Wait for a few minutes with th e IGNITION ON mode, and then
turn the “ENGINE START STOP” switch to OFF.
Registering ID codes
The tire pressure warning valve and tra nsmitter is equipped with a unique
ID code. When replacing a tire pre ssure warning valve and transmitter, it
is necessary to register the ID code of tire pressure warning valve and
transmitter. Have the ID code registered by your Lexus dealer.STEP 1
