Headlight high beams (halogen bulbs)
For the right side only:
Remove the bolt, and move the
washer fluid supply opening.
When it is difficult to work,
remove the washer fluid supply
opening.
Turn the cover counterclockwise
and remove it.
Turn the bulb base counterclock-
wise.Replacing light bulbs 1

NX300h_U_OM78007U Install the bulb base. Align the 3 tabs on the light bulb with
the mounting, and insert. Turn it
clockwise to set.
Confirm the installation of the
bulb base. Shake the bulb base gently to check
that it is not loose, turn the headlight
high beams on once and visually
confirm that no light is leaking
through the mounting.
Install the cover and turn it clock-
wise. Align the of the cover to the
positioning mark of the lamp body
and insert and turn it.
There is the positioning mark on
the outer side of the light unit. 7

If any of the lights listed below has burnt out, have it replaced by your Lexus
dealer. ●
Headlight low beams ●
Headlight high beams (LED type) ●
Front turn signal lights (LED type) ●
Parking lights and Daytime running lights ●
Front fog lights ●
Front side marker lights (LED type) ●
Side turn signal lights ●
Stop/tail lights ●
Rear side marker lights ●
High mounted stoplight ●
License plate lights ●
Outer foot lights ■
After replacing the bulbs
■
LED lights
The headlight low beams, headlight high beams (LED Type), front turn signal lights (LED
Type), parking lights, daytime running lights, front fog lights, front side marker lights (LED
Type), side turn signal lights, rear side ma rker lights, stop/tail lights, rear side marker
lights, high mounted stoplight and license plate lights, outer foot lights consist of a num-
ber of LEDs. If any of the LEDs burn out, take your vehicle to your Lexus dealer to have
the light replaced. ■
Condensation build-up on the inside of the lens
Temporary condensation build-up on the inside of the headlight lens does not indicate a
malfunction. Contact your Lexus dealer for mo re information in the following situations:●
Large drops of water have built up on the inside of the lens.●
Wa t e r h a s b u i l t u p i n side the headlight.■
When replacing light bulbs

When trouble arises

If you have a flat front tire on a road covered with snow or ice (vehicles with a compact
spare tire and excluding the 225/60R18 tires)
Install the compact spare tire on one of the rear wheels of the vehicle. Perform the follow-
ing steps and fit tire chains to the front tires:
Replace a rear tire with the compact spare tire.
Replace the flat front tire with the tire removed from the rear of the vehicle.
Fit tire chains to the front tires.
WA R N I N G ■
When using the compact spare tire (Vehicle with compact spare tire) ●
Remember that the spare tire provided is specifically designed for use with your vehi-
cle. Do not use your spare tire on another vehicle. ●
Do not use more than one spare tire simultaneously. ●
Replace the spare tire with a stan dard tire as soon as possible.●
Avoid sudden acceleration, deceleration and braking, as well as sharp cornering. ■
When the compact spare tire is attached
The vehicle speed may not be correctly detected, and the following systems may not
operate correctly:

affect the drive-train components: ●

Speed limit when using the compact spare tire
Do not drive at speeds in excess of 50 mph (80 km/h) when a compact spare tire is
installed on the vehicle.
The compact spare tire is not designed for driving at high speeds. Failure to observe
this precaution may lead to an accid ent causing death or serious injury.■
After using the tools and jack
Before driving, make sure all the tools and jack are securely in place in their storage
location to reduce the possibility of personal injury during a collision or sudden brak-
ing. 1
