■Rear turn signal lights
Open the trunk, remove the 2
covers and 2 screws and pull the
light unit toward the rear of the
vehicle to remove it.
When removing the cover, wrap the tip of the screwdriver with tape toprotect the vehicle from damage.
Turn the bulb base
counterclockwise.
Remove the light bulb.
Install a new light bulb then install
the bulb base to the light unit by
inserting it and turning the bulb
base clockwise.
After installing the light bulb, turn on
the rear turn signal light to visually check that there is no light leakingfrom the bulb base.

■Back-up light
Open the trunk, remove the 2
clips on the side which the bulb is
to be replaced and pull back the
trunk lid cover.
Turn the bulb base
counterclockwise.
Remove the light bulb.
Install a new light bulb then install
the bulb base to the light unit by
inserting it and turning the bulb
base clockwise.
After installing the light bulb, turn on the back-up light to visually check
that there is no light leaking from the bulb base.
Reinstall the trunk lid cover with the 2 clips.
To install the clips, simply push them in.

Insert the towing eyelet into the hole
and tighten partially by hand.
Tighten down the towing eyelet
securely using a wheel nut wrench
or hard metal bar.
Securely attach cables or chains to the towing eyelet.
Take care not to damage the vehicle body.
Enter the vehicle being towed and start the engine.
If the engine does not start, turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.
Shift the shift lever to N and release the parking brake.
When the shift lever cannot be shifted: P. 258
■While towing
If the engine is not running, the power assist for the brakes and steering will not function, making steering and braking more difficult.
■Wheel nut wrench
Wheel nut wrench is installed in trunk. ( P. 620, 635)

Indicates that remaining fuel is approximately 10 L (2.6 gal., 2.2 Imp. gal.) or less Refuel the vehicle.
Driver’s and front passenger’s seat belt reminder light (warning
buzzer)*2
Warns the driver and/or front passe nger to fasten their seat belts  Fasten the seat belt. If the front passenger’s seat is occupied, the front passenger’s
seat belt also needs to be fastened to make the warning light (warning buzzer) turn off.
Rear passengers’ seat belt reminder lights (warning buzzer)*2
Warns the rear passengers to fasten their seat belts

Master warning light A buzzer sounds and the warning light comes on and flashes to indicate that the master warnin g system has detected a malfunc-

Tire pressure warning light When the light comes on:
Low tire inflation pressure such as • Natural causes ( P. 594) • Flat tire ( P. 619, 633)
 Adjust the tire inflation pressure to the specified level. The light will turn off after a few minutes. If the warning lightdoes not turn off after a few minutes, perform initialization ( P.
538). If the light does not turn off after performing initialization, have the system checked by any authorized Lexus dealer orrepairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional.
When the light comes on af ter blinking for 1 minute: Malfunction in the tire pressure warning system
 Have the system checked by any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional.

Alerts the driver that the vehicle has deviated from the lane (while the LDA [Lane Departure Alert] system is
operating) The lane line on the side the vehicle has deviated fromflashes in yellow.
The warning buzzer sounds continuously.  Check around the vehicle and back to inside of the lane lines.
Indicates that:• The brake fluid level is low; or• The brake system is malfunctioning
A buzzer also sounds.  Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place and contact any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or
another duly qualified and equipped professional. Continuing to drive the vehicle may be dangerous.
Indicates that one or more of the doors is not fully closed The system also indicates which doors are not fullyclosed.
If the vehicle reaches a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph),
flashes and a buzzer sounds to indicate that
the door(s) are not yet fully closed.
 Make sure that both side doors are closed.
Indicates that the hood is not fully closed If the vehicle reaches a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph),
flashes and a buzzer sounds to indicate that
the hood is not yet fully closed.
 Close the hood.

Take out the jack.

If the jack is too tightly installed to be
removed by hand, insert a tool, such as the screwdriver included with thevehicle, into the hole of the jack (por-
tion “A”) and loosen the jack.

Secure the luggage mat using the hook. ( P. 624)
Remove the tool tray.
NOTICE
When closing the trunk, do not leave the luggage mat lever hooked on the edge of the trunk. The luggage mat may get damaged.

Loosen the center fastener that
secures the spare tire.
If the center fastener cannot be turned
by hand, use the wheel nut wrench that
is stored in the trunk. (To secure the tire,
tighten the center fastener by hand. Do
not use the wrench or other tools.)

■When storing the spare tire
Be careful not to catch fingers or other body parts between the spare tire and the body
of the vehicle.

Remove the valve cap from the valve
of the punctured tire.
Extend the hose. Remove the air
release cap from the hose.
You will use the air release cap again. Therefore keep it in a safe place.
Connect the hose to the valve.
Screw the end of the hose clockwise asfar as possible.
NOTICE
When closing the trunk, do not leave the luggage mat lever hooked on the edge of thetrunk. The luggage mat may get damaged.

Inflate the tire until the recom-
mended pressure is reached.
The sealant will be injected and
the pressure will spike to 300 kPa
(3.0 kgf/cm2 or bar, 44 psi) or
400 kPa (4.0 kgf/cm2 or bar, 58
psi), then gradually decrease.
The air pressure gauge will dis-
play the actual tire inflation pres-
sure about 1 minute (15 minutes at
low temperature) after the switch
is turned on.
• Turn the compressor switch off and then check the tire inflationpressure. Being careful not to
over inflate, check and repeat the inflation procedure until the rec-ommended tire inflation pressure
is reached. • If the tire inflation pressure is still lo wer than the recommended level after infla- tion for 10 minutes (35 minutes at low temperature) with the switch on, the tire
is too damaged to be repaired. Turn the compressor switch off and contact any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional.
• If the tire inflation pressure exceeds th e recommended level, let out some air to adjust the tire inflation pressure.

With the compressor switch off, disconnect the hose from the valve on the tire
and then pull out the power plug from the power outlet socket.
Some sealant may leak wh en the hose is removed.
Install the valve cap onto the valve of the emergency repaired tire.
Attach the air release cap to the end
of the hose.
If the air release cap is not attached, the sealant may leak and the vehicle may
get dirty.
Temporarily store the bottle in the trunk while it is connected to the compres-
sor.

To spread the liquid sealant evenly within the tire, immediately drive safely for
about 5 km (3 miles) below 80 km/h (50 mph).
After driving, stop your vehicle in a
safe place on a hard, flat surface and
reconnect the compressor.
Turn the compressor switch on and
wait for several seconds, then turn it
off. Check the tire inflation pressure.
If the tire inflation pressure is
below 130 kPa (1.3 kgf/cm
2 or
bar, 19 psi): The puncture cannot
be repaired. Contact any autho-
rized Lexus dealer or repairer, or
another duly qualified and
equipped professional.
If the tire inflation pressure is between 130 kPa (1.3 kgf/cm
2 or bar, 19 psi)
and a point below the recommended level: The tire can be repaired. Pro-
ceed to step .
If the tire inflation pressure is at the recommended level: Proceed to step .
Turn the compressor switch on to infl ate the tire until the recommended tire
inflation pressure is reached. Drive for about 5 km (3 miles) and then perform
step .
Attach the air release cap to the end
of the hose.
If the air release cap is not attached, the
sealant may leak and the vehicle may
get dirty.
Store the bottle in the trunk while it is connected to the compressor.
