■Needle (F SPORT models)
Select to change the needle color for the tachometer.
■Rev indicator (F SPORT models)
Select to set the rev indicator on/off.
When set to on, proceed to set the engine speed at which the rev indicator will
be displayed.
Selectable engine speed range: 2000 r/min to 6000 r/min
■Rev peak (F SPORT models)
Select to set the rev peak on/off.
■Speed indicator (F SPORT models)
Select to set the speed indicator on/off.
When set to on, proceed to set the vehicle speed at which the speed indicator
will be displayed.
Selectable speed range:
Type A*1: 30 mph to 100 mph (50 km/h to 160 km/h)*3
Type B*2: 50 km/h to 200 km/h (30 mph to 125 mph)*3
*1:For U.K.
*2:Except for U.K.
*3: Always observe the legal speed limit when driving on public roads.
■Initialization
Select to reset the meter display settings. ( P. 608)
■Suspension of the settings display
In the following situations, operation of th e settings display will be temporarily sus- pended.
●When a warning message appears on the multi-information display
●When the vehicle begins to move
■Tire pressure
●It may take a few minutes to display the tire inflation pressure after the engine switch is
turned to IGNITION ON mode. It may also take a few minutes to display the tire infla- tion pressure after inflation pressure has been adjusted.
●“---” may be displayed if the tire position information cannot be determined due to
unfavorable radio wave conditions.
●Tire inflation pressure changes with temperature. The displayed values may also be dif- ferent from the values measured using a tire pressure gauge.

Lexus Display Audio system
Press the “MENU” button on the Lexus Display Audio controller, and then
select “Car” on the “MENU” screen.
If the “Trip information” screen does no t appear, move the controller to the right
and select “Trip information”.

averages and averages attained since the power switch was last turned to ON
mode. Use the displayed average fuel consumption as a reference.

To take out the mechanical key, push
the release button and take the key out.
The mechanical key can only be
inserted in one direction, as the key only has grooves on one si de. If the key can- not be inserted in a lock cylinder, turn it
over and re-attempt to insert it.
After using the mechanical key, store it in the electronic key. Carry the mechan-
ical key together with the electronic key. If the electronic key battery is depletedor the entry function does not operate
properly, you will ne ed the mechanical key. ( P. 578)

■When riding in an aircraft
When bringing an electronic key onto an aircraft, make sure you do not press any but- tons on the electronic key while inside the ai rcraft cabin. If you are carrying an electronic
key in your bag etc., ensure that the buttons are not likely to be pressed accidentally. Pressing a button may cause the electronic key to emit radio waves that could interferewith the operation of the aircraft.
■Electronic key battery depletion
●The standard battery life is 1 to 2 years. (The card key battery life is about a year and a half.)
●If the battery becomes low, an alarm will so und in the cabin when the hybrid system is stopped. ( P. 559)
●As the electronic key always receives radio waves, the battery will become depleted
even if the electronic key is not used. The following symptoms indicate that the elec- tronic key battery may be depleted. Replace the battery when necessary. ( P. 511)
• The smart entry & start system or the wireless remote control does not operate.
• The detection area becomes smaller. • The LED indicator on the key surface does not turn on.
●To avoid serious deterioration, do not leave the electronic key within 1 m (3 ft.) of thefollowing electrical appliances that produce a magnetic field:
•TVs
• Personal computers • Cellular phones, cordless phones and battery chargers• Recharging cellular phones or cordless phones
• Table lamps • Induction cookers

The number of keys already registered to the vehicle can be confirmed. Ask any autho- rized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another du ly qualified and equipped professional for details.
■If a wrong key is used
The key cylinder rotates freely, isolated from the internal mechanism.

NOTICE
■To prevent key damage
●Do not drop the keys, subject them to strong shocks or bend them.
●Do not expose the keys to high temperatures for long periods of time.
●Do not get the keys wet or wash them in an ultrasonic washer etc.
●Do not attach metallic or magnetic materials to the keys or place the keys close to such materials.
●Do not disassemble the keys.
●Do not attach a sticker or anything else to the surface of the electronic key.
●Do not place the keys near objects that produce magnetic fields, such as TVs, audio
systems and induction cookers.
■Carrying the electronic key on your person
Carry the electronic key 10 cm (3.9 in.) or more away from electric appliances that are
turned on. Radio waves emitted from electric a ppliances within 10 cm (3.9 in.) of the electronic key may interfere with the key, causing the key to not function properly.
■In case of a smart entry & start system malfunction or other key-related problems
Take your vehicle with all the electronic keys provided with your vehicle, including the card key, to any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional.

■Operation signals
The emergency flashers flash to indicate th at the doors have been locked/unlocked. (Locked: once; Unlocked: twice)
A buzzer sounds to indicate that th e windows and moon roof are operating.
■Security feature
If a door is not opened within approximately 30 seconds after the vehicle is unlocked, the security feature automatically locks the vehicle again.
■Welcome light illumination control
The front position, tail and license plate lights automatically turn on at night when the doors are unlocked using the entry function or wireless remote control if the light switch
is in the “AUTO” position.
■When the door cannot be locked by the lock sensor on the surface of the door handle
■Door lock buzzer
If an attempt to lock the doors is made when a door is not fully closed, a buzzer sounds
continuously for 5 seconds. Fully close the door to stop the buzzer, and lock the vehicle once more.
■Setting the alarm (if equipped)
Locking the doors will set the alarm system. ( P. 102)
■If the smart entry & start system or the wireless remote control does not operate prop- erly
Use the mechanical key and/or inside lock buttons to lock and unlock the doors. ( P. 578) Replace the key battery with a new one if it is depleted. ( P. 511)

■Side window open/close function linked to door operation
When a door is opened, its window opens slightly. When a door is closed, its window closes completely.
■Switching the door unlock function
It is possible to set which doors the entry function unlocks using the wireless remote con- trol.
Turn the power switch off.
For vehicles with an intrusion sensor: Cancel the intrusion sensor and tilt sensor of the alarm system to prevent unintended trigge ring of the alarm while changing the set- tings. ( P. 105)
When the indicator light on the key su rface is not on, press and hold or
for approximately 5 seconds wh ile pressing and holding .
The setting changes each time an operatio n is performed, as shown below. (When changing the setting continuously, release the buttons, wait for at least 5 seconds, and
repeat step .)
For vehicles with an alarm: To prevent unin tended triggering of the alarm, unlock the doors using the wireless remote control and op en and close a door once after the set-
tings have been changed. (If a door is not opened within 30 seconds after is
pressed, the doors will be locked again and the alarm will automatically be set.)
In a case that the alarm is triggered, immediately stop the alarm. ( P. 103)

Using the trunk grip, lower the trunk
without applying force to the side and
push the trunk down from the outside
to close it.
To protect luggage stored in the trunk against theft, the luggage security system
can be set to on.
Move the luggage security system
levers to the lock position.
To lock a luggage security system lever from inside the cabin, fold the rear
seatback forward, move the lever to the lock position, and return the seatback toits original position.
To disable the trunk opener, turn the
main switch in the glove box off.

When the main switch is off, the trunk lid cannot be opened even with the
wireless remote control or entry function.

■Trunk light
●The trunk light turns on when the trunk is opened.
●If the trunk light is left on when the power switch is turned off, the light will go off auto- matically after 20 minutes.
■Function to prevent the trunk being locked with the electronic key inside
●When both side doors are locked, closing the trunk lid with the electronic key left insidethe trunk will sound an alarm.
In this case, the trunk lid can be opened by pressing the trunk release button on the trunk lid.
●If the spare electronic key is put in the trunk with both side doors locked, the key con-
finement prevention function is activated so the trunk can be opened. In order to pre- vent theft, take all electronic keys with you when leaving the vehicle.
●If the electronic key is put in the trunk with both side doors locked, the key may not be
detected depending on the location of the key and the surrounding radio wave condi- tions. In this case, the key confinement prevention function cannot be activated, causingthe doors to lock when the trunk is closed. Make sure to check where the key is before
closing the trunk.
●The key confinement prevention function cannot be activated if either door is unlocked. In this case, open the trunk using the trunk opener.
■Using the mechanical key
The trunk can be also opened using the mechanical key. ( P. 579)
■If the smart entry & start system or the wireless remote control does not operate prop-
erly
Use the mechanical key to unlock the trunk. ( P. 579) Replace the key battery with a new one if it is depleted. ( P. 511)

■Alarms and warning indicators
An alarm sounds and warning messages are di splayed on the multi-information display to protect against unexpected accidents or theft of the vehicle resulting from erroneous
operation. When a warning message is displayed, take appropriate measures based on the displayed message. ( P. 542)
When only an alarm sounds, circumstances and correction procedures are as follows.
■Battery-saving function
The battery-saving function will be activated in order to prevent the electronic key bat-
tery and the 12-volt battery from being discharged while the vehicle is not in operation for a long time.
●In the following situations, the smart entry & start system may take some time to unlock
the doors.
• The electronic key has been left within approximately 2 m (6 ft.) of the outside of the vehicle for 10 minutes or longer.
• The smart entry & start system has no t been used for 5 days or longer.
●If the smart entry & start system has not been used for 14 days or longer, the doors can-
not be unlocked at the passenger door. In this case, hold the driver’s door handle, or use the wireless remote control or mechanical key, to unlock the doors.
